Pretty much what it says on the tin. Each Sunday or Monday, I select a song that I'm either interested in or has some sort of relevance to recent events, be it with the world at large or with me personally (mostly me personally ). I've been doing this for some years now (since... I want to say 2014, but don't quote me on that), so naturally I've accumulated a bit of a playlist. If anyone wants to skim through just what I've selected in that time frame, feel free to check the link below: My Song Of The Week In the meantime, we'll kick things off here at EP on the week of 6/3/2019 with:
Week of 6/17/2019: The theme from the 1978 movie Ice Castles, "Through the Eyes of Love". I have fond memories of this song. When I was a kid, I used to listen to my mom play this on the piano. Sadly she's lost feeling in the tips of her fingers since then, making piano playing much more difficult.
Week of 6/24/2019: Megumi Hayashibara's "In the Limitless Desires". Darkness beyond twilight, and that. EDITED 6-21-2020: The song was deleted off of YouTube (took the holders long enough, considering how many years it's been there), and doesn't exist there in its entirety anymore. As such, have an off-site link.
Week of 7/15/2019: "Dreaming in Stereo" by Michael Walthius, a.k.a. The Keyboard Wizard. As far as MIDIs went in the 1990s, this guy was pretty big.
Week of 9/9/2019: This remix of Toby Fox's MEGALOVANIA that was dropped on the heads of Smash Ultimate players within this past week. Never played either game, nor do I intend to. I like to think I can recognize the impact that the announcement had, though.
Week of 9/16/2019: One look at that face down there, and you'll know what it was I picked. ...But seriously, it's the Joker's theme from Batman: The Animated Series.
Week of 9/23/2019: 'Sono Na Ha Gaiking Gure To', from the soundtrack of Gaiking: The Legend of Daiku Maryu.
Week of 10/7/2019: Considering that the final three episodes of FiM are airing in the USA this weekend, I can't think of a better song to send off the series than Red Vs. Blue's own "Now That We've Come So Far", by Jeff Williams and Nicole D'andrea. When you stop to think about it, the lyrics fit.
Week of 10/14/2019: This orchestral rearrangement of "Charming Domination", Ran Yakumo's stage music from Perfect Cherry Blossom.
