    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
    Why would they do that?!

Why couldn't this show come out in the 90s :(
Back then people wouldn't have taken this so seriously.

As pissed off as I am about this, alot of people seem to forget:

MAJORITY Wins. In this case, the majority is the amount of parents who hover over their children when they do anything, and the amount of trolls who like to see people suffer.

There's not much we can do about it. We can sign all the petions we'd like to sign, but it still wouldn't change the fact that there are alot of more paranoid and idiotic people than there are bronies.

Maybe, if we would get lucky, there will be a special "Brony Edition" of Season 2 on DVD. We will never know for sure.

I seriously doubt Hasbro got over 30,000 complaints from parents. It seems like quite the opposite in this case. A few offended people is all it takes for the removal and censorship of something.

You know I wonder whether all of this is actually down to the PC brigade and trolls or whether it's Apple sticking their oar in. Whatever the case, it's a ridiculous situation and I can't really see it doing Hasbro any favours in the long run. For what it's worth I don't mind the new voice but changing Derpy's eyes and not naming her seems petty in the extreme. As others have pointed out, the edits actually send a worse message, effectively airbrushing a character who wasn't stereotypically "normal" and yet became a beloved fan favourite. And as others have said, it's somewhat strange to see Hasbro wigging out about Derpy when they've already given us Snips and Snails...
I hope this doesn't cause the fandom to turn on itself, taking out our frustrations on other members of the community is wrong and totally counter productive. Hopefully in the long run it will make the community stronger...and hopefully Hasbro will realise just how bloody daft they're being. Long live Derpy! :derpe:

The majority in this case are those against this change. Very few people complained and the ones that are standing up against this change far outnumber those that wanted to make this change. Hasbro listened to the wrong people and mad an abrupt and poor decision without considering all of the factors and who would ultimately be offended. Not to mention them making this stupid change must have cost them a lot of money. The real crime was committed by a few loud mouthed, ignorant, extremists who just want to spread as much hatred and censor everything that they don't like. Those are the people that need to be put in their place. The rights of a few people should not be given over the rights of millions of others. If this is the kinds of things that are acceptable then we may as well ban all movies, all TV shows, all music, all religions, everything that someone could ever complain about.

oh come on now hasbro. Was this really necessary? Call it overreacting if you want but that scene was one the best moments this season. I say it got alot of priase from the community. Now they dumb it down to something forgettable by making derpy into a normal looking pony and removing her name.

Other than that, I hate when they remake, change a scene from videos/cartoons/movies. If anyone has seen some of the changes that were made in the original star wars trilogy will know what it feels like.

Everypony...I can't..........I'm disabled with cerebral palsy, so I loved Derpy so, so much, and...this just.....i'm gutted! :(

THIS IS NOT PROTECTING MY KIND AT ALL!!! This is dumbing things down and making us seem unable to laugh...she did me GOOD to see...and they took her away! :(

I'm not hating, but this is wrong!! I feel so cheated and lied to...they told us NOTHING about who's voicing her, Nothing about who caused this or why, or even if she'll be CALLED derpy anymore! all that DA animator said on ED was shut the hell up and trust us! WE DID TRUST YOU!! :(

I'm hurt...again, I'm disabled and this is wrong...it's wrong, and the people at the show gave us no compassion in return....I'm gong to cry....I can't bare the thought of ever seeing her again as she REALLY is...yeah, you TELL us she'll be Okay...but you changed her in the first place 3*=

As a disabled person, I am disgusted...i'm in pain right now...you have no idea what she meant to me.........yes, shes a cartoon, but this whole thing STINKS and I hate it! :(

Help me guys...I'm not taking this well at all...*sniffle* =/

I liked the original, though the remake didn't bother me, but I really don't understand why they didn't just change her name to "Ditsy" in the remake. That would have fixed the flow of Rainbow Dash's "Careful ____" statement, and given the series more continuity.

Nope, Ditzy is another word for silly. However, I think if Ditzy had been used, diehard Derpy fans would still be mad that now the beloved name Derpy will no longer be used.

    Holy crap.
She may be fictional, but that... that was sad.

It's associated vice versa in that, though wrongly. Neither means stupid.

Her voice is an appropriate change, but everything else is not. I don't like how Hasbro went back on their word.

oh god, the tears...they wont stop...

for a fictional background character, derpy, for some reason, sorta inspired me. she just sorta did her thing, and didnt care what people said. maybe thats why im so angry/disappointed about this.

I'm going to be torn from limb to limb here, but I've got to say this: The removal's for the best. Hasbro knew that by including Derpy, they were taking a huge risk. And they knew that by having a possibly-mentally-handicapped pony on the show, they were risking the general audience, as well as the fanbase. They took a huge risk, and it fell flat in the end. I really don't care about the fanon, but I'll do it when I'm bored.

Now, my thoughts on the redub: Derpy's voice was noticeably improved. Apparently, Tabitha was re-informed that Derpy was a female. But Rainbow Dash seems...off. Ashleigh must have been having a bad day, cause RD sounds bored out of her skull.

Anyways, Hasbro, if you're reading this, please let the fans have Derpy back, so we can shut them up. No offense.

Nah I don't think we'll tear you limb from limb, maybe rough you up a bit though. :derpe:

This is why, personally, I think Derpy should have just remained in the background, as a little gift to us bronies. As for Ashleigh, I'm sure she was "thrilled" to be called back to the studio to re-do a perfect and adorable scene between Derpy and Rainbow.

We need to write letters to Hasbro voicing our opinions. But remember to keep it civil and with a level of maturity. We don't want to yell at them, but we don't want to just huddle in the corner and accept this. It's our right to tell them how we feel.

I dunno if I can enjoy the show the same way...I mean, I can, but it will hurt knowing that hasbro, when push came to shove, said "NO, WE DON'T CARE ABOUY YOU FANS WHO *MADE* THIS SHOW, WE NEED DAT PUBLIC IMAGE! K-CHING"

The fan-to-creator connection and bond is now OVER! ZIP. DONE. They all stabbed us in the back after all the loyalty we gave them. :(

No no. It isn't Hasbro's fault. They received complaints from strict parents and trolls that Derpy was offensive. By law, they have to acknowledge these complaints, whether legitimate or not. Otherwise they are open to lawsuits.
