"I'll go with either one. But how are going to build a radiation bomb?" Forge asked putting the knife down. "If we can go to Novac, then we could rest. If we build a radiation bomb we will not have any rest, leaving us a little weak."
Niza leaned over and whisper to Forge. "I think he was joking about the radiation bomb... Unless!" she looked back at the Pip-Boy's maps again. "I really need to get myself on of these... Anywho, I hear some the vaults are looking pretty for some old tech and weapons this time of year..."
"I've been through the ones that have been discovered. The only one not discovered was a vault that had such beautiful plants, but I was warned that they carried vicious spores." Forge looked at Damien then to the ground, "If we go to Novac to rest up, I can make Niza a standard pip-boy which can be made within an hour with the right tolls and parts that is. We can go to that vault, but we need radiation masks or something that'll cover our mouths from breathing in the spores. I have all valuable tech in a hidden Brotherhood of Steel bunker. How did I get in, I helped the brotherhood make new weapons, tech, and armor, and what shocked me was that their leader decided to lift that silly lock down of theirs. So, I have the right tools to make anything on a table." Forge looked at Niza and Damien, "The bunker is not very far, it'll take us half a day to get there."
As the time passed, the group traveled across the Mojave Wasteland to make it towards the specific bunker that Forge had told the group of Legion Hunters about. Traveling across the day and into the night of the dry desert, the group eventually made it at the bunker at Midnight once Forge had given the group some specific directions about the location. They were seemingly in the middle of nowhere, and when put in comparison to the status and sheer lethality of the Legion hunters, that was a good thing. Damien stood at the door with a half empty bottle of water in his hand, almost appearing to not have even broken a sweat if it wasn't for a bead that escaped his glands. He turned around to look at Forge. "Is this the place?" The former Ranger asked.
Forge stood in front of a metal door unlocking it, "Yeah, this is it." He walked in along with the group and opened the man size hatch on the ground, "If it's not yours don't touch unless approved, and remember to be careful, there are lots of hazards for a clean place inside the lockers." Forge climbed down the ladder into a a fairly large room. "You can come down."
Damien slid straight down the ladder as he landed straight onto the floor below him. He looked around to find nothing but darkness around him and tried to find a nearby light source around him, turning on his pipboy light to help aid him.
Niza slid down after Damien into the darkness. As she reached the bottom, she could see Damien's Pip-Boy glowing in the dark. HE fiddled around Forge's before managing to get it glow bright enough. "I really hope they have one of these days here..."
Forge turned on the power generator, and as the lights turned on, a huge room was revealed with weapons, tech, and armor hanging on racks. Some of the items were spread across 10' ft. tables with large ammo crates beside them. "Thanks to the brotherhood of steel, within a month we expanded this room, and they donated SOME of the tech here, but I had to kill a lot of people in the past just to get this much. Half of these are from the vaults, which were very hard to get. Choose what you want, and you'll get to keep it, but don't take too much. Oh, and one more thing," Forge walked up to a metal door, and pressed a few buttons on a small terminal beside it. The door opened on it's own, and a small room full of various pip-boys was revealed, "Niza you get to pick a pip-boy of your own. Just ask if you need details and directions on how to use it."
Once the light was up, Damien took a nearby pencil and a notepad and began to write down what was needed to create this weapon. As he began to write down some details from a terminal containing a useful chart of radioactive elements, he was considering the radioactive isotope needed to render the area useless for decades and also keep the lethality level high enough to make any attempt to even go near the camp impossible without the right gear. He knew that this would render the camp useless, but knew that the area would eventually become habitable again after a few decades, IF the Legion was defeated at Hoover Dam. "Strontium-90 would make an excellent part of our bomb, but Caesium-137 would serve a much more severe result with an extra year included onto it's half-life. Polonium would certainly get the job done, but it's half-life could last as long as 3,000 years. And then the chances of the radiation entering the Colorado....No, far too dangerous." Damien said quietly to himself as he lent up onto the back of a wall, writing what could be needed for the weapon. 'Longer half-life, less radioactive." Damien then looked around at Niza and the rest of the group. We need an isotope of Polonium208, it's half life last's just under 3 years and is extremely fatal. I doubt the Legion would want Cottonwood Cove after this. Don't really know what this could do to the water, but the Dam would simply purify the rest of the Colorado. Let's hope that after we detonate this weapon, I can sleep at night knowing that those further down the Colorado in Legion occupied Arizona and some parts of California aren't dead."
