Dammit I want a pony dream, why have I not had one, am I not crazy enough, do I not have enough pony in my life?
jaja calm down Setzertrancer, sure someday we gonna have our pony dream, because: well, I think you are right jett blazewing, In a dream you are in the story and all its feel so real, I know it because there are like 2 or 3 dreams, in all my life, that I remember, too bad that dont involves ponies T_T XD
Huh, had another dream last night but it was too fuzzy. All I know is that it included a three-on-three gang war, a dark road, a crash, a van customized to look like Rainbow Dash, and Peter Molyneux. (I swear I don't do drugs)
Another dream involved the medic. Chasing me. Rainbow dash saving me. And for some reason pinkie the pyro was running around spewing flames everywhere. One clopped up machinima turned pony dream gone wrong
Well, dreams are very influenced by what you do and think about most in the conscious world of course. So if you think about ponies enough, you're probably bound to have one eventually. Though if you don't remember many of your dreams, then you might have one and not realize it. They also say you have many dreams each night, several at least, most of which you probably won't even remember. The brain is like a real big powerful, though somewhat flaky hard drive. lol And since it's basically the computer of our bodies, dreams can feel VERY real. It's like the ultimate home entertainment system. The only thing that can beat it for realism is reality obviously. lol I think I may have had one pony dream thus far, at least one that I remember. Could have had more that I just don't remember at all. I can't even recall what happened in that one however. I just vaguely remember a dream with ponies in it not too long ago. I have some dreams that I remember well and have been having since I was little. And some that disappear like that. But that's how dreams work. And I have lucid dreams once in a while. Though my lucid dreams scare me. I have a tendency to freak out and realize I'm dreaming. I then proceed to try and wake myself up. Kicking and screaming in the dream, and actually feeling my body just lay motionless in the conscious world. It's surreal and quite scarey. But nah, you're not crazy. Just means you've got ponies on the brain. Diagnosis: Ponies on the brain. Treatment: Watch even more pony!
It doesn't help >_<. Pains aren't supposed to feel real in dreams. And yeah I find out it's a dream or thing it's a dream and I try waking up but it doesn't work no matter how hard I try. So I have to go through with it. I'm having my body pierced by needles thrown at me and I'm bashin someone over the head with a metal rod. I can actually feel the wait. The needs sticking to me. The force of the blow hiding the body repeatedly this is too dark for me. Way to dark but I saved my loved ones which mattered. But I look like a killer and maniac.
well, as Derpy Hooves said, the brain is powerfull, and make the influence in everything we do, maybe your brain focus in the dream too much so why is you feel like is real, XD sounds like a diagnostic but really I dont know anything about medicine (even I like see Doctor House XD)
Wait a minute, are you suggesting that someone has to be crazy to have a pony dream? *Ahem* [Fluttershy]How dare you! Listen here, mister![/Fluttershy] Just because I had a pony dream or two does NOT mean I'm cra- HA HA! Okay, maybe I'm just a wee bit crazy, but that was before MLP:FIM anyway. It's totally unrelated. Not mine! Well, not all the time, at least. I've had several dreams of things that I do not think about when I'm awake. Some that I'm even scared to wonder how my mind conjured them up! I've come to the conclusion that my mind is extraordinarily random. It just takes bits of things and mashes it together and voilà ! Dream! I've had lucid dreams before. I actually like it when I'm aware that I'm dreaming, because then I feel invincible. I remember on two occasions how I tried to get out of a lucid dream. Once, I just thought to myself, "Hey! You're dreaming! You have to wake up! GET UP!!!" and then I woke up. Another time, I knew I was dreaming, but that previous method didn't work. I was actually aware of the fact that I tried it before. So I jumped out a window of a tall building in my dream, but when I hit the ground I just felt a thud and walked away thinking, "WTF? That didn't work?!" However, shortly after I actually did wake up. Oh, by the way, if you're wondering how I found out I was dreaming, usually I try the "pinch test." You know, I try pinching myself real hard in the dream, but once I realize I feel no pain, I know I'm sleeping. When you say laying motionless in the conscious world, are you talking about sleep paralysis? For some strange reason, I experience that sometimes. I guess I just wake up before my body does. The first time it happened, I was scared to death because I knew what was going on around me, but I couldn't move for a few seconds. However, subsequent occurrences don't scare me because I know what it is and I know within a few seconds I'll feel a jolt and I can move again. As far as pony dreams go, my brain came up empty-handed... er... hooved last night. I didn't dream at all. Wait a second. My brain has hooves? I better get that checked out. That can't be normal.
