It's still a wip (especially towards the end) atm Really I'm not intensely satisfied with how it's come out so far, the more I listen to good dubstep the more I feel I should just restart (especially when it comes to mixing on the drums) - but of course it has plenty of other flaws anyways so I'm just going to follow through with this and finish it anyway, then start fresh and hopefully make something a bit higher quality (and a theme or something). Right now my main problem is trying to get the level of reverb on the drums just right, I think I don't have enough atm when I had too much before. Here's an earlier wip with more reverb (note that the bass gets really out of hand mix wise later in the song and causes tons of clipping in this one). http://www.box.net/shared/8sl4m40dv2 Also I may be abusing the bit crusher a little in the newer wip Dubstep just seems to be a particularly hard genre to execute well, it's definitely providing me more trouble then any other type
Well, you went a long way to finally reach this, I remember the first couple of WIPs... Wow, I think it was about 3 weeks or so ago? I love the beat, honestly!
On my phone at the moment but I'll be sure to check this out soon, maybe an everypony.com theme is something to think about in the future? ^^
