As Rust would climb up, the would cut the rope, and looked into his sniper scope. The Base seemed heavily guarded, troops were running drills and going through major training. He would sigh, and then saw Squadron One moving into one of the barracks. Rust gave the signal to move out and stay hidden.
Swift looked at the guards, seeing the weakpoints in their armor. 'A well placed arrow in the eye would kill easily, can I get the same accuracy with the pistol?'
Rust and the rest f the squadron snuck down, signaling for Swift to follow. They would hide behind crates, stealthily sneaking around the enemy with no problem.
Following Rust and going into her hunter mindset, Swift looked around for sentries, the ones trained to look for intruders. Whispering to Rust, "kill and hide the lookouts, best way to stay hidden."
Rust would only nod, understanding what must happen. He and another snuck behind two of the Sentries, and gabbed then from behind by the mouths and slit their throats, pushing their bodies over the side where none would be able to see them, it was night anyway, so the others could not be able to see where the lights did not shine at all. Rust would slowly open a door, seeing Squad One in cover and keeping silence. There were two guards in the other room, chatting about the location of the 'Breeding Cattle.'
"Yeah, well I've heard they were going to move the breeders somewhere else, I don't care at all, I have kids back at home that I need to take care of. Boss did say something about a basement of some sort, the size of a market or something." One guard would say to the other. "Meh, I could care less either, its just a bunch of bullcrap we are having to stay here. I heard about that freak accident with your wife, she okay?" The other guard asked back. "Yeah, she's fine, just a broken a leg and a few ribs is all. The doctors are fixing her up right at the moment, and dads watching the kids for me while I do my job, it ain't easy doing this and taking care of a family at the same time you know.: "Maybe you should just quit," The other guard suggested. "I can't with how much supplies and resources we get, its like we're rich without the bits. I don't know how they even get the stuff like they do, but whatever they do it does go towards families and what not. Still though, I can't wait to get that promotion!"
Swift wonders if it's okay to kill them. Hunting involves getting rid of blights. Though, any pony referring a mare as breeding stock is very close to death with her. "Do they deserve to die?" she whispered to Rust.
"Negative," He cut himself off as the guards passed by, the room being pitch dark besides the room they were in. They were laughing about some joke as they exited the building. Rust gave the signal to move out.
Swift followed the signal with her pistol out, she took a place of hiding and surveyed her new surroundings.
They would soon find a door on the ground, and giving another signal, Rust would open the doors that lead to a downward staircase.
(Hey, I have a question, do you think this should be anthro? Because we have weapons and what not and we are doing stuff similar to what human militants normally do.) Rust gave the signal to follow, and carefully but swiftly went down the stairs, careful not to make any noises at all. He could hear large amounts of talking, mostly mares though. This was it, this was the breeding cattle the guards were talking about.
(Yeah, lets make this anthro.) Swift followed Rust down the stairs and heard the mares talking. She moved a bit faster, almost running into him, and took up a hiding spot, grabbing her knife and her pistol, she looked to see if any guards we posted.
There were only five guards, each on heavily armed. There mares and dragonian women trapped in cages, each on in their own age group. They looked injured, starving, thirsty, etc. They only wore thin clothing, slave clothing. Rust gripped his rifle tightly, giving the signal to move out and kill.
Swift sneaked up on the guards, taking great measure not to be seen or heard. As she moved closer, she saw the most vulnerable spots to both shoot and to stick a knife in to kill. Signaling to Rust which ones she could kill quickly, silently asking to shoot the other two. As she moved, she found the idea spot to do her hunter work. She sunk and twisted a knife into the underarm artery of the first guard as she shot the other two, severing their brain-stem.
Rust was quick with taking out the last two guards, he would look to two of the troops, "Cover us, make sure no one goes through the entrance," He said as the two nodded and went up. He would make his way to Swift, pulling two keys off of a guard, "You get the left, I have right."
