Okay, I am extremely peeved off seeing as I'm a huge star wars fan. Hopefully the developers form a new studio and still create games like this. Also I don't think this is the end for star wars games seeing as it's not just Lucasarts who makes them. Bioware is making the old republic.

I read that Disney is actually just leaving the games out their for anyone to buy the rights and start making them. They even said in one article that they are simply waiting for help in making the games. Whether this is true or not we'll never fully know.

Calm down they haven't destroyed star wars completely. I believe they are selling the rights to 1313 and first assault to other companies. So it's not just Lucasarts that can make star wars games. Bioware created the old republic so why not other companies. Also Lucasarts is in charge of the game side of things. They haven't shut down LucasFilms so still expect JJ Abrams to make episode 7.

Also boycotting won't solve anything.so by boycotting your Basically boycotting everything in this wiki article which you should just look at:

    Ewoks.
Boba Fett dying like a (rhymes with 'witch').
    Jar Jar Binks.
    Greedo shooting first.

Disney did NOT destroy Star Wars.
George Lucas did that a long time ago.

It's not as if i was objectifying the boycotting page as a way to alleviate this issue, which by the way is a huge issue because two new games were near finished in development when Disney decides to shut down LA because they say it's "UNPROFITABLE"? Are you kidding me? A MONKEY could turn a profit with Lucas Arts. And no, George did what was initially intended with the series. Never did he veer off track or "ruin" the franchise. Disney did that here and now. AND YES i am boycotting all of those things, by the way, by boycotting disney which i am very aware of.

-sigh- Boycotting Disney won't be of much help here, LucasArts Studios were nothing but a microscopic fraction of what the company's annual revenue is.
Now, you have the parks, the film studios, stocks and many other things that will still provide said revenue. Saying they killed the franchise is a bit exaggerated in my opinion, if anything only the games were the ones to take a blow.

"“After evaluating our position in the games market, we’ve decided to shift LucasArts from an internal development to a licensing model, minimizing the company’s risk while achieving a broader portfolio of quality Star Wars games,”

Which to me is more than just a wise choice. The franchise is still alive, the movies are still there, the novels are still there, the fandom remains.

Apparently the 1313 game was going to star Boba Fett. The demo they showed just had a placeholder player character.....the lost potential is staggering. >.<

OF COURSE! there is episode VII coming out in 2015... so don't worry. remember when Lauren Faust left MLP? well... you could compare that moment to this... how much did it really affect the show? If anything, I think it's a great opportunity for the new people in charge to make something that was great, into something even greater! besides... this whole situation was about the games... not the whole Star Wars franchise.

Honestly, Kinect is far from the only disastrous game LucasArts made lately. Alot of people might be pissed about the fact that Disney ended LucasArts, but quite frankly, I applaud them. LucasArts made nothing but average at best games in the last 10 years or so.

The last genuinly good games i remember from LucasArts were KotOR1 and 2. Even the KotOr MMO, which was advertised as the game that could potentially kill World of Warcraft (LOL NO!), was pretty mediocre if not worse.

So yeah. I don't really care that Disney ended it.
