So... Who bought this masterpiece? The only minorly bad thing i can say about it is that they recycled some stuff from Skyrim, but i don't really care. For example, Corvo's special abilities basically have the same effects as some of the dragon shouts in Skyrim. (Except summoning rats) That said, this game is perfect in almost every way, my opinion is it'll get Game of the Year, and Angry Joe would no doubt give it his Badass Seal of Approval. 9,5/10 (because i never give 10 )
I'll play it sooner or later. I'm awful at stealth games, but I refuse to play a game like that with guns blazin'. I just move as slowly as possible while humming the Mission Impossible theme.
Is this as good as they say because i might get this if i cant get the Mass Effect trillogy boxset for PS3
This game is a gem! Its awesome! Just how many different ways you can go... i played it together with my boyfriend and sometime we retried missions just to look how the idea of the other would work out... oh man so much fun! And i dont know so many people say the graphics are bad... i really like them o.ô
My friend was just telling me about this yesterday! I don't have the funds for it yet, but it sounds amazing. Maybe I'll be able to get it during the Steam Christmas Sale.
It's amazing, takes me back to Thief 3 <3 - True stealth/assassin games. HOWEVER, I don't think it's quite as re-playable as people say it is, not for me anyhow - I mean the missions are quite linear, particularly towards the end of the game - different routes but same guards between and same target at the end. Also the story was rather predictable... But stealth wise? Combat wise? Epicness wise? Can't fault it. Brilliant game.
We all know you shouldn't buy a Bethesda game for the epic story. I mean, they're not bad, but The Elder Scrolls basically had the same formula every time. Country in need, you're the long-predicted messiah, go save it. Done. But yeah, Dishonored is a bit too linear.
Common misconception, seeing as how they plastered their name everywhere, but Bethesda didn't develop it, Arkane Studios did. Bethesda just published it. But yeah, last good ES story was Morrowind in my opinion, though Skyrim did improve on Oblivion.
While I wait for this to go on sale I think I'm going to reinstall and play the old Thief games again. Those were great.
I'm tempted to reinstall 3 myself, as good as dishonoured is, it just can't compete with the open-endedness of Thief <3 And, ah mah gawd. Thief 4 is in production. Don't screw it up Eidos, for the love of - PLEASE DON'T MESS IT UP!!
They better get the same voice actor! Garret had a perfect voice in those games. And it sounds like he's voicing the main character in the new Bioshock too, I think.
