Ecliptic carefully scanned the radio frequencies as he wandered the Wasteland looking for civilization. A while ago, a perfectly clear transmission blocked out everything else. It was a warning for the enemies of The Soldier and his army, specifically, somepony called "Calamity". "Well," Ecliptic thought, "at least there is some sort of organized group out here." For the time being, he was glad to have a clean slate.
Julion and the group had stopped at a shack, which had mercifully been abandoned. Julion had taken first watch and was scanning the horizon with Snipe's rifle when he saw a shadow in the distance. He zoomed in the scope to get a better look, and saw one of those winged unicorns, causing him to curse to himself. Although it was alone, he wanted to make damned sure he hit it before it got its shield up, so he screwed on a silencer so he wouldn't disturb the group below, aimed down the sights, and fired. Julion watched as within seconds, the ground nearby the beast exploded, he worked the bolt action with his magic and aimed again, but something made him pause. This one seemed different, it was alone, even though the things usually traveled in groups, and the wings looked to small to support it for any long flight, so instead he just watched it carefully as it slowly wandered its way closer.
"Luna-dammit!" Out of nowhere, a shot impacted the dirt in front of Ecliptic, sending bits of rock flying. Adrenaline surged through his veins, as he slid down a short cliff, hopefully out of sight. His E.F.S. was blank, suggesting whoever shot at him was too far away to return fire with any of the guns Ecliptic had. Peeking his head out, he looked around. Empty. He took some deep breaths and weighed his options. Wait here, move between cover towards the direction of the shot, or surrender, which according to the mangled bits of radio broadcasts was a terrible idea. "Moving forward it is." After a few quick sprints between piles of rubble, Ecliptic realized he wasn't being shot at anymore. Caution turned to confusion and he assumed his attacker was less determined to kill him as he thought. It was then Ecliptic decided that he should be dead already if he was going to be sniped. Nevertheless, it was a good idea to cast a shield spell and draw his weapon before continuing his approach.
Julion watched in absolute silence as the pony he was watching got ever closer. He had climbed down from the roof of the shack and was in position about a hundred yards (Little less then a 100 meters for those who don't know) and watched as the pony walked by. Julion stealthily snuck up behind the pony and followed him for several yards before pulling out Silent Death and pointing it directly at the back of the pony's head, magic ready to bring out Head Hunter if need be, and his body encased in armor, "HEY! What are you doing!" He suddenly yelled, and couldn't help but snicker to himself, he just loved doing that.
Ecliptic jumped and turned around in shock to find himself face to face with an armored pony aiming at him. “I don't... I really don't know. I've only been out here a day, maybe, and by all means I should have died twice already. I was chased out of my stable and I guess I'm just looking for someplace safe to live."
Julion sighed, "Yet another Stable Dweller has found their way to the surface without any idea of what its really like up here." His helmet rolled down, becoming part of the rest of his armor, and he put Silent Death away. "I can get you with a group for help, but on one condition, you come with us to Tenpony and help kill the pony I'm lookin for. Oh, and the name's Soldier."
"I'm Ecliptic and, to be honest, compared to that crap-shack of a Stable, it doesn't seem so bad up here. Same threat of spontaneous death, same radiation. As for your..uh, condition..." He added cautiously, "that really depends on who you're planning to kill. If I'm right, I believe his name is Calamity? Why does he need to die?"
"Let's just say that he turned what would have just been a contract, into something personal, and he needs to pay for it, in blood." Julion said, ushering Ecliptic inside the shack, "Now, let's get ya introduced to everypony and such." (I suggest a little fast-forward, just my opinion)
Not seeing any way out, Ecliptic let himself be directed into the shack. "Not a lot of information," he mumbled to himself, "This doesn't feel right." (Sounds good, but I'm gonna call it a night.)
(Hey, quick question, this seems to have escaped my mind, when did Littlepip and her group reach Tenpony, time wise after Littlepip's escape from Stable 2, does it say?)
(Uuh... I don't remember exactly, but it was at least a few months... I've just read chapters 1 to 5, inclusively...)
Gilroy ran. As someone was chasing him. "C'mere cupcake!" The raider called after him, Gilroy had just woken up from a 200 year nap in statis. His stable in ruins, corpses and skeletons everywhere. Not to mention the raiders that were trying to murder him. He vaguely remembered what he was trying to do before he jumped into the statis chamber. He heard gunshots behind him, and something flew past his head. "Dammit! almost got im!" The room he was trying to get to was one level below him. He ran onto a catwalk, the raider that was chasing him ran onto the catwalk, and another from the other side. "No where to run now, is there?" Spoon panted, and replied: "You know what this vault was testing? Fake magic. Not one unicorn entered. Only earth ponies and pegasi." The raiders looked dumbfounded. Lowering their guns. "Izzat what you got on?" he asked, gesturing to the metal anomaly on Spoon's head, a horn with a metal wire running down the side off his head. "Yeah, it is. One of the spells was levitation." He said as he lifted the sawed off shotgun out of the raider's hoof. "Hey whatur..." He was cut off by his head blasted off by a spread of lead. "S***!" The other raider yelled. He fired his 10mm pistol thrice. Spoon caught the bullets with his magic and sent them back. Leaping off the catwalk. He landed neatly in front of the door. This had not been opened since before the raiders took over. "He was over here!" He heard the rest of the raiders call. Panicking, he began to hack the terminal, it took less than a minute. He ran in and slammed the door behind him. Locking it tight. Trying to steady his breathing so the raiders wouldn't hear him. he turned to look at what he had came for. Rows of synthetic horns, medical supplies and weapons, and ammo. He began collecting everything of value he found several laser pistols, a baseball bat, and some pistols. But the crowning jewel of the storage was the unique .44 magnum revolver, with a mother of pearl handle. And ammo that looked like it was meant for the guns he had found. Saddlebags full of supplies. The two 10mm pistols levitating at his side. He left the storage, the door closing behind him. The last thing he wanted to do was let the raiders find all of the supplies. The raiders saw him leave. He shouted. But two bullets between the eyes shut him up. More of them shot at him, and it felt like something was ripping his horn out of his head. Someone had hit his fake horn. As soon as it was hit. The pistols he was holding went haywire. Shooting every which way. He tried to manually shut of his magic with his Pip-Buck. But to no avail. Seeing that this was hopeless. He drew his base ball bat, and charged.
