Do not mention SAM in this facility! Even other shock fiction should be circulated for those who like it, but SAM is sacriledge. Not even scary, just makes anyone who reads it want to take a shower. Honestly, it isn't even ominous/thriller shock, just dirty shock, like eating mud. Sorry, it has ways of making me rant. Anyways, in all truth, we should avoid that topic, it gives a bad impression of fanfiction as a whole, while the majority of the genre could not be further from it.
While we've discussed the content of Cupcakes (without detail, mind you), I do not think SAM is a subject or level that can be properly discussed due to its content. It's universally agreed that it's as bad as it can get. It's still fanfiction, but always remember: fan-fiction. I look for specific stories I would enjoy. Typically they're romance between two select characters. Always light hearted or happy.
I'm starting to increase the stuff I read. I wanna read fallout equestria. But my favorite are ship fics. The first one I have read was called scars. I love reading AppleDash fics and Twixie. Lol. Can someone tell me why I went and listened to a dramatic reading of Sweet Apple Massacre while reading along? Wow. Well, I didn't read Cupcakes but I'm sure it can't be worse. I decided to see how bad the gore fictions are and this one is just so messed up its comical. I mean in a cosmic sort of way, yes. It's not like scary or I think less of the characters because these aren't the characters. I mean, now I at least have some understanding of these...things.
Lol, yes. At least I'm not so sensitive it's gonna haunt my dreams or anything. Honestly, it was easy to block out of my mind because if I wanted to, I can feel superman-like qualities of empathy for characters but the story was so senseless there was no need.
only ship-fic ive read up to this point was Fading Colors, and only because one of my friends linked me to it. but man, it was absolutely brilliant. not to mention it was an AppleDash fic, which is pretty much the only Mane 6 shipping combo i actually would support. i sorta refuse to read anything beyond that one though, just because at some point it starts to seep into the actual show, and change my opinions of characters based on their personalities in fics

Haha thats the problem for me; if it doesnt seem realistic or plausible to me, then i dont read it. and honestly not many fics in general, and even fewer ship fics, make any sense to me. im a bit of a snob

Cupcakes jutst bored me. But I think Fan Fiction and the actual show are incomparable. They are great in their own rites. Especially Shipping and Handling by pegasusrescurebrigade. Such a well written fic, I would recommend it. I feel sorry for people that don't read fanfic and say all fanfic is bad because of one bad experience with grimdark (personally, I'm a fan of gd) because there are so many good fics out there. My Little Dashie for example, if you just removed the swear words, that's something you could read to a family without any negative repercussions. SO in conclusion, like I said, fanfic and the show are completely incomparable and should be treated as such.
