What a Awesome Game. Despite this similar to Leagues of legends, Dota 2 is a more complex game then Leagues of Legends and I see it as for more skilled players then Leagues of legends is. I have the game, but I suck pretty hard at it. It's a lot more different from LoL than I was expecting (I'm pretty damn good at LoL). I agree with you on it being more complex.
Of course I have this game, I've played Dota games for more than 5 years, as well as HoN and LoL. I'm only good when I play with my friends though, and to me its undeniably better than LoL in pretty much every aspect.

If we're going to get technical, it was based of Starcraft first, then a map in Warcraft 3 which Blizzard holds rights to, despite holding nothing but the platform to play the game, hence legal issues when Dota 2 came around. People compare it to LoL because its more popular than DotA, being able to advertise and such. But yeah, Tomato, Tomahto. Xaniith is the Steam.
