"I'm sure they'll be fine since you have big ol' me protecting you." Scale smirks and strikes a pose.
Equinox giggles,"celestia is more protective than mom though, & she'll freak out, & when we're there don't mention anything about my storage cave, or dragons, alright?"
"I think she'll be fine..." He said and put his hoof behind his head. "Because she's the one who suggested to my brother to send me with you." He thought to himself.
"Both are that way." Scale points in a direction and a pillar of smoke is seen rising from the location. "Huh... That wasn't there earlier..."
Scale attaches himself to the other setup. "Let's move out. I really hope that isn't what I think it is."
Scale starts pulling with her. "I hope our little catch didn't have any friends coming over for dinner..."
"It shouldn't... There's shouldn't be another dragon anywhere near here, the other is on the other side of the canterlot mountain range..."
"Let's hope so. Wouldn't want a raging forest fire because of us." He frowned and turned up to the smoke cloud again. "Let's speed up..."
"Now this is something new. I like it!" They rapidly approached the source of the smoke, and a faint sounds could be heard, like that of two animals attacking each other.
Equinox signaled to be quietly, & detatched the car from herself, & started creeping towards the noise
Scale quickly followed suit an snuck behind a tree. Intense heat was coming from the source if the sound, now clarifying as a roar and a bird-like squawking sound.
A somewhat small, humanoid dragon, covered head to claw in deep purple scales was breathing fire towards a sparkling blue bird. The fire would seem to dissipate if it ever came close to the bird, but the trees would still catch. (phoenix are elemental beings. Anything besides fire is rare, but not non-existent. This one is ice.)
Equinox watched with wonder,"I've never seen an ice Phoenix in real life before...", she whispers (I know what a Phoenix is...)
(I didn't know if you were aware of the whole multiple elements thing.) "Ice Phoenix? That thing is doomed. The dragon's launching fire at it!" Scale turned to the battle, watching, enraptured. "So much destruction..."