(I'll go with week 2, oh, and be ready to see Julion's real special talent.) "WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN'T COME IN!" Julion yelled at the guard to the door into Tenpony, "Perhaps you don't know who I am!?" "I'm sorry sir, but we cannot let you in without you surrendering your ammo." the guard said. Julion bit his lip, he really didn't feel like doing this, but... His horn glew, his eyes shifting into a red color and he looked directly into the guard's eyes, "You shall let us pass, and this never happened." The guard, who's eyes had shifted to a corresponding red merely nodded. "Thank you." Then Julion released him, letting the guard fall to the ground, he scrambled up opened the door into Tenpony Tower. Julion's and his comrade's weapons slid into compartments in their armor, hiding the weapons although it prevented the armor from being able to retract fully. "He's been here." Julion whispered to Bloody 2, and she nodded, "Y'all go get a place to stay, I'm going to have a small chat with one DJ-Pon3."
Spoon looked at the gore around him. Gore he had caused. He had killed these ponies. A raider he thought was dead tried to crawl away, but a quick bash to the head with his bat took care of that. He had disabled his horn. And gathered all the supplies he could carry from the raiders. Bringing up the map of Stable 42. : Water talisman around his neck. Spoon took in the depth of the sky. He had to dispatch a few raiders that slept through the carnage. And he had constructed some makeshift armor out of what he had found on the raiders, it was hard to find something to fit his small stature. He saw a very large tower in the distance. Which his Pipbuck said was named 'Tenpony Tower' He began walking towards it.
Julion stood in front of the door that lead to DJ Pon3, he knocked, no answer. He knocked again before finally a grey unicorn opened the door, "What is it?" she asked. "I need to meet with DJ-Pon3." Julion remarked. "I'm sorry, but he can't meet with you right now..." she started, but it was too late, Julion's red eyes met her's, trapping her in his mind-searching magic. "Well well well, looks like I'm already looking at him." Julion said with an evil grin, "Or should I say her!" he forced the unicorn out of the way, making his way into the room, which was lined with books everywhere. "Quite a collection here." He said as he lit a cigar, before turning to look back at the unicorn, "Name's Homage correct?" he asked rhetorically. A bead of sweat went down Homage's face, "Now let's see here, don't worry, I just want to know where Calamity is, and then I'll be on my way." He said in a soothing tone as he dug through Homage's memories. He found that she had already met with the Stable Dweller, one known as Littlepip, and his target was traveling with her. "My my, you've got quite the feelings for her don't you?" He said as he stumbled upon a certain memory that he pushed away quickly, "Hm, not to worry, I just might take that distraction to your work out of the equation as well as Calamity, hell, I might kill them all." he said, pushing Homage's mental limits. "NO!" She suddenly yelled, slightly breaking the trace. "Well, looks like we've got a fighter eh?" he chuckled, "No matter, I got what I came for. I'll make sure to say hello to Littlepip for you." He said, breaking the trance suddenly and quickly, leaving Homage a crying wreck on the ground as he went down to finally fulfill his promise of revenge.
(Possibly, and remember, Julion is only known as the Soldier, there is only one pony who knows his real name, and that's Bloody 2.) Julion stood in front of the door that would lead to his mortal enemy, the one that almost killed him, the one that killed too many of his men, the one that gave him the hideous scar that now marred his face. Julion bucked the door open to reveal Calamity sitting on a chair, "What the!" was all he had time to say before Julion slammed into him, pinning him to the ground, "Well I've finally got you right where I want to!" Julion said, eyes turning red. Calamity recognized what Julion was about to do, and bucked him off, sending him into the air. Julion landed lightly on his hooves, and he whipped out Silent Death, "I will send you to Tartarus!" Julion yelled as he shot at Calamity, who was flying in the room, trying to avoid the blue bolts. "How the hell did y'all get ammo!" He exclaimed as he dodged yet another shot. "Through reasons of my own!" Julion yelled back. Julion heard a gasp from behind and saw the one known as Littlepip, he quickly turned to see Calamity distracted by her sudden appearance and Julion took advantage of it. One stun bolt later, and Calamity had crashed to the ground. Julion heard Littlepip charge at him in rage and one swift kick sent her flying into a wall. He walked up to her and placed a hoof to hold her down, and his eyes turned red, trapping her in his trance. Julion dug through her memories, through her experiences, then came across something that was quite, disturbing, to him. Not from what she experienced in the Wastlelands, but where she had come before. It was, his Stable, memories of his foalhood swarmed him and he staggered back, breaking the trance. He looked around, then ran.
