Saul came back and saw Cal, holding the weapons. "Good choice. This katana is imbued with a demon's soul. It simply eats your opponent's soul too, and buffs the katana with demonic power. And that bow is enchanted to fire rapidly, so it fastens the arrows."
(I like to be able to push things along if they get boring as well) Name: Dark Light Occupation: Freelance hunter-soldier breed/gender: pegasus/female special talent: very strong for a pegasus, while remaining nimble cutie mark: a white question mark Appearance: pitch black coat, fire red eyes and mane (Now for the acual post) Dark burst through the door, wearing her usual hunting gear, "Is it to late to join this party?" she asked excitedly, hunting was one of her favorite passtimes. She walked passed the weapons rack and took out her own weapons, a rifle, a crossbow, and a large knife, and began cleaning them excitedly for the expidition.
Hi Dark. It's always nice to see somepony like you, wo doesn't fear and comes well equipped. And, as you can see, we're almost ready to go. Do you want me to put magic in your weapons, or something like that?" Saul approached, the saw that no one had yet signed the sheets. "Anyway, screw this. We'll be fine without anyone to sign. They know what they're getting into. Do you have anything special i have to know about your talents or anything?"
"I am strong for a pegasus, I once buck down a tree in only one try, and yet I can still turn on a dime while flying at speed. And if you would, I only request one certain enchantment, that what ever I aim at is always killed, and my knife always safely returns after being thrown." Dark said.
"Nothing special," said Silver. "My talent is fairly simple; I am better than most unicorns at defensive magic, particularly force fields. Of course, I can 'shoot to kill', in a sense, if I want to, but I prefer to stick on the defensive, which is my specialty anyways."
Jhera's boredom nearly overtook him. "That's great you guys!" he said with obvious sarcasm. "Please, go on while I go jump off a bridge! Why are you so obsessed with your magical weapons and voodoo? If anything, you aren't the best until you can perform tasks empty-hooved. Try it, you might like it more than you think."
"Perfect. I will perform your enchant soon, Dark, and you, legion, if you could help us by making force fields in battles, it could be a good idea. Also, Jhera, i promise we will leave soon; i understand your haste. Please, be patient. Dark, come with me." Saul walked to the stairs, and went on the second floor.
Silver looked affronted. "Excuse me," he said indignantly, "but I would appreciate it if you would refrain from referring to my magical abilities as 'voodoo'. I, for one, am rather attached to magic. You know, literally." He gestured to his horn and cutie mark. "Without magic, I would be a blank flank, and a particularly scrawny, wimpy one at that. The only thing I could use my horn for would be clumsy stabbing. So, in short, magic is a part of me, and your insulting display of indifference toward it is...well, insulting!" Silver glared at Jhera for a few more seconds, and then looked down. "I'm sorry. We shouldn't start off on the wrong foot. It's just that my magic is pretty important to me, and I'd be mostly useless without it. That's why I'm making this," he said, motioning to the funny contraption that lay at his hooves. "I hope that someday, everypony will be able to protect themselves from harm, even those who aren't...you know, very strong." He gestured to himself as an example.
That's a very noble cause, Silver. And i swear i'll do my best to help you with that. I don't know a lot in electronics, but the old ruins may content some gemstones imbued with some powers who could give charge to your devices. And, after all, aren't we making this expedition to kill the beast who could, someday, attack surrounding cities? Jhera, please don't be too... Impatient, with the others. Alltought, i don't want to make discipline between unfriendly ponies. May everyone be kind with each other; they will be your brothers for the next month, maybe two months. The ruins may be far, more far then i think: and i won't be able to teleport us to it's location, because i don't know where it is. Now, i think everyone will agree when i say this: We'll be off in 15 minutes. Get ready, adjust your saddlebags and belts, and may everypony join in front of the forest entrance; i have somepony i have to talk with before you go. Please excuse me..." Saul went, again, upstairs. He seemed disappointed, but in control of his emotions. That trip sure was a lot of planning and calculatings: he wanted to be sure he wasn't wrong by choosing some routes and locations for camps.
