Rust nodded, and as they would arrived moments later, they were too late. Houses were busted up, there were three dead bodies on the ground, most of the ponies being injured and crippled, and some doing what they can to make sure they survived. One of the Scavengers came running to Rust, his head bleeding a little, "H-hey! they attacked!" "I can see that, what is going on now?" Rust would ask back. "We are gathering the wounded and what supplies we can, we are going to get them patched up. The Scavengers and military will be getting together to go after those Raiders, they took some mares for breeding cattle, or thats what I heard." Rust would think, "Let me get to my equipment first, I'm going."
Swift heard "breeding cattle" and got angry immediately. "What can I do to help?" she asked with conviction.
"Ponies that are threats to you, must be potential threats to my people," Swift said with conviction. "I don't need a reason to help other than I want to. I don't want to be an enemy," she said.
He gave it thought, but sighed, "fine then, you can come along," HE would then start walking, "Follow me."
She nodded and started to follow the tall stallion. "You're pretty fast, by the way," she said attempting conversation.
"Yeah, I;ve been told that," He says coldly as they would enter an old building and turned on the lights, revealing racks upon racks of not melee weapons, but of rather firearms.
Swift looks at the firearms with wonder. While she has seen them before, she never got the chance to see them up close. "Ammunition is rare for these things, isn't it?"
"Well yes, but there were some gun stores we did scavenge, so we do have some ammunition to last us for several years, for now at least," He would say grabbing an Assault Rifle
Swift was impressed by the tone he used to command. She couldn't help but be inspired to do the mission perfectly.
As they would move on through the thick forests, they would eventually pick up the trail of where the Raiders were. And as they arrived, they would only see a heavily guarded base, not a tribe, and entire military base, approximately two miles in length and one mile in width and forty-two feet in height. Rust would give the signal to fall into his position, things were going to have to change now.
Swift thought her hunter skills would be helpful and she was right. She was trained to make sure she wasn't seen and to make sure her targets weren't heard. "Just tell me who needs to die," she said to him, plainly.
He would look to one of the Solider's as they would arrive got his position. They were well hidden behind the trees and forest and thick brush. "Squad one, scout out Wing South, do not get caught. Two, you have West, we have the North."
Giving the signal, each troop would shoot off a round, an arrow, or something silent. The guards would fall to the ground, each one not making a sound to alarm anyone. Rust made a motion with his hoof and they began to move in.
As they would move to the gates of each side of the base, they were still in complete stealth. There was no noise in the base but the troops that ran their drills. Rusted Cog made some motions with his hoof and two of the Soldiers would climb over the gate and into a watch tower, noise of very little struggle from within coming out. They would drop a robe down, Rust would signal Swift to climb up.
