You guys are using big fancy words and long sentences. Time for me to be simple and dumb. If I can see it, it's a reality to me. If I can't see it, I might not believe in it, but it could still be a reality. I guess everything can exist, how would I know, I'm only human. See, simple and dumb. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
In my opinion pineapples. And dental fillings the wrong way. Until someone defines the terms that are being discussed, Given a definition that every member of the discussion Sees as fit or accurate, You are debating for how apples weight faster than oranges but take up less space than pears being sweeter. I'm just gonna leave this thread now because it is gonna turn into random gibberish. Everything is the matrix. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
Existence = What we think is real (for example, some think a soul exists) Reality = The scientific and unalterable truth. For example, the Higgs boson may exist, but this isn't a reality.
It's relevant. Existence = Hoping something's real Reality = Making it real
"Reality" is a label we use for all we humans know and understand. "Existence" is something that is in the same realm as us or something that has the potential to be created in this realm but may or may not have been discovered yet. I'll just stick to that.
I see many people here give a definition to 'existence', that in my opinion could be more accurately applied to the term 'experience'. I don't see what my existence has to do with how I percieve reality. I exist, period. (At least, let's for now assume I do). But it's my senses and my mind who are responisble for my perception of reality, my 'experience'. I could lie in a coma without any perception of reality, but I would still exist.
The only thing any of us are differing here on opinion is the definitions, and I've noticed that mine seems to be the minority here so I'm changing mine haha. Is this really worth discussing further when the rest of the posts just seem to be "I AGREE"
