*Sadly I can't link the YouTube video because it has been deleted twice but try to find a way to listen to this*

My new favorite album is "In The Court Of The Crimson King" by King Crimson and when I say favorite I mean super-duper mega awesome amazing spectacular astounding :omg: album of all time!!

I liked "21st Century Schizoid Man" before I knew who King Crimson were (not through Kanye, just saying) and I loved that song but recently when I listened to the whole album, I was shocked at how awesome the whole album is. Not only is it awesome how good the music is it's amazing that it is the first album from King Crimson and it came out in 1969. When you listen to it you won't believe it's that old. The level of production and technicality of the music is perfect.

Do me a favor and listen to the album no matter what kind of music you like and you won't be disappointed, I assure you.

Good stuff, reminds me of Queensrÿche but more apocalyptic and surreal.

Yes, a lot of people note King Crimson as the one of the first bands to really push forward a progressive rock sound and I'm pretty sure Queensrÿche is noted as progressive metal. Surreal is also a very good way to describe King Crimson. I love the range of the instruments and compositions, it gives it a very unique concept for an album that's meant to be realized in the same world of thought. It's very interesting.

For some crazy reason I always confuse King Crimson with King Diamond... 2 very different sounds.

Ha, yes, quite true. I also like King Diamond but they are definitely radically different.

Sounds like a less trippy version of Pink Floyd.