Wow, sounds like you can control your dreams eponymous, jaja, many of the dreams I know one cant control it, well referring to the mines, their just follow a strange sequence and always I woke up before the dream end, so never know what happen after XD.
Dream control is simple. It's making the dream a problem. Because once you gain control you could easily lose it.
Well, I had two brony-related dreams last night, if that counts. Dream #1: All I remember is I was taking a bus someplace, and was let off at a parking lot. While walking through the parking lot (assuming I was looking for my car), I started hearing some music. It was difficult to hear at first, but then I recognized it was one of Pinkie Pie's songs from the show. Unfortunately, that's all I remember about the song, is that it wasn't a remix. There was a crowd of people dancing to the song and another crowd surrounding them in a circle that was just watching. As I walked up, I said, "Oh my gosh, is that Pinkie Pie singing?!" and the people in the non-dancing crowd just looked at me. That's all that was. Dream #2: Another brief one. I believe I was inside one of my previous schools (either high school or middle school) for some kind of a get-together. Food and dessert were being served buffet style. I had already gotten my food and went to the dessert table and there was a guy there with a radio playing. As I was choosing, I heard Pinkie's Lie come on the radio so I asked the guy, "Just out of curiosity, what radio station is that?" He said it wasn't a radio station, but his own music he had on him. So I said, "Oh, does that mean you're a, well, you know, a..." (I wanted to say "brony," but for some reason I couldn't) and he said something along the lines of, "Well, are you?" and before I could say yes, there was a line of people behind me, so I just said, "Oh, I guess I better go, the line's getting long." Then it ended.
Zephyr, that is a pretty good observation there. I didn't even think of that. I don't know why my dreams tend to have Pinkie Pie music. Oh no. Do you think she's invaded my mind?! Seriously though, the only time I typically listen to them is when they happen to be on EPR. I usually listen in for several hours daily. As a matter of fact, I'm listening to EPR as I'm typing this post. Maybe it's because the Pinkie songs are some of my favorites? I wonder if the next pony-dream I have will have more Pinkie music... Only time will tell.
Pinkie Pie's songs usually are the catchiest. Maybe you have an earworm that has dug into your very subconscious, making you dream the songs....hmmmm
Ugh, I wish I could remember a dream with ponies or bronies, implying i actually have had any. None of my dreams have even indistinguishable hints towards anything pony. Am I losing the herd mind? Will I stop being one with the pony fandom? I'm scared sh*tless thinking about that.
Pfft, dreams. I rarely have dreams. Even if science says you always dream. Science is wrong. Haven't had dreams even slightly related to ponies yet. Guess I'll let you guys know if that happens.:derpe:
I have to admit having a few distracted pony dreams, consisting simply of Applejack introducing herself. She's about to show me around Ponyville in the dream, but I never get to that part. The weird thing is I remember that. I never remember *anything* about my dreams, so remembering even this much is unusual.
Well, the mane six made a cameo-appearance in a dream I had last night, but that's all. I was in a supermarket shopping for things, but for some reason in the store they had a display of playing cards with the mane six on them. All I remember is when I saw that, I was in a trance for a moment and then I said, "Oh my gosh! Why don't I have the courage to buy these?!" The rest of the dream, although I do remember it, was unrelated. @Dawn Runner: I wouldn't worry about that. Maybe dreaming of ponies just isn't something that happens to you (yet). As others have mentioned, some can easily remember some of their dreams (such as myself) and others just can't. Nah, you're not losing the herd mind. Once you're assimilated, you are a part of it... FOREVERRRRR! @Rapi Dash: Science is always right! ALWAYS! Well, okay, not really. There have been many theories in many fields of science proven wrong and/or updated and all that. I won't digress into a science discussion, but I don't dream all the time either. If you do have a pony or brony dream, by all means, do tell us. I can only speak for myself, but I'm very interested in reading what pony-related material our minds come up with while we sleep. @sparkleshyguy85: You normally never remember anything about your dreams, but suddenly a confrontation with Applejack is in your memory? Hmmm... Yeah, the ponies are invading our minds too. I knew it! Confound these ponies! They drive us to dream... of ponies! Wait, that's not a bad thing at all actually.
@sparkleshyguy85: we're in the same boat, you and I. Never remembering a dream until ponies come along....great, isn't it?
I'm hoping to "see" what I look like in the dream, whether I'm ponified. I suspect I am in the dream, because I never get any "and what in equestria are you?" or anything. As you can see I don't have an avatar yet, I'm just trying to imagine a ponified me. You're not wrong, this one's gotten into my mind somewhat. I've always liked cartoons, but I don't think any have gotten to me quite this much. Heck, I'm even at the point of contemplating fanfic - something I've never even dreamed of doing until I came across the ponyfolk.
