"What, and leave it alone like that? Nah, I think I'll manage." Scale smirks and nods in the direction of the mountain. "Ready when you are?"
"Cheater!" Scale yells up before taking off after her, keeping a steady distance behind her. He eventually jumps and lands a couple feet behind her. "All... About... The hind legs." He smiles despite his paced breathing.
Equinox hears the cannon go off behind her. Scale flies past her, sticking his tongue out. "You said no magic. Nothing about explosives!" He lands with a roll before he starts running again, slightly in front of her.
"Almost ready to... Give up?" Scale yells behind him, as he stays a few feet in front of Equinox, matching her speed.
"Hey! No need to throw things, we can both be adults here, can't we!" Scale moves to his side so he's directly in front of Equinox.
"Ow! Hey! Grrr... Puedes dejar niƱa!" Scale yells in a foreign language, before speeding up to his limits and catching up with her.
"It was a distraction." Scale passes in front of Equinox, and a large exposed root is right in front of her.
"You're almost adorable when you trip up." Scale laughs and looks back at Equinox, not noticing his closeness to the wall of stone that was that side of the mountain.
Scale jumps slightly and turns himself so he's facing Equinox, causing him to skid to a stop. "Ladies first."
"That was quite the work-out. You're stronger than you look." Scale walked a foot behind her. "But you always need to watch out for natural traps, like roots, puddles, and such." He snickers.
"I-I'm not one of th-those fancy p-ponies that th-think it's weird to be st-strong & if I'm not dis-distracted I won't almost f-fall...", equinox replied, then fell onto her side like a rock & lay there,"I-I think I ne-need a short r-rest..."
