The colossus stomped ever closer to Ambaince and Eight Star. Her lip quivered slightly as she wished dearly that Grim Jaw was standing with her right now. The minotaur would at least be able to hold him back. Her eyes became misty as she placed herself once again in front of the giant. "Last warning, Templar. Stand down..."
Dark Shine dives back, feeking the hoof rush past him. He had to get out of there. Now. The trees! Aha! Nopony knew these tree's like him! Other than the other things that lived here. He continued his dive, attempting to reach for a branch behind him, coming short. He continued using the momentum to use his forehooves to get back on all fours. He would now be safer from incoming attacks.
As Eight Star heard the vocal threats behind him he stopped and turned. "Something about this day feels... off center." Like he had woken up in a whole different world. He was reminded by the crystal of the path he chose, and he narrowed his eyes as they filled with a cyan energy. He bowed his head and pointed his horn at Ambiance, suffering a drain of power as he poured his energy into protection. The colorful glow washed over her fur, making it coarse like steel, and although her skin felt tougher, she felt no less mobile. "I'll stand no loss of you."
Titus looked as he was charging the Chaos Sorcerer had given the cultist filly armor to protect "More Sorcery!" Titus yelled and he ran even faster "System repair!" Titus thought and suddenly the flame thrower and mini gun was gone for repairs and the flamethrower was replaced with another fist "Just have to hold the vile pony until my weapons are repaired for use," Titus thought.
Two flames splash across Titus' hull. The flames make nothing more than burn marks on the metal but the point was to get attention. They were more like flares, except fired at something rather than in the air. Tyro bounds past Titus with a lot of effort, panting heavily as he staggers next to Ambience. He's not paying any attention to her magical second skin. He had to try and stop something around the size and weight of a manticore. There was only one thing he could think of. He draws in a large breath through his nose, filling his lungs completely. Once Titus was almost directly in range, he blows hard, creating a large blame. Maybe Titus would think twice about a flame thrower being thrown at him. "He's over here!" The pink pegasus shouts over his shoulder. He smiles as he sees another fedora appear just off in the distance. With back-up bringing up the rear, he rushes after Dark Shine into the trees. "Not a fighter, huh? Trees ain't gonna save yer from what I'll do to ya when I find you."
Dark Shine clambered up into the nearby tree, before leaping from branch to branch, heading off to the side, heading away from the Fedora ponies. If need be, he could always just knock one of them into the Poison joke, but even then, there were more. Maybe fleeing is not the best. Maybe he could find protection? No. That was silly. Why would anypony want to protect him? What has he done to save somepony else? He just had to keep running.
Titus was charging again at the filly until he was stopped by Tyro this time the system had told him that the attack did nothing major to his system only burn marks he looked at the three and suddenly a large flame hit him creating no damage but it was much stronger than the last fire move Tyro had done. He looked at the Filly with the armor and at her eyes “I can't fight all three," Titus thought and suddenly he had thought of something the filly had called him something “Why would the filly say Templar, I have seen no civilian call me that” after the thought the Dreadnought became less tense.
Titus had come to a halt. Tyro could feel his heart stop for a second, perhaps a slight whimper as well. "All right...Was that me or you?" Tyro asks Ambiance, voice trembling slightly. He needed to get this guy on side. This was a death machine. A metal warrior that is able to snap most of them in half if it could get a claw on them. This thing'll flatten everything if he doesn't get it under control. Think...It's clearly fallen from somewhere. Empress Goddesses and extraterrestrial death-bots....Errr... "Titus! We're not here to kill you! None of us are! Relax!" he shouts as loud as he can, frantically trying to come up with a reasonable deal within two nano-seconds of preparation. The ponies in fedoras come to the edge of the forest and stop. "So, he went in here?" The grey pony asks, clearly the leader. "That's right boss." The pink pegasus answers. The leader sighs, shaking his head. "New plan. Get the barrels, her never existed, understood? If he comes back, he'll know not to play games next time." On the leader's words, they file back towards town. "Look! Your a long way from home and along way from your beloved Empress, right? How about you help me out and I promise, I'll see what I can do about sending you home, OK? How does that sound?" Tyro tries, pre-emptively wincing. A small explosion just out of sight, but definitely loud enough to be heard from over here, distracts from the careful and possibly terminal transaction at place.
Titus was still in deep thought but Tyro had said Goddess Empresses and that made him listen “I must get back to my Empresses for me to fight once again for her,” Titus thought. He looked at Tyro, the filly, and the Sorcerer his arm slowly creaked and he clearly pointed at Eight Star and drew the symbol of his long enemy, an eight pointed star, in the dirt. When he finished the drawing a large explosion was heard in the nearby forest “What was that?” Titus said turning the Dreadnought into the direction of the explosion.
Dark Shine heard the explosion. "Oh snap!" He said. He had a bad feeling he knew who caused the explosion. He let his ears point the direction the explosion came from, and leapt the other direction, now keeping his ears open for anything, as he fled away from the explosion noise.
He paused at the sound of the explosion, and his ears swiveled towards the forest. He narrowed his eyes, and turned to face the direction of the blast. His eyes dialated and he growled. "This is getting tedious, annoying, angering, and all together dangerous! WHY are so many events occurring today? Just today we've had more bad things happen than in the past month... and Twilight Sparkle lives here!" He snaps a hoof out to each fox in succession. "If these events are not somehow linked, I'm going to have an explosive fit about it!" It was like he was in one of those bad stories where the world just falls apart all at once, and there's no calculatable reason why all the events occur on the same evening. Yup... just like one of those. Since the large metal golem machine thingy seemed temporarily non-aggressive, Eight Star used his magic to teleport himself to the other side of the beast where he could canter through town towards the blast. After all... it had to be something interesting. Maybe he could discern something from it which would put all of these things into one particular catagory other than "random bad stuff."
