lol, as soon as I saw that in the episode I started frantically watching for news of an upload of the episode JUST so I could download it and make that! XD
I think Fluttershy's transition was cheap, I mean she had no reason to become mean. As much as I lover her, her storyline seemed the cheapest, which makes me love no less. It's just I thought her character was a little poorly written for this episode. This Cliffhanger. Oh dear Celestia!!!! How can I think of anything other then ponies now! In conclusion, This premier episode, was even better then I had imagined, but at the same time was what I hoped it was about. the opposite to harmony. Reminds me of Ultima 7 Serpent Isle. Okay so I'll say it my favourite pony in this episode, let's pretend the 1st season doesn't exist, is Pinkie Pie, Chocolate Rain, Omg Pinkie, your so chocolaty and random!
Rainbow Dash had always been my favourite of the mane six, but after seeing her just fly off like that in the end, I couldn't help but resent her. I'M SO SORRY RAINBOW!!!
I wouldn't blame her for it. Discord did use his powers to corrupt her before she actually did anything, so she would've acted differently if it weren't for him. I love Discord. ^_^ It took me a minute to warm up to his design, as at first I expected him to be a pony like Luna. But nope, I think being completely surprised is even better. I like how his being a mashup of every animal ever visually shows that you can never really know what to expect from him. And it's also interesting how, in contrast to how crazy he looks and acts, he's actually a very straight thinker. He knows just how to push people's buttons. And I swear I've used the "What's the fun in making sense?" line in real life on all kinds of occasions. He and I could clearly get along like pals. XD

Discord is the poster child of Chaotic Evil. Not only is he a large ham of Lex Luthor proportions (Lex Luthor from the 70s Superman movies as opposed to Lex Luthor from Smallville), he's also a major troll. Other than those main villains who bring darkness, death, destruction and terror just because they think they have to (or for no canonical reason at all), he molests ponies for his personal lulz. Killing them all off (except those who worship him as their new supreme leader and sole deity and accept being oppressed from then on) and destroying everything isn't as entertaining, is it? For him, it's all just a game. And if it's a game for him, it's just as bloody well a game for everypony, because as he's more powerful than Celestia and Luna combined, and as he knows enough about the new and more powerful Elements of Harmony (it was the old and weaker ones that beat him) to remove them beforehand, he can make the rules as he pleases and draw into the game whomever he wants.
How interesting. Behind his joyful prankster facade, he's more sinister than I expected. He couldn't sway Fluttershy at all, but alters her mind anyway. That's low, but it also serves to make him seem even more dangerous. Not to mention the whole mind-bending thing he's got. Looks like the makers of the show may now incorporate darker themes.
Don't hate Rainbow, it's Discords fault. I haven't been this mad at a villain in a while. So you should hate Discord. I still love Dash, even as she flew away.

I like how discord turned out. I mean its something diffrent than the same old 'serious' villan concept. I am actually happy he did not turn out too be another NMM, im sure if he did i would be pretty upset.
True, and also Discords riddle perhaps hid a second meaning when he said, "If the wrong choice you choose to pursue the foundations of home will crumble without you". What Rainbow Dash was led to believe was that she was needed to save Cloudsdale, but if that was the wrong choice then without her loyalty, the 'foundations' of the groups friendship will crumble just as AJ saw it would in the pond.
I do agree. Personally, i LOVE Discord. He's one of my favourite characters, and certainly the best villain. I thought that he was an extremely creative idea for a villain. It's not that i've only never seen anything like him in the FiM world before, i've never seen ANY villain like him before! His voice fits. I, too, love his mishmashed design. And i love the way he talks to the ponies. Also (being a Christian) i thought that the way he tore the mane six apart was very like the devil. That's how the devil does things. First, of course, he separated them. One is much more easily made prey when alone. Then he snuck up on them, not revealing himself, and simply whispered deceit in their ears. The devil deceives you by making you question what you believe in, your opinion of things, and how others see you, or how you see others. He quietly feeds you lies that make you go against what's good for you. I quite enjoyed seeing a villain that works alike the devil. It was very unlikely intended to be that way, but i found the similarity quite interesting. And the fact that the voice actor was in Star Trek made me love Discord all the more. xD
If I didn't know any better, I'd say Discord wanted to be beaten. He could have easily stayed in control if he didn't give so many hints and let his guard down multiple times. Perhaps when he comes back he just wants to get his fill of bending reality at his will. It may sound weird, but if he really wanted to he could have kept all the ponies in the dark forever. If it were me, I'd get so bored having that kind of power after a short amount of time.
If discord was actually a thing of chaos, which he undoubtedly is and I just realized I answered my own fact here. Discord is most likely a spawn of Tezzntch the Changer of ways only because he is made up of different animals and is thus a thing of chaos in his own right... sorry everypony my Warhammer 40k/Warhammer Fantasy was itching during the entire episode whenever Discord said "chaos" and it had to be let out.
Discord is Q? Of course, he would be. The way I figure it, he's the embodiment of chaos, and continuous, monotonous chaos is not all that chaotic. If he was in control forever, that would imply there was some sort of order to Equestria, which is the opposite of chaos. Maybe it really was in his nature to allow himself to be defeated. While I was watching, though, I wondered if Luna would help the Mane Six defeat Discord. Faust said she would make more appearances this season.
Discord is one of my favorite characters in MLP now. Definitely, I loved his personality, voice & looks, not to mention his plan was actually more decent then making it night forever.