"Good to know Comrade but by any chance can the demonic power somehow escape the blade and transfer into the user of it but even if it can im keeping it seems like something i would need to have besides just this combat knife that im only using if i have nothing else to use"
Saul came back, with a dark leather cape, torn appart, and a black leather saddlebag. He was magically controlling a scythe, wich he tryed to attach on his saddlebag's leather cords. After everything packed, he went to call. "I could sure make that Demon spirit pass into your knife, if you prefer. Or summon another; so both the knife and katana will leech souls. But beware; if you cut yourself, hurry to tell me, so i can heal you." Saul took the knife, and his horn glowed. Darkness pulsed out off the ground, and surrounded the knifes's blade. Then, blood-like liquid found his way off the ground to lurk inside the blade. His horn stopped glowing. "There. I guess nothing could resist your SoulEating blades, now. If you'll excuse me, Dark needs an enchant on his knife too." Saul went to Dark. "Hey, ready to get your knife scealed with magic?"
"Let's get this over with, remember, I like to have the knowledge that I killed it myself, not some enchantment." She said.
"I'm only gonna bind this knife to you, so whern you throw it, it'll appear right in your hoof. Be careful; as soon it'll touch a target, or the ground, tree, anything, it'll appear in your hoof. So watch where you put that hoof: if you pat someone's back after you threw it, it may be dangerous." Saul focused on the knife. A bright green light linked Dark and the knife, for a few seconds. Then, the light disappeared like it appeared; suddenly and brightly. "There, it's done. I need to rest a little bit before doing some magic again. Maybe it's the stress, dunno." *When you look at the knife, you can see, on the handle, your cutie mark.*
"hmmmm.... well this makes me feel more safe well thanks Saul you seem to know your way with magic and weapon binding well if you excuse me im going to go practice slicing and shooting a bow i haven't worked with a bow in a while so it'll be in my best decisions get my skills back and haven't worked with such magnificent blades in a while either so call me when we head out"
"I'll call you when we'll leave, Cal. Maybe you won't have a lot of time to get your skills back, cause we'll leave the sooner the possible." Then, Saul took a folded cloth and some grease, and worked to get his scythe perfectly clean and shiny.
Silver adjusted a few wires here, and messed with the calibration of the magic transformers a bit there. He wondered when they would be leaving; however dangerous it would be, it was still exciting. He could understand why Jhera had burst with impatience.
"Those who are ready, can go and wait outside", announced Saul. "I understand most of you are impatient; we've been waiting here longewr then i tought. But, ready or not, in five minutes we're off." Saul went outside, and walked to Cal. "We'll leave soon. You still have time for a few more shots, but keep your stock ready, cause i know someponies who may not wait for us."
Saul went to the entrance of the forest. "Everypony ready for the expedition, please join me at the forest entrance. We'll be leaving in a minute." (Note: When you'll want for a beast to appear, just tell it in a not like this. Wait for consent of the others to consent, then introduce it. For fights, please, don't play the hero and kill the beast one-shot. You could roll a dice, and if it's over 4, you success and do damage. If you roll 6 two times in a row, you instantly kill that beast. If you roll under 3, you got damage. Realistic damage: after several wounds, you should go and see jheral. Always, by this time, show a "health meter: 10 or 15 health points should do. And, after 5 beast you help to kill, you level up. Then, you'll need 10 beasts kills for level up: the number always gain 5. (Lvl 3: 15, lvl 4: 20, etc...) Please don't be abusive or put somebod else in trouble: and don't be abusive, for a good hunting and Rp. Thank you all, in advance.)
"understood Comrade i'd say i got my my basic skills down again for slicing with these great weapons i'd gotten my advanced skills back so lets wait i guess for everyone"
Saul made sure his scythe was fixed, and looked into his saddlebag: an old book (animam evocare, from strange hollow, wich was a book written in a foreign language), a folded cloth, an hermetic box filled with grease, and some gems he used to sharpen his scythe's blade. He sighed, and closed his leather saddlebag, impatient. "We won't wait more than five minutes. The others will have to run, if the really want to come along us."
