"Uh, wow yea, sounds like it." Scale looks up the mountain. "Hmm... Maybe make it a quick one if you want to hunt drakes before sundown. Not that I have a problem with shooting a sleeping dragon."
"In that case, I guess I'll stay on guard duty. Don't want anything hurting that cute little face." Scale smiles at Equinox before turning away and looking into the forest.
Red sparks came from Scale's horn as his magic started a fire in the middle of the small clearing they were in, followed by brown sparks as the ground around it collapsed down to ensure the fire would not spread. "See ya when you wake up."
"Y-you're gonna need sleep too, you can't just stay awake all day...", equinox said, her panting stopping
"Don't worry about that. I've done worse. We can set up an actual shelter next time and I can sleep then."
A few minutes later Scale stood up quietly and walked over to Equinox. He looked down at her and smiled. He turned again and walked over to the fire, sitting in front of it. "Poor princess. Must be worried sick about Equinox. No problem, she'll be safe." He looked over his shoulder at her. "And not just for the princess..."
"Heh, morning. Slept right through the night, so I don't get to see your other set of powers yet. Dang." He laughs slightly. "So, you need breakfast before we head up?"
"Nah, a deer came through here while you were asleep." Scale points at a small pile covered by a blanket. "He was nice enough to give me a share of his supplies." (I didn't kill him, what kind of monster do you take me for?)
"Some food, and a couple bits he found. Said he didn't need em so... Also some herbal tea leaves... But I don't trust those."
"Well, you know how deer are... Anyway, back on track. We have drakes to murder, yes?" Scale smiles and turns to the mountain.
