Grey finds the largely trampled trail of vegetation easily, now that six different ponies have walked over it. Following it, she happens upon four of the group pondering what they should do next in a clearing.
Grey Mane snarled at the group. "You Ponies are IMPATIENT! I've worked with your kind. They never use teamwork..." She sent over a glare.
Cloud Kicker flinched at Grey mane's remark, but remained composed. "Nonsense," he replied. "We're working as a team right now. See how we're all considering what do do next?" He flashed a smug smirk. "Teamwork." On the other hoof, we're not any closer to figuring out who those hoodie guys are... He peered deep into the forest, trying to see if he could spot either a hoodie pony, or Nioxen. Or Nioxen in a hoodie. He could be a traitor... Kicker snickered.
Noticing Grey storming up to the group and chiding them, he decides he's starting to get sick of all the bickering. "We mentioned several times, rather loudly, that we were going to look for Nioxen, Winter and Hunt. We've found two of those three already. So it's not exactly our fault if somepony isn't paying attention to us making a plan as a team."
Grey Snarled. She really wanted to kill these two. But, she needed to gain back the trust of Ponyville if she wanted to get her life back. "I am sorry. But I advise you treat me with more respect. I'll follow you, but you wont see me. You have lost whatever trust I had in you..." Grey brung up her horrible memories, sliding into the shadows, she attempts to do her camoflauge spell.
Grimacing at her hypocritical remarks, he replies, "I'm merely treating you with the respect I've been given in kind. To be frank, our group dynamic seems rather lacking since some of us seem to be more prone to anger than others. We need to stop directing anger at each other and focus it on the creatures we're hunting down. Now, let's put aside this petty argument and go find our missing team mate." Lucky calmly turns away and starts following the path Nioxen's haste provided for them.
Spoiler: Camoflauge Spell Lore: 5 Roll: 9 Grey's raging emotions make it impossible to concentrate on casting a spell. However, her natural stealth still assists her as she slinks along in the shadowy forest. Spoiler: Grey Mane luck Luck: 5 Ability: +1 Roll: 10 (Okay, this is apparently now making up for all those rolls that utterly demolished that poor enemy back before Zecora's hut...) Perception: 7 Dark: -2 Ability: +1/ Roll: 2 Grey Mane hears a rustle and softly spoken words to her right. Spoiler: Dodge? Agility: 10 Off the path: -2 Good Perception test: +1 Roll: 2 (Okay, never mind about that previous comment...) Grey leapt backwards as a fireball streaked past her, but it didn't even come close to touching her. It shot about 5 feet behind the rearmost pony in the rest of the group, struck a tree, and set it on fire.
Winter's head snapped to the flaming tree and grinned, Just my element! He thought, and started to use his magic to control the flames on the tree to his advantage. (Possibly a suit of fire armor?)
(Well, you are still just a pony. You aren't immune to fire, you're just resistant to fire, and fire armor would still just be fire; it wouldn't really protect you from a physical blow that well. But you can put it out, or send it back at whatever launched it...)
(I know, I was joking. But if it was kept a cetain distance from him, and what not, ah nevermind, do what you wish with the roll.)
(Well...I just roll really. You can make the choices for your own character. If you want to flash fry Winter, lol. But I was just clarifying...)
(All right!) Spoiler: Winter Lore Lore: 9 Roll: 7 The flame was drawn by Winter's magic, from the tree to where it had come. In the flickering light, ANOTHER cloaked pony could be seen. It started at being revealed, then darted back into the shadows.
Winter gathered the inferno from the tree and prepared to send it at the spot the cloaked pony was seen.
Spoiler: Lore again Lore: 9 Roll: 6 Marksmanship: 2 Roll: 8 Winter flung the fire out into the forest after the cloaked pony. Unfortunately, Winter's aim was off. And also, forests are quite flammable. The fire struck a nearby bush instead, immediately setting it alight. Flames began to spread from that bush to other nearby plants in the dense brush as he watched.
(I really am starting to reconsider that markmanship thing. When I set it, I thought it meant for physical things.)
(Well, you can still use magic. It's just that projectile magic requires marksmanship. If, for example, you cast a healing or camoflauge spell, it would not require marksmanship. But since a fireball or a beam of ice/fire is technically a physical thing, it requires that roll as well. So you probably would be best at close range magic, like touching something with your horn to affect it, for example.)
Hunt saw the light from the fire in the clearing. "There. Light and heat. Something tells me we'll need to find some river soon." He ran to the clearing, to see Winter in the middle of a clearing, traces of fire, and finally, some lighted up trees a little over. "Come on! We're here to find a pony, and all i see here is a dangerous fire spreading quickly. We should really take some time to discuss about our teamworking here. Where's Nioxen?"
"No clue! But maybe I can freeze these flames, or at least cool them!" Winter yelled over the roar of the flames, horn vitually turning into ice and coolong the surrounding area. Winter began walking towards the flames. (Roll required for flame put-out?)
"Alright, he's been out for too long. I'll find him, but it's the first and last time i'll do it." Hunt sat where he was, and took a deep breath. He focused, remaining like a statue for a few minutes, before simply stand up and say, "He's out there. I'll go take it. You take care of the flames, and of the two others. We meet at Zecora's hut, then re-build the group out there." (Roll for luck and... Witchcraft...)
