Do you create OC/semi-OC ponies?

Seems more or less like the difference between consoles.
The new one looks like it's out of say later Sega Genesis or early Playstation games while the first one looks more SNESy, either way they're both good though I think the first one looks cooler, at least when it's blown up to a size where you notice the pixels easily.

 

This is what I'm aimin' for. This quality, color and animation.

 

Hmmm seems that one does a lot with highlights, a see a lot of shading in yours but not much highlighting - maybe you should try some more of that?

 

Wowee~ That's so much better than what I'm capable of. Clean line-work, small features are detailed enough to seen clearly without need to zoom/squint your eyes. Very, very nice all around.

 

Actually, I am kind of making a "comparation" from small to big - the first one was small, this one's bigger, the next one's gonna be 200x200 at least. I'm going to make it have an animation, and as much shading as possible.

 

I'm certainly going to try something. Just have to overcome that first hurdle and get a decent line work out. :|

Of Azure? Go right ahead. You're a great artist, I know whatever you churn out will look good.

(It's a snippet from a piece a friend started drawing for me last year that has long since been put on hold for a comic he was commissioned to do for a big Transformers convention in the UK, but he nailed the hair design for that character better than I ever could so I've just been using it as a reference whenever I sprite Azul.)

I'd expect some longer and prettier feedback for such an artwork! I quite love it, believe it or not. It stands out in quality, I guess. By the way, I see now that you're using paint for Pixel art, correct?
