Scale smiled and realized his advantage. His horn sparked pale blue and the Phoenix seemed to stop for a moment. The wind picked up a bit and the Phoenix chirped.
Equinox quickly hopped on the dragon & ran up its neck, & stabbed through its skull & twisted her curved blade
The bird screeched and a blue aura surrounded it, and it started to snow. The dragon, starting to die, started being encased in ice, starting at it's feet.
The snow put out the fire, and the dragon howled in numbing pain as its neck froze, the ice climbing slowly onto its jaw. "Th-that is... Amazing..." The bird flew over to the two of them and chirped quietly, moving it's beak down to its wing. Scale looked around at the now snowy landscape before them. The bird looked with him, and seemed to cry out. "This is... Serious destruction..."
"My powers amplified it a bit... But yea... This is something special." The bird chirped unhappily. "You don't want to be causing so much damage do you?" The Phoenix looked at him with its glittering eyes.
Equinox stabbed the frozen dragon in the head a few more times, then made a fire less heat source to thaw the dragon
Scale watched Equinox work and turned to the bird. "I have a problem with magic chaos too. Whaddya say we help each other out?" The Phoenix tilted its head. "You don't know what I'm saying. Am I mad?" The bird flew onto Scale's back and rubbed its head on his neck. "Equinox. I think we got a new pet!"
"They're omnivores...", equinox says, then tossed a chunk of dragon meat at it, which it catches in its mouth
"Oh. Alright then." The Phoenix swallowed the meat in one gulp. "Right then... We gonna name this guy?" Scale grabs a bag from the cart and brings it over to Equinox. "All perishable parts, in here."
"What's the heart for? Who'd want that?" Scale's sentence was ended by a chirp from the Phoenix. "I'm going to name you Chirpy if you keep doin that." He laughed.
Equinox chuckled, then replied,"some ponies think you'll get it's strength for eating its heart, others just want to have a dragon heart to brag & other stuff like that..."
"My goodness... That's disturbing. I certainly hope a sweet little thing like you doesn't know anyone that does that..."
