Both. I'm really not a big fan of pink and they just kept re-releasing her (see?) and she was in every group of pony merch they released. It was really annoying. Plus, the G3 movies are just awful. I think Pinkie Pie's voice was particularly obnoxious.

Although the "order" of my most favorite to least favorite character didn't really seem to change much at all, I found the gaps between them shrink significantly. For example, Rainbow Dash was my favorite throughout and still is, but I started to feel she was liked a bit too much by the writers by the end of it. Rarity is my least favorite in the series, but by far made me laugh the most with her part in the Diamond Dog episode. She also became a relateable character in the dressmaking episode.
Nononono, This poll needs more Pinkie Pie. I mean, c'mon? who wouldn't love a hyperactive, 4th wall breaking Pink Pony? ....Well, let's not mention Cupcakes, now. Though I'll be honest, Rainbow Dash was my favorite until Feeling Pinkie keen. Then Pinkie Pie became the awesome one.
Yes, Pinkie has a special charming way in her. I liked her more, even though loud and cheerful characters are not my cup of tea. Yet I can't help but find rather disturbing how guys think she's smexy. I can't find anything smexy in ponies xP
I have to say I still love Fluttershy, even after "Best Night Ever". The way I see that episode is a way for the writers to show that things don't always go as you'd expect, both from the point of view of the ponies not getting their wishes, and from the point of view from the audience with Fluttershy going ballistic. I think Fluttershy was the only one they could have pulled something so out of character like that with, they already kinda did that with Pinkie Pie in another episode. Everyone pretty much held their places for me, however I do have to say Rarity surprised me. Just seeing that she wasn't this prissy snobby pony that her appearance led you to believe. She was generous, not only wanting to gift her friends dresses for the gala, but also willing to set aside what she thought would be perfect (and rightly so) to make them what they wanted, even if what they wanted looked horrible. That's a big self sacrifice there, and that's mondo respect points there. Apple Jack started out pretty high, but she kinda slipped down past Rainbow Dash. She didn't grow too much more than being more willing to ask for help. I thought she might have lots of potential, she still does, but not this season. Hopefully we can see more growth from her next season. Overall though, she seems the most stable of the group. Rainbow Dash moved up a bit. She always looked like the character that could make some of the best on topic comments and she didn't disappoint. Who has the most memes? It would appear just from what I usually see most that Rainbow Dash has them. She's just a fun pony to listen to. She's also far from perfect, her competitive level is over 9000 and she let's that get the best of her. But when she get's down to it she shines making her boasting justified. This part of the old list was hard. The last three (Twilight, Pinkie, and Rarity) were just kinda on the same level. Eventually Twilight jumped up a bit, she does the most growing out of all the ponies but other than that nothing much changed for me with her. She's just... Twilight Sparkle. Unfortunately this is where I see the character staying, she learns allot, but at the same time it's not really character growth, just lesson of the day. Pinkie is... Pinkie. At first she seemed kinda cute, but way too bouncy for me. Not saying she is bad or anything, I still like the character, but after a while she just kinda loses the charm and it turns into "lulz, Pinkie, now go away so I can see how Fluttershy reacts to being called a tree by Dash."
In the beginning, Rainbow Dash was my favorite, despite my not wanting her to be. She's so flashy and awesome, that she's almost too much so for me, to the point where she steals your attention. I wanted to find the details in the other characters that would lead me to liking them more, but Dash was always right there in front of you, being 20% cooler than everypony else. After finishing the series, I had to think about it for awhile, but eventually I decided that Applejack is my new favorite character. Her down to earth way of thinking is something I can easily relate to, and I like that she seems to be a stable and easy to understand pony. Rainbow Dash is still second favorite for me, followed by Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy. Rarity never really caught my eye for some reason, and I'm still not sure why. As for Twilight, it's not that I dislike her character, more that I sometimes see her as being too well balanced. She seems like the typical main character to me, and I always seem to stray away from them when it comes to picking favorites.
Praise Rarity she is easily the best character hands down out of the mane 6 but i love the supporting characters you only see once like Luna, Blueblood, and Zecora especially (she speaks in rhyme how cool is that!) but yeah Zecora is awesome
I would vote Fluttershy, but the Flutterrage meme just sickens me. If her rage is gone now, she'll be my favourite again. But for now, Rainbow dash is looking a bit better.
I don't actually have a favourite. I used to like Fluttershy the most, then Rainbow Dash, but then I realised that they each have their own special qualities, and I wouldn't enjoy the show as much should the cast be incomplete. It's more likely I just can't decide, however.
I gonna say THAT I LOVE ALL OF THE MANE SIX FOR EQUAL¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡, jeje, I think all of they had her moment in the episodes and, They diferent personalities make me love all for equal =)
for me , I like them all, but I voted Fluttershy due to her getting to me after Flutterage and Dragonshy episodes. but everypony has something I like on them specially (and we won't forget Spike too)
