True. But it's still a little odd that a full grown woman (well, as 'full grown woman' as 22 can be) is /this/ into ponies. I get way too excited when I see ponies. Seriously. Like... clapping like a little girl and squealing in glee =P
My family is fine with it. Although I think I've annoyed my dad by autotuning the tv to change over to it in the morning. :Trollestia: / Actually he's a good sport about it.
Here's how it is with my family. Brother 1: Became a fan of the show too. I only told him about it because his dog's name is Luna. This was the same day I learned what a Brony was. Brother 2: My other brother got me a RBD shirt for my birthday and this brother was confused. So we explained it to him and he was completely fine with it. Sister 1: She knows all about it and seems to be fine with it. She's very hard to read so I'm not 100% sure how she feels. Sister 2: Has no idea about it. She has a daughter who plays with MLP toys and I don't want to deal with her because she has a very rude personality. She loves hurting people's feelings. Mom: I never actually told her, but she must've heard me talking about it with friends on xbox live by now. She probably wouldn't care at all since she doesn't care about anything. She's like Mac's mom from "Always Sunny in Philadelphia" if anyone knows what I mean. Dad: Never had a chance to tell him because he lives 1300 miles away and I only see him once or twice a year. He's very stubborn, but would probably approve.
Its really heartwarming to hear how positive a load of the response has been. I hope that this will inspire some people. And I think we already know what to do with haters. Peace, Love, And Tolerance make for powerful weapons.
My little brother liked my brony shirt and cheerfully laughs of his older brother liking ponies My step sister seems to enjoy me being a brony My mother said that its ok to see my little pony.she perferred I watch that rather than the walking dead My Dad always supports me and liked the idea of this online community. Glad to hear yours is just as supporting. I wish I had someone in my family capable of making plushies.
Ehem.... Mom: Rolls her eyes everytime I mention ponies, thinks I am overreacting... she thinks my art is cute, tough. But she's still negative. Dad: Rolls his eyes when he see my drawings, thinks I'm a bit wierd, and ask me why the hell I can't stop drawing these stupid ponies and do something with my "drawing skills". Negative. (And he doesn't even know I'm watching the show, he thinks it's just some kind of trend) Friends: Just a few knows, but everytime I mention ponies they just sigh and turns their backs at me. My two best friends are positive, since I found our personalities in The Cutie Mark Crusaders, so they sing the CMC theme, but they only like CMC, and refuses to watch the rest of the show... I have gotten Jonna (we're closer friends than me and Marie) to watch "Hearts and Hooves-Day", and the first two episodes, but she isn't so good at english so she doesn't understand everything and that makes it boring.. I showed my two brothers the show (They're 2 and 9) and they watch it on YouTube sometimes. I think it's so wierd, this fandom isn't so much different than others? I think Bronies are cool, we're not as 'violent' as other people for some reason (The magic of friendship seems to work!!!) It's cool that so many out there get so great response from their friends and family! But I still have all the wonderful Bronies on the internet to talk to<3
Well, what happened to me was: -Closet for awhile -Watch on Boomerang +1 after school whe I get home (4am) -Parents find out I watch it for me, not baby sister -Parents dissaprove, is called Pathetic -Keeps distance form parents, not just for PS3 and Laptop -Transforms other friend in school to brony Other people are more lucky than me. Don't let me get you down, though.
Mom: It's cool. Ponies are cute, I like them too. Dad: ... What? You are too old to ponies. Grandma: What? Ponies? Pink horses? Ok. Friends: Ponies? ... Ok, we like you. So, no that bad.
You all could be into death metal or guts and gore. One of my sisters is a Wiccan. My cousin is a hard gambling drunk. His brother is a lifelong criminal. I suppose if I could choose my family I'd much rather have bronies in it.
oldest bro:brony second oldest:thinks its gay :least oldest bro:brony step mom:wont let me even where a brony shirt in her presence dad:thinks its gay mommy:dissaproves grandparents: dont understand concept
