I wear my flamboyantly gay brony pride on my sleeves (Without actually being gay.) Now I wish I had a brony wardrobe, all I got is a Twilight Sparkle key chain to bring out in public, unless I wanna put my TS figure in my shirt pocket... P.S. I am Introverted, not shy, just don't talk unless needed too. But do slip into Pinkie Pie mode when needed.
Cause necroposter's wanted too. I just didn't want them to feel bad for doing it. (and it gives me a chance to actually explain my situation.) Plus Spark, anything that you made is worth a bump...
My family hasn't disowned me, but they do think I am very strange indeed... most of the time the ridicule me and call me a gay and other such things, but that's normal I guess. At least for me it is...
I think my dad saw my Rainbow Dash figure when helping me with something on the computer. it was just standing there on my keyboard. didn't give any comment on it tho... guess he did not notice it? =/ I also drew Applejack when I was on a family dinner at my mom's place. my older sister saw it ofc and was like "lol, it's my little pony" and then the other saw it was like "aww, what a cute drawing" and that's about it. =/ I don't know if my family is weird or just more open or simply don't care... either that or they just don't know there are people called Bronies. it just seems odd to me cause I hear about all those other strong reactions from other people's parents.
I have no brothers or sisters.... My mom doesn't care that I'm a brony, I'm trying to convert her anyway she's 39 lol I told her I'd stop eating pizza if she'd watch one episode!! wish me luck! She doesn't auto hate it atleast I'm too scared to tell my dad.. I just don't know how he would react.. I don't know if he would get I like ponies. :/
My mom seems to be ok with it, but we never talk to each other about it. My dad, on the other hand, isn't too on board. I mean, he doesn't think bronies are gay, but he thinks they're really crazy in the head. The only other relative that knows is my cousin, who is a brony as well, and he's on his way here now, so BRONY INTERACTION IN REAL LIFE!
It seems like most families are ok with the members being Bronies, there is just a lot of awkwardness that accompanies the realization of someone being a brony. xD
I severely apologize for necroing this thread. I saw a guest viewing it in the "who's online" thing. Anyway... I really only had one person to tell. Which was my mother. Unfortunately, I don't really have any IRL friends anymore (but don't worry I'm fine with that ) She pretty much had a neutral reaction and didn't care. I haven't told anyone else and there are times I feel like I'm the only brony in the area I live in. One of these days, if I ever have the money, I'll buy some sort of brony clothing, go out in public with it on, and see what happens. Am I brave enough to do that though? That's the real question here... :ahh:
