It was a while after his prey had gotten away, but the giant didn't mind. It was four hours before the party he would be hosting at his house in the mountains and deep forests of Berchtesgaden. The eerie castle served as the living-quarters of his royal blood; Adrian was a Count. He decorated his generally black-and-white house in very contrasting red carpets, red drapes, red flowers, and a very large swastika-flag. He had prepared the food himself... and was ready to serve his speciality.
Reznove ran through the thick forest and saw an opening, "Looks like-" He turned to see no old man, he was probably caught, "сынок - - a - сука!" (Son of a B****) He continued inward, seeing what looked like an old abandon town, he might as well take refuge there.
Being a guest of absolute honor, Rene was invited to the celebratory party that Adrian was holding at his home. He had his blonde hair brushed so that it was out of his eyes, made sure that he was clean and presentable and got himself dressed in a red suit specially made for him by Hugo Boss, who was not in his late eighty's. He was happy of how he was presented, but was also stressed about the other catastrophic events that were taking place involving the Chaplin movement. America was just starting to fight back against Mexico, Japan was losing territory rapidly as their losses finally began to take a toll on them, Eastern Russia was almost completely unified and Scandinavia was preparing itself for a war against the Reich, knowing that doing so would be suicidal. England, the perfect example of a war-torn society, was fighting back, and their assistance was immeasurable. It was December 1st 1965, and for the first time in a long time, Rene felt happy. However, he was totally unaware that the end of Fascism would soon be upon him. The Chaplin movement, which was nothing short of a mass European rebellion, was winning in some fights they had against their Nazi oppressors. Their last victory, the liberation of Paris. Rene was stressed by this movement, spending days at a time in his office to find a way against this hell he was fighting against, and that Germany was starting to be in range of the rebels. Rene absolutely believed in Hitler's 'teachings', and will do anything in his power to ensure the survival of the Reich. Be it a peace treaty, retreating their borders, or going all out and essentially turning Europe and the remainder of the world into a post-apocalyptic wasteland by using all of their nuclear warheads against their enemies. Even then, the Reich was following Rene's charm and personality and mostly not about the ideals they were built upon, almost fighting for him as if he was a god-emperor thanks to a personality cult built around him. Even then, if Rene and Adrian were to be removed from the giant puzzle that was Europe, the Reich would collapse. It might take a week, or it might take decades. Unless another individual like Rene or Adrian came along, the German Reich was doomed. He was oblivious to the truth staring him in the face, the Reich was dying. And that when the Reich finally fell, he would be executed by the end of the month. (I'm thinking that story-wise, this would be the last month or so of the RP. I have a excellent way of wrapping the story up for Rene, because once he dies, the Reich would essentially collapse unless Adrian quickly steps in. Expect more intense events to occur.) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Within the past month, Oliver had remained in the small German town as if it was his duty to protect the women he found in Poland and to protect Alexis, he now wore the standard white and yellow armor that was well known for the movement. He was impressed how organized it was, and how many were willing to die for what they believed in. He was one of those millions who were fighting for peace. He was privileged enough to attending the meeting, something he felt immensely proud for being able for. As for Ella, he now had someone to protect and die for. He had developed a relationship with her, and that meant he also had feelings for her. He was however, unsure if Ella felt the same way about him.
Over the past month Alexis made regular trips to the abandoned ski resort where the whole meeting would be held. Most of the trips being to improve it and make it look presentable to those who would be visiting. The once decaying wood replaced with fresh polished ones and the dirty broken glass cleared and replaced. After a month it looked better than ever. Except for the ski slope and other places that weren't the lodge. Then she returned to the small village where she told Oliver to freshen up as she heard something about Trotsky and the prime-minister of the Scandinavian union coming a week in advance of the meeting,
A month of staying in an abandon town by yourself is one thing, surviving the winter there was another. Hunting was difficult, there weren't very many moose nor deer, what was found though were wolves. Reznove had to fight his way through the oaks to take several of them down, turning the hides into coats, flesh for food, and the bones for parts for traps. Reznove couldn't jet simply leave, miles of traveling gin the snow could be dangerous especially when you don't have the proper tools to do so, but he was a hard ass, Reznove could survive anything, for example the bullet he took to the head.
Ella's leg wound healed up for the most part. The only evidence of it left behind was large scar and some off color skin but she could walk and for the most part run. She managed to find clothes and even backpack and camera similar to her old ones she had before they were taken by the Nazi. She took pictures of the small town and some of rebels around it, for "historical documentation" she claimed. As for Oliver, she was grateful to him for saving and even showed a little feeling for him before dismissing it off, trying not to reveal her feelings for him. On occasion, she did have a habit of including him on most of her pictures she took during a day.
