    In his avatar, it seems to me like he's ripping his way through the 4th wall.

    In the Game Night pic, all our OCs have been put into a trance using some reality-mimicking orbs or something. That's Dark in his trance with Eight Star looking like a stereotypical antagonist next to him.

    Technically Eight Star is taking a small portion of his soul. Everyone's soul has been sort of transferred to their characters, who exist in an alternate reality sort of thing. In TwV, souls are sort of like the batteries of life, but they come back over time, (but if you lose your whole soul, your life force shatters and you die. Blah, blah, blah.)

    Eight Star only ever takes a portion of a soul, and as long as he owns a little bit, he can communicate with others telepathically by using their soul connection. He's a good guy technically, but he has to do some bad guy like things to keep things going. So he's been driven quite mad. ^_^