When the titan finally stopped and showed some signs of temerance, Ambiance let out a sign of relief. Even with her enchantment, she wasn't sure if she'd be able to take in the dreadnaught by herself, even with the Keyblade. "Thank you, Sir Fox. And you as well, Archmage." When the explosion rocked the town, she drew back slightly. "What was that?" "This is getting tedious, annoying, angering, and all together dangerous! WHY are so many events occurring today? Just today we've had more bad things happen than in the past month... and Twilight Sparkle lives here!" He snaps a hoof out to each fox in succession. "If these events are not somehow linked, I'm going to have an explosive fit about it!" Ambiance nodded, though she didn't quite agree with the sorcerer's first three points. She did agree that this situation was getting dangerous. She turned back toward the robotic giant. "I am likewise displaced from my world, Templar. I know the pain you must be feeling now, being so far from your Empress. If we can assist one another, perhaps we can find our respective ways home. That is...if we can work together. Let us find the source of this explosion."
"Good plan." Tyro said, bounding off after Eight Star. He calls over his shoulder to Ambience: "I'd put that away. Nothings coming after your heart just yet." The fox gathers speed, rushing forwards to match Eight Star's pace. "I wouldn't be surprised if you were right. Knowing my luck there'll be a tiger with a laser cannon strapped to it's back soon." He looks behind him to The flames lick high, bursting from the already shattered windows like flags caught in a heavy wind. Ponies threw buckets on the blaze but it seemed to be doing nothing while the graphite grey smog billows upwards into the air with the voraciousness of a steam train at full speed. The crackle was deafening while timbers creak and crumble into the bright glow. Pegasi above the roof were moving rain clouds into position for a localised, downward pour. Dark Shine's town home was slowly being consumed by the flames.
Dark Shine stopped. He peered out of the top of the tree's and looked around. Then, his eyes lay sight upon the location of his Ponyville house. Fire. Smoke. And it was spreading. He couldn't just let it burn. He had to stop it. He immediatly turned around and headed towards Ponyville. He had a plan. A plan which would probably leave him helpless. but still a plan. He doubled his pace, dashing towards there before coming down from the tree's and continuing faster. He then flipped open the bottom half of the amulet. Black Aura seathed around Dark Shine before closing into his eyes and body. His wings, including the damaged one, stretched and his eyes turned a pure black. He looks forward, before dashing at high speeds, back home. Within a few minutes he was home. Or, what was left. He rushed into the the sky and snagged a few clouds, before kicking them, causing rain to gush out. He moved it over the largest of the fires, waiting for it to be put out.
As he arrived on the scene, he growled and pounded his hoof into the dirt. "Blast. If I had brought my orb of post-cognition, I could find out who did this... but knowing to bring it would've required I still had my gem of precognition." He sighs and watches the ponies work, figuring the pegasai have this. He muttered something and looked around. Not like Ponyville wasn't inhabited by experts at rebuilding and bouncing back. He was more concerned with finishing his day's transactions with the market... and so, like a teenager who has lost his attention, he wandered off towards the central location of marketing goods.
Rain suddenly pours before the weather patrol can do anything about it. There is a reassuring hiss as the water drenches a portion of the flames through a collapsed hole in the roof. Even so, flames still continued their fevered consumption of Dark Shine's home where the rainwater wasn't flowing too. The downstairs was still energetic and unchanged. A few of the pegasi were backing off. A few of the assembled crowd were letting off gasps as they looked up at the new arrival. Tyro follows their lines of sight as he arrived at the blaze, managing to spot the shadow pony, floating around the rain-clouds. As if he was covered in tar from head to hoof, the pegasus was attracting a lot of attention while he, she or it attempted to fight the blaze. He looks to Eight Star: "Hang on a sec. How about you tell me who or what that is up there?" Tyro points a paw at the pegasus. "I'm gonna bet it's not local either."
Satisfied with the hiss of water on fire, Dark Shine left the current cloud there and wizzed off to get another. He came back a few seconds later with a slightly bigger one, placing it to the next biggest fire, before zipping through it, catching water in his speed as well as casuing rain. He took the water caught in his speed into the lower levels of the house, before turning quickly, splashing it over the lower levels of the house. He flew out once again to keep an eye out on the progress of the rain, also looking for more fires to put out.
Ambiance's eyes followed everyone else's toward the jet black pegasus. Almost instantly, her body started shaking with fury. She knew that if there was one, there would be thousands more. She had to kill this thing before it brought the rest of the black demon horde. "Black Demon! You and your ilk may have taken my world, but you will NOT TAKE THIS ONE!" Not even awaiting any kind of response, Ambiance's Keyblade appeared in her mouth, and she leapt forward and attempted to reach the black pegasus by climbing the burnt shell of the house, taking no care to her own life or limb.
Dark Shine saw this new issue. Demon? How am I... Oh yeah... The whole covered in black thing... Um... He couldn't think. He ignored the incoming attack and just continued to put out the fires.
As soon as Ambiance declares her intentions like a knight about to win a damsel's hand, everything gums for a second. As soon as the flash of light starts to race forwards, his eyes widen, his pupils contract, his ears dive for cover and all of his muscles take a moment to recover. "Black demon...Oooohh no, no, no, no..." Tyro streaks forwards towards the house. Smoke was now billowing from the wreck, pooling in the sky then floating off over the rooftops. "No! No, that's not gonna hurt anypony! Put the keyblade away!" the fox cries breathlessly at the top of his lungs as he bounds forwards.
