Nioxen sat for a few minutes thinking of the group before eating some grass, then he got up and walked in the direction of zecoras hut (following trample marks.)
At half of Nioxen's road, Hunt saw a shadow coming by. He took his rifle, installed his lens, and looked through it. He saw Nioxen. 'Finally!' He ran to him. "Why have you went away, alone, when it's dangerous? Don't you know what we're after? Now, let's go to Zecora's hut. Next time, don't get to far from the group."
Spoiler: Putting out Fire Lore: 9 Roll 1: 4 Roll 2: 3 Winter's horn glowed, and all of the fire around him gathered at the tip of his horn, coming off from the plants. Glowing brighter still, he extinguished the fire and there was a hiss as smoke and steam rose from where the fire had once been. (That takes care of all the fire, it hadn't spread that far yet) Spoiler: Winter's Perception Perception: 3 Dim: -1 Roll: 1 From the corner of his eye, he saw the cloaked pony step from the shadows, horn glowing with a spell ready. Spoiler: Nioxen and Hunt Luck Luck: 9 Roll: 6 Luck: 4 Roll: 10 Hunt and Nioxen heard a roar from about 50 meters away, coming from the direction opposite Zecora's hut.
"Agh! What was that roar!?" Nioxen said suddenly and quite loudly "I think it came from over there" (points towards the way he had come) Nioxen was getting uneasy.
Winter smiled slightly, "Well, its kinda my special talent to control fire and ice, so its not that hard for me. But I don't know about teaching it to another."
Grey Mane began looking around. Did somepony ATTACK HER?! She darted her eyes around, her horn glowing, ready to attack with all her anger.
As Hunt said this, what appeared to be a monster at first glance emerged from the forest into the clearing they were in. It was about pony-sized, and was moving fairly slowly. After an instant, the group realized that it was a pony. It had no cloak of any sort, and was shuffling along with blood covering most of its forehooves, front legs, neck, and head; its throat seemed to have been slit. It sort of moaned as its vacant eyes turned toward them, and then it made the same ear-shattering, unponylike roar they had heard earlier. Two other answering roars were heard far in the distance. It began to trudge towards Winter, and returned to moaning incessantly.
Winter's horn became cold as ice and snowflakes began falling off it, "Bring it on zombie-thingy!" he said as he brought his horn to bear.
In a flash, Hunt's rifle was loaded and aiming at the other sources of zombie-like screams further in the forest. (Roll+1 w/ my lens, remember!)
"What the?" Nioxen was worried and confused, he had no weapons to defend himself against that... Monster. "SHOOT IT!" Yelled Nioxen "SHOOT IT NOW!"
(The other zombies haven't come into view yet, they are still hidden by the forest.) Spoiler: Winter's Attack Lore: 9 Roll: 6 Winter's horn flashed, and the Zombie-pony's front left hoof was frozen. However, it didn't even seem to notice, and kept trudging toward him.
Hunter shot the zombie twice, right between the eyes, then one in the heart. His bullets exploded a few seconds after they had pierced the rotten flesh.
The Zombie staggered, but continued doggedly after Snow, with two gaping holes left in its body. Spoiler: Willpower checks all, for horrible sight Hunt: 8 (Fail) Winter: 9 (Fail) Nioxen: 4 (Pass) Hunt and Winter lose one mental health.
"How does that horrible thing can still run? It has no brain or heart, and continues to rush like that?" Hunt exclaimed, reloading his rifle, then shooting the 'knees' of the zombie-pony. (When i shoot twice, do you roll two times?)
Nioxen charges his horn attempting to use telekinesis to lift the "pony" high in the air then slam it into the floor "Die you messed up zombie pony monster thing!" Yelled Nioxen
Grey Mane calmed down a bit, and decided to aid her team. Instead of speaking, she aimed a spell towards the head of the zombie.