"Hm," Forge thought for a moment, "Well, i'm always welcomed at Nellis-air force base. I thinking that we could compress into a mini nuke, and as soon as it's detonated..." Forge continued to think, and then it struck him, "In one of the vaults there was a generator, used for controlling the radiation within an area. But, it's guarded by nothing but Golden and Fire gecko's, at least 51 strong last I counted. If we could kill those miniature godzillas, then we can get that generator." Forge finished his sentence before looking at Damien who had a questionable look, "Godzilla is a 21st century movie, found in one of the vaults that the Brotherhood and I repaired, the was great."
(OH NO! THERE GOES TOKYO! GO GO GODZILLA !!! *Blue Oyster Cult song*) "I see, well before my time I take it." Damien agreed with several small nods. "The Generator sounds good. We're likely to find absolutely nothing on isolating the chemical element for the bomb, and even if the Brotherhood had the tech, it would be difficult for them to replicate a working model for us." Damien said, getting up from his chair and looking at several mods for his Hunting Rifle, such as a better ammo capacity. He would have preferred the Brush Gun as his weapon of choice as it was the weapon he always used during his Ranger days, but the specific ammunition was extremely difficult to find and even manufacture, leaving that critical weakness to not be the Demons weapon of choice. However, Damien knew a thing or two about his own weapon. Knowing it inside and out, he had modified the weapon beyond new levels. Damien's own custom hunting rifle was modified with enough power to easily penetrate Power Armor with standard ammunition, making the weapon much more powerful then the Brush Gun. It only weighed half as much as it did to a standard model, had a custom action to increase the rate of fire and had a larger magazine capacity. It even sported an amazing hand crafted gold decal of a women laying down sideways reminiscent of 'The Birth of Venus' painting engraved on the butt of the rifle. It's only weakness was that due to the rifle's design, it only fired on Semi and kicked quite hard when fired. But it was ridiculously accurate and it NEVER jammed. Damien could drop the gun in saltwater for days, leave it in sand or drag it through mud. No matter what anything could do to this gun, it never let him down. "We should rest for the night before we head out." Damien said
Niza marveled at the room full of Pip-Boys, almost weeping at it. "They're all so beautiful..." She quickly undid Forge's and tossed it to him before hurrying in like a kid in a candy store. She tried on all various models and types, from ones that protruded blades to ones that shot small bolts of pure energy. After going through several dozens, she came out with one a chrome plated one a more sleeker design and a manual. "The Pip-Boy 2300," she began to read off. "Now in an even more sleeker design and high polarized magnets that easily attract the metal of guns to it, allowing you to keep your rifle aimed at the target with reduced recoil... Neat"
Damien found several more mods for his weapons. He had included a seemingly brand new heavy duty slide, increasing it's durability. An upgraded iron sight and and improved grip for the weapon made from snakeskin. At Damien's side was a weapon nobody had ever seen before, and appeared only as an long straight stick with buttons on it's side. It was certainly not Brotherhood nor Enclave, but the looks of the weapon could be deceiving. Damien then improved the barrel of his Hunting Rifle to increase it's stopping power even further before drifting off to sleep.
Forge looked at the pip-boys and then looked to Niza who looked like a child in a candy store. He opened up a chest which had revealed several titanium square shaped plates. There was a piece of paper that had writing on it inside the chest. Forge read, remembering that he had read it before. He heard Damien saying that we should rest, which did sound good. Forge had stayed up for a complete year, not resting what so ever. Forge then took one of the metal plates out. He strapped it to his back. Forge then placed a rifle on it, hoping that everything would go as planned. Successfully, the latched on to the metal plate. No straps, belts, and no hooks. "Rest sounds good." Forge said to himself, opening yet another chest filled with only two pillows. "You guys can get some rest, i'm staying up to upgrade a little something."
Niza yawned and grabbed a few drum mags for her smg, several extended mags for her assault carbine, and a silencer for her .45 before leaning up against the wall. "No complaints here." (I could go for one.)
(Why not the 3 Days RP time that Snow wanted to use. In the meantime, Damien and the others could have been training and working on the bomb for their attack?) (Also, I need to make an OCC for this)
