Rosenburg reached the door that led to the outside world. Well, make or break time. He turned to the other two. "Just outside is, well, Equestria, I guess. Feel free to take your time." Rotating to face the door, he gave it an almighty push, letting the air and sun stream into the narrow corridor before stepping out.
(Long post incoming !!!) Crimson and Vulcan went hoof to hoof for the final time. While Crimson was having the advantage, he was at a half death state as Vulcan managed to use his size to knock and break Crimson away. Crimson ran towards him with shoved a knife directly into his chest, now completely destroying his already critically damaged power/riot armor. While his armor was destroyed, it did not do a damn thing to Vulcan physically as Vulcan then punched Crimson several meters away. He kept picking up trees to use as a weapon and managed to hurt Crimson, but only hit him seldom and not to much damage towards him anyway. Crimson was coughing up blood as he watched his indoctrinated friend walk towards him. Crimson was then picked up by Vulcan by the neck and was ready to deliver the final blow on him until Crimson shoved something on him as he slipped free and flip-kicked Vulcan just as a buzzing sound was coming to reach it's climax. Vulcan then looked at the object, realizing it as a sticky grenade. It exploded in a powerful fury of fire and shrapnel as smoke engulfed his body. While it managed to injure him, it still did nothing except weaken him. Crimson then grabbed Blackstar and jumped towards the air as Vulcan tried to swing his axe to retaliate. The axe broke as Crimson came down as Vulcan watched in horror at his death coming down towards him, especully from his former comrade. Blackstar went straight through Vulcan as he collapsed onto the ground in a mess. Crimson, who was now completely exhausted and at a death like state looked at Vulcan struggling to gasp for air. He then looked at Crimson and said his final words. "I see it now. I understand everything between us from Project Eternal and our training days together to the indoctrination that Kaisar is using on me as i speak. He wont let go, he refuses to believe that the world is what it used to be now. I thought it would be safe Crimson... i just wanted Equestria to survive. Now.....Eclipse..." Vulcan said. Crimson began to tear up at Vulcan, a friend of his whom he met over two hundred years ago and remained close before his "death". "Don't die on me Vulcan, together we can stop Eclipse. Please... Nos aeternam." "I no longer believe that Crimson. The visions cannot be denied. Eclipse is too powerful. My hope of survival was to join with them. Kaisar used to be a positive leader. But now he has lost all value of himself and his people, and will stop at nothing to ensure Roaman survival. I believed that if could prove my value, I become a resource, worth maintaining. Im sorry, but i needed to do it to ensure our survival. Even if i died on that day, you would have never known what was going to happen. Everypony would have died." "You were a Eternal. You swore to protect Equestria. But now, you are beginning to fill in some very important gaps." Crimson said as he looked at his dying friend. "I understand why you did it Vulcan. And i will meet you again someday." Crimson then smiled at Vulcan, who in return smiled back. "Crimson, before you go i have some vital information you might find interesting. It's about Eclipse, i have detailed documents that im sending to your pipbuck right now." Crimson the looked at his pipbuck download the information he needed. "And also, she's still alive. Ocean is looking for you and wants to finish what we started 200 years ago, only then can we have peace." Vulcan said as he looked at the stars, it was now dark as the commando fort's lights were positioned directly on him and Crimson. “"Vale purpura, iterum autem videbo vos, die." He said as Vulcan died in Crimson’s arms. Crimson, in a sign of respect for his fallen friend, closed his eyes as he looked into the sky. Crimson then collapsed onto the ground below in complete exhaustion and his near death state in the commandos view. The last thing he remembered was Ocean as he fell with a smile on his face.
The sunlight blinded Haze- It took a few seconds of eye-rubbing for her to begin to make out the shapes of the landscape around them. It looked yellow, dead, all lively colour drained out of this once beautiful place. It was heart breaking to see, how much things had changed for the worse since they'd been locked up. There were no forests. There was no grass. Just dirt, rubble and ruins. Haze was speechless. She had expected something terrible, but not to this extent. Everything had changed. Virtually everything any one of them had loved before had been destroyed. A single tear rolled down Haze's face, but she wiped it away. It seemed impossible anypony could survive in this terrible, desolate place. Still wiping her face, she said in a shaky voice "W-where are the other survivors?"
