Week of 6/15/2015: The Cure's cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Purple Haze". My older brother had this album when I was a kid, but PH is the only song from it I have any familiarity with.

You know what? I'm not going to worry too much anymore if I missed a day. I'll just post one on the next time I sign in and leave it at that.

    Sooo...

Week of 7/6/2015: Will Smith's "Men in Black".

Week of 3/2/2020: David Syme's Taboo. Fun fact: Mr. Syme used to be one of the hosts of a radio show in the Dearborn, MI area, and this song would play at the end of the program.

Useless trivia: my Dad has an autographed copy of the CD this song's on. :D

Week of 7/13/2015: Kylie Minogue with "The Locomotion". This is the version of the song I grew up hearing. I want to say this is on my older sibling's yearbook video, but I forget. It's been a while since I've watched it, I'm kind of in pain right now, and I'm not in the mood to try and remember.

Week of 7/20/2015: This piece of music from Metroid Prime. Never played the game before; I just remember the song used as BGM during a recorded Worms Armageddon match on YouTube.

Week of 7/27/2015: Def Leppard's "Rocket". Fun fact: prior to 2015, I never paid much attention to Def Leppard. I read a story on Fimfiction called "Misunderstandings" that had this song linked, and it clicked.

And, since it's technically Saturday now...

Week of 8/3/2015: Swirl 360's "Hey Now Now". See previous song.

The Japanese indie-game franchise Touhou Project is MLP:FiM's rival for sheer memetic mutation. In addition, the sheer collection of fanworks that exist out there (with my own 'Fantasy of Utter Ridiculousness' lumped in with them) would probably make the Internet collapse if they were all gathered together into one place.

It kinda disappoints me that there's so few good crossovers between the two franchises. It'll require me to get some of my energy back, but let's see if I can fix that this year. :trixieftw:

I have no particular reason to say any of that, honestly. I've just been in a bit of a Touhou mood recently. And with that in mind... Week of 3/9/2020: "Waltz of the Scarlet Devil", Remilia Scarlet's boss theme from the Touhou fangame "Koumajou Densetsu".

Week of 8/17/2015: The Beatles' "I'm Happy Just To Dance With You". For whatever reason YouTube vids of the Beatles keep getting blocked in the USA, so I'm not posting a link to it.

Week of 8/24/2015: Alphaville's "The Jet Set".

Week of 3/16/2020: "Illusion", the opening theme from El-Hazard: Wanderers. Show was middle-of-the-road for me when I saw it in college, but I always did like this song.

Week of 3/23/2020: Supertramp's "Gone Hollywood". For some reason, the "dumb motel near the Taco Bell" lyric never ceases to get me, even though it probably shouldn't.
