Oh, gosh, now I feel the need to draw those people's OCs! I'm right now drawing my friend's version of pony, which is Bamboo's best friend. Well, if you want to make your OC pony more complex or complete before doing a char-design, I have something to help you here, kids.
Sure, sure. Here's a semi-OC pony that I drew for no reason- first time drawing something in a long while. I lost part of my touch, but hey- I'm monochrome and love to draw scenery more (hence the higher detail on the apple). Used a mechanical HB#2 pencil, restocked lead, flat side down for parts of the body. Used memory for body details, forgot to erase. ]
No idea. Just something I drew out of boredom in Math class while the teacher was teaching and making bad puns.
Hm, I could write an article about semi-OCs and OCs... And yes, I love classroom because of that! I always get my best inspiration thanks to the habit of drawing during boring subjects discussions, yay!
Hm, nice. It's mysterious and dark, just like you. Just that the colors seem flat, they could be, you know... For example: A red coat is not necessarily red in a dim light during night time.
lol, thanks - I guess ;D Yes, the colours are flat, ideally that could use another 8 layers of highlights on it to be deemed art but... :| That's not going to happen!
Try using monochrome colors this time. I prefer doing the flat colors then adding the light, because otherwise I have to work with bichromy, and that SUCKS Dx
I lack the patience for colour, that's the real problem. I'll have to have a good long crack at it some time, really pace myself
Well, I'm currently drawing a new pony (one of the little pony that I showed on the last page, and with her, my OC pony!) for the drawing thing on ED, and I thought- why not start my fanfic? I'll upload my old images that I found later.
1st try at super-duper-mini Pixel OC. Seems Like I have to remake him 2 times the more pixels, it's too small to add a decent cutie mark.
Damn he needs sword, otherwise I can't fault it! It's amazing and Jaret could you shade his horn a tad, do that and add a cutie and he'll be so unbelievably awesome. Sepiroth Style! EDIT: Actually come to think of it he looks more like Kuja... or whatsis face oh yah, Kadaj.
Not bad. I wouldn't use pillow-shading though like what you have there on the mane, wings and tail. It blends nicely, but it's generally not well suited for non-objects. Might I suggest a dithering technique? Sweet.
Though I love the irony about Jary's OC being like Sephiroth and haveing Epona's fur colors, I might say I dislike Final Fantasy. Hm, no more OC designs from me for now, I believe. FORGET IT! I just updated Bamboo's design and butt tattoo.
M'kay, I thought about it some more, and decided that I'm going to give Azure some ground in the MLP universe. Based on the template I finished earlier this week, I put together a new Azure sprite with a hairstyle closer to what I had for his original human design. I changed his species from land pony to pegasus as I wanted a character with wings for once(never did with any of my human/anthro characters since I always found it stupid to see an anthropomorphic wolf or tiger with giant multi-colored wings). Story-wise, he's an ex-member of the Wonderbolts, but that's about all I have. ^^;
Wow that version of Bamboo yourself is amazing, much better than the old one (not that that was bad lol o.o') And I'm loving this pixel stuff, you really should consider making a template maker of some sort, it'd be gold! Very popular I would bet