"Go grab him." Julion said simply to some of his mercenaries, "Heal him up, get him rested and prepared for some questioning." The Commandos nodded and grabbed a stretcher, ran out besides Crim, placing his unconscious form on the stretcher then running back, going straight to the medical area. Meanwhile, the rest of the Commandos went about their business, settling into the Fort once more and preparing themselves for possibly a long stay at the Fort.
Rosenburg scanned his eyes over the terrain. "There are communities all over the place, although some just wander the wastes, either finding honest work scavenging and selling items, or by.....preying off others. Luckily though, they're not quite as common as-" He was knocked to the ground as something plowed into him from above. As he hit the floor, he found himself turned over by whatever had smashed into him, and felt some blades held to his throat. Upon seeing the figure atop him, Rosenburg's eyes widened. A black pegasus sneered down at him, his eyes a piercing red with jet black pupils. The mane and tail were a lime green, and the tips a violent, deep blood red. His flank was painted with the image of a crown being stabbed with a dagger, a very similar set of which were attached to the pony's hooves, now pressed directly against Rosenburg's throat. The pegasus' mouth curled back in a malicious grin.
"Either of you move and I cut your friend," Trav snarled at the two companions of the unicorn he had tackled. To emphasise his point he flexed the blades against the unicorn's throat. He had stumbled across this group by complete accident, and they gave off the appearance of having money, which in this time just means having a clean coat. "Now what are you fine ponies doing roaming around these parts of the wastelands," he asked not much caring about the answer they gave. He had already made up his mind. If they gave him any problems he would kill the male and the red pegasus, and keep the pretty white one for himself, maybe sell her to some slavers for extra bits.
A while of walking later and both Tyler and Timestopper come up to a small settlement in the clearing. Tyler and Time both walk up to the front gates and a guard stops them "HALT! What business do you have in our community? Are you traders, slavers, mercenarys, travelers or just people looking for a new home?" Tyler looks over to Time and then looks back waiting for Time to say something.
The guard looks at Timestopper funny then says in a suspicious voice "Hmmm alright you both can come in but any funny business and I will shoot on sight and also I will be taking that magnum from you sir" The guard then holds out his hoof at Timestopper.
He looked around, trying to find his commanding officer or what ever he was called. These Commandos really seemed to have their act together. He would probably stay with time a while, assuming he was allowed to stay.
"You did not just call my flintlock pistol a magnum" Timestopper looked at the guard with a unamused look
"Pistol magnum theyre all the same just guns and we dont allow violence in our community unless we need to so please just hand over your "pistol " the guard said with an annoyed tone Tyler looked over at Timestopper and said "Come on Time just give him the gun I would rather not see violence please just give it up" "Yeah" said the guard "just give it up please do what your friend said"
"OK but if I find a scratch on I will not be happy" Timestopper said handing the guard the pistol "you probably want these too" Timestopper handed the guard a musket, a sword, a dagger, a bomb, and a axe
"Umm Timestopper why do you-" said Tyler just before being cut off by the guard "Welcome to Avalonia" thee guaard said just before the gate opened. When Tyler and Timestopper walked in they both saw a peaceful community with happy ponies everywhere. There were fillies playing on the nearby playground and there were hard working ponies in the marketplace on the left. "Wow" Tyler said "this place is heaven compared to the outside do they even know what its like out there?" Tyler asked
Haze was taken aback by this sudden attack- What should they do? They had to somehow find a way out of this mess. "Nothing that concerns you", she responded. Perhaps she should attack? This stallion didn't look very strong, yet Haze was possibly weaker... Still though, perhaps she would at least be able to knock the knife out of his hand. However, it'd be risky... Way to risky. If she were to do anything, perhaps she should wait for the perfect time, use her speed to her advantage? She thought about what she could use to help her. The floor was dirty, and the dirt was loose. Perhaps she should kick up some dirt, get it in his eyes. In fact, that seemed like a pretty nifty plan. She could kick up a cloud of dust and blind him, then Bryz could perhaps fight him off- She seemed stronger. Haze could get Rosenburg to safety, as Haze was considerably fast, then they could all team up on the stallion. That was perhaps less risky. But how would she signal the plan to Bryz without him knowing? Haze looked by her hoofs. Maybe there was something that could be of use to her? Maybe something she could grab after kicking up the cloud?
"Well if anything we probably shouldnt mention anything about the outside to them they seem happy wouldnt want to worry them" Tyler says "do you want to live here I mean we could get jobs and have families in here so what do you say?"
