Hey, everyone. I was unaware all this time that the submission notification system had broken and I was not receiving any emails for when a new story had been submitted for approval. As a result, I probably missed some and the last submission that I received was on July 12, 2012. Thanks to Eight Star, it was brought to our attention and Mike has fixed it (as far as I can tell). Now, the backlog of threads that the missed submissions are buried in would be quite overwhelming, as the fanfiction sections aren't directly separated beyond their forum names. EG: General and General Discussion -- one word difference. Please resubmit all of your submissions that never received a reply/response from either me or Tenortrouble. Also, do not submit your stories as JUST a FiMFiction link. I know that might seem a little ridiculous coming from me since my own story is posted in Docs, but that's wholly due to the fact that I encountered a word cap on posts a long time ago and it's a physical copy on the site. xD Anyway, good luck, and do not be deterred by being declined. I always try to offer critique or advice for improving each time, even in cases where I do approve a story.
Have you guys considered utilizing the /fictions/ system I never quite finished implementing? It might make your lives easier in the future, it might not of course, but it couldn't hurt to look at it! What was up with this one though, just the email that was messed up?
I wasn't receiving emails (and I don't check the new threads feed cause there's tons) for each submission after the last. No one PMed me, so I just assumed no one was submitting any. Then Mike told me that Eight Star asked him why his hadn't been approved after a couple of submits. D: It should be fixed now, so resubmit. And in regards to the other fiction section: I didn't want to worry about it right now cause of other changes going. While your new system is more friendly towards those with long/multi-chapter stories, it isn't much of an issue at the moment since most authors here typically do one shots or short chapters grouped together..
Yeah, it's not "my" system - and come to think of it, it's on license anyway, so maybe it's best to not use it if you can manage without x) It's not expensive, like $40 a year or something, but yeah, as you rightfully say no need to over complicate things, I just wanted to make sure you remembered it was there! Glad to hear it's sorted anyways. Keep up the good work!
