the only thing that i want to point is that i dont want to call any attention or push my bronism over people's throats by using these shirts, its just that i have the right to use it on the street like everyone uses they favorite's band shirt, or his favorite soccer club shirt (basebal, basketbal or footbal depending on your country) without being attacked on the middle of the street and beaten up like a raper, a murderer or a monster came from power rangers. Im a humam being god damn it! I'm not a monster! its just me being individual, not something that is so terrible. (sorry if i sound mad at the comment, its just that i get angry when i remember what happened, even if i try to love and tolerate)
If there's a message in here for anypony, it is; don't give in to small minded thuggishness. Rome wasn't built in a day, as they say. But together, if we don't give up, we can change the world. *Hugs Sonic*
I display my bronyism as much as anyone would display something that they are proud of. It's similar to religious items, such as a crucifix or a hijab. I wear it to expressive who I am as an individual. I don't force it upon anybody, as I wouldn't like anything forced upon me. I mean, I'm still waiting for the chance to buy some shirts, so when I walk down the street, it's there for everyone to see, and nothing more. I'm not waving a flag, I'm not playing Winter Wrap Up out loud, I'm not shouting out pony references. It's just on display. If somebody points out that I am a brony, maybe by mentioning my shirt or my ringtone, then they have actively sought it out. It was never shoved in their face to the point that they had to bring it up to make me stop it, they pointed it out because they wanted to. I'm a pretty timid guy, I'm very easy going and I make a hell of a lot of compromises for the sake of other people, but (and this sounds exactly like Fluttershy) when something happens that I believe is wrong, I completely flip and I will do something about it. I absolutely refuse to stop expressing myself, which is something every single person on the planet should be able to do, just because somebody doesn't like me doing so. As I said, if I was loud about it, I could understand, but wearing a shirt and not bothering anybody is nowhere near that. Sonic, I am so sorry for what happened to you. I'm glad you aren't letting it get in your way though, take pride in the fact that what you're doing is the absolute right thing. You have to remember, it's most likely that they will remain homophobic, ignorant, judgemental social retards for the rest of their lives. You on the other hand, will always have the most loving, caring, friendly community known to man. Those bruises and scars will heal shortly, but being an ignorant douche that no-one likes doesn't go away as easily. Just remember that. It's why I have no fear walking past tough looking people. I would gladly remind them that nothing they can do to me is as bad as being a lowlife reject with the common sense of an angry bear. I'd rather be a good person with a few black eyes than a douche being able to brag about how they beat up a kid who refused to fight back. EDIT: Just realised I forgot Fluttershy's wings. Damn.
I'm in a cmounity that help me when im in trouble, supports me and gives me all the hugs that i need. If someone ever say to you that bronies are sick, or weird or freaks you ask them something: does your Gym fellas give you a hug when you are depressed? do your football team buddys give you a friendly shouder when you lost someone that you love? do your homophobic, intolerant and crazy friends glomps you when you got a beat up because someone didnt like the way you are?
ok ok , I have something to say now. As I said in some other topic, it's very brave fro Sonic to ware that t-shirt and that was very wrong that happened to him. but. I think some of members here have gone bit overboard. In way: when I read it, if I don't have a clue I would think that bronyism is some kind of cult, religion or section. Personally, I wouldn't want it to happen, but bronies and bronyism to stay as fandom of the show. I mean, wear mlp t-shirts because you like the show, as you would wear t-shirt of your favorite band, but please, don't go beyond being just fan of the show. Yes, we fans stick together, and show thought us something, but let's just be about it like any other thing in life that we really like. Don't think I'm different, I'm in process of making Spike highback sock which I'll everywhere where I'll snowboard, I also plan to buy one Derpy t-shirt that I saw, but I'll wear it because I like the show, not to ram ponies into someone's face. We as bronies, if nothing, show thought us not to be show offs and think that we're better than non bronies. Wear mlp clothes for your love of the show and the ponies, not to point something to non bronies, please. And please, let mlp stay fandom, and nothing more. you know that that will just make problems.
yeti is right, trying to think that we are better wont solve anything, and will only bring more problems, im sorry if i gave the idea that i think i am best of a non brony. i just like the show and thats all, i just want to be free to express something that i like in public and that nothing that happened to me happens to anyone. we are just peple like everyone else, no diferent. so i think its going a little bit too far, even being a huge fan im nothing more than that: just a fan.
To me it seems out there (out side of the UK) you get it all pretty bad. I mean in the Uk we get LOADS of people wearing odd stuff as well as what class *normal* an I've hardly ever heard of people getting beat up due to what they wear, In the UK you get a mix of Chav, Skater, Gothic, Posh, Hipsters, Sports Type & more, Plus even stranger styles. Hell I wear what I want. I mean BRONIES - When I DJ at raves in the UK THIS is what the girls wear to raves here in the UK >> http://www.contagiousclubwear.com/
I agree with the last couple of comments. When we start closing off and act as some 'secret organisation', people will start seeing us that way. Remember we are just here because we are likeminded people that like an awesome cartoon together. If other people have a problem with that... mkay, who cares? "Back to ponies." ~Luprony And why would we hit the activism? It would only seem as if we're trying hard to get other people to watch the show. And this, in turn, will make us look like some kind of 'religon'. It sure is very wrong what happened to Sonic Bluefire, and it is understandable you want to fight this injustice. But you shouldn't do this as 'someone who likes MLP:FIM', but instead as a person that wants to live in a kinder, friendlier and more tolerant world. And @Sonic: Please know you're awesome and we all love you <3
@Setzer; 1 shirt makes it all happen. While me on the other hand... have 5 brony shirts that don't have any ridiculous color scheme, besides 1 light blue Derpy shirt. All the rest are RD Shirts like always. To everypony else, don't be shy and show your Brony pride to the public like the rest of us! :derpe: EDIT: These are the ones I ordered. http://www.welovefine.com/product.php?id_product=665 http://www.welovefine.com/product.php?id_product=655 http://www.welovefine.com/product.php?id_product=495 http://www.welovefine.com/product.php?id_product=648 and one RBD shirt from here. http://shirtsbyshift.spreadshirt.com/ I'm not too fond of Derpy's Light Blue. I'm so neutral. (Black/White/Grey) I feel bad for you Sonic. Thus I try to wear/buy the most "hide-my-power-level" T-Shirts I could get from the internet. Anyways, going to try to wear all 5 in public when I get them. :derpe: P.S. Love and Tolerate haters.
i think i just let this thing get up to my head, we are not that diferent from anyone else, even if it happened to me i dont think that i am better than them, i made some bad things and have my mind clear that its everything on the past. Its up to them wht to have on their minds, i just got a brand new rainbow dash shirt, im ordering an applejacks one and one with a megaman drawing. I love you all guys, for suporting and being such kind and lovely people
Me too! Also Sonic and I will wear our shirts like a PONY! Still waiting for mine to get in production and ship over here.