Rene got into his car and sat into the backseat, surrounded by two of his favorite bodyguards, Anton and Erwin, who were fortunate enough to come to the party with Rene. They both left Berlin not long after lunch and arrived at Adrian's home just after sunset. All three of them were miles away from any sort of civilization and the party that was taking place was a good distraction from the crisis occurring in Europe. Rene knew of a meeting of the Chaplin movement, but was unsure exactly where it was and who was attending. He knew that all of the important figures of the movement were attending, and that if he could coordinate an attack at just the right moment and time, he could put down the entire movement in a single blow.
The waiters were scurrying around the dark castle, holding platters of Adrian’s speciality. Many members of the SS and Gestapo had come, as well as allies of the Reich, enjoying wine and fine food. The giant himself sat at the piano, playing Bach’s Goldberg variations, flawlessly and with passion. He loved the piano, the elegance to it and yet the ability for the music to turn dark in the hands of the one playing it. The black-leather plague doctor mask he wore caused a few head to turn their heads at the man’s strange appearance, but he merely ignored them, simply playing his grand piano. He had a little black table set aside to place his meal atop of, and after playing Bach, he settled, receiving a bit of an applause from his guests. He picked up his meal as a small young man replaced him at the piano, as he mingled, though did not say one word. There was an opening in the bottom of the mask’s beak that was close to his face, allowing him to eat and drink, but still impeding any view of any of his facial features… In thought, Adrian could only smirk at his own genius. A few days earlier, he had the SSWF commence into the full effect of Protocol 13: He would initiate Project ODIN, where he would send out satellites to monitor activities around the globe using different satellites, using MUNINN and THOR satellites to keep tabs on other countries, MUNINN satellites keeping tabs on civilians, and THOR satellites keeping tabs on other militaries as well as establishing communications with outside allied forces and Reich members and military forms on the outside, whilst HUGINN and LOKI satellites kept tabs on the Reich, with HUGINN satellites keeping track of Reich civilians, and LOKI satellites keeping track of military operations on the inside of the Reich, mostly covert ones, and establishing effortless communications within the SS and Gestapo. Hidden security cameras were put up everywhere, though discreetly, and the SSGP kept track of of all the information coming through. Adrian now had access to everything ever recorded via electronics He saw and heard everything everywhere, and now no prey could escape him. He had a wireless communication device in his ear at all times, now, and could discreetly find out any information he needed to know. It was his time. Protocol 13 was only partially commenced earlier, and soon, even a greater purging was to come. The Totenkopfverbande had been notified to ready the camps for the Protocol, and soon a shadow was to block all light from the Earth. It was rainy very stormy, and Adrian loved it...
As the last of the renovations were done. An iron fence was errected across the site with guard posts and towers. For generations to come this would be the site of global unity and co-operation. So of course she didnt want it ruined by the nazi's so with the help of the ex SS soldiers Enlisted not only men but women as well. Something some of the older men hated up until they remembered what gender Alexis was. By the end of it all the Tsar and Prime-minister had already arrived with quite a few armed back-up to help with the security. The original 110 guards were amped up to at least 400. Security was tight and they made sure Rene would have a tough time dealing with it.
(Excuse me, I have just noticed that I've been putting SSSU instead of SSSE... SS Spezialenheit.) It was far away from the enemy's location. Adrian had heard about it from a few retired SS Allgemeine officers who had been recruited by the Resistance. The gas-mask wearing soldiers, eyes hidden by scoped entering the mouths of hooded, ankle-length long coats meant to conceal them well in the shadows, were expert marksman, trained by the Scarecrow himself. Like student, like master, they were incredibly accurate with their weapons, wielding specialized Karabiner 98ks with silencers, heavy ammunition meant for taking out enemies behind enemies behind enemies behind walls, and long-ranged, auto-adjusting scopes with adjustable zooms developed by the SSWF, and also lengthened barrels to improve accuracy. Though not quite as powerful, accurate, or deadly as Adrian's PTRS, they were highly dangerous. There were only a small squadron, around nine men in all, but their specialized equipment, also including silenced lugers with laser-pointers, flashlights that could strobe in order to blind an opponent, as well as tactical knives with surgery precision, they would become demons. Rain poured upon the area, and darkness had taken over, but they were patient soldiers, only executing their plan when signaled by the giant, who was able to see what was going on via special lenses he had implanted to his masks that allowed him to directly see what his personal satellite, UTGARD-LOKI, was able to see. He was now supervising this operation, and was waiting for the right time.
Rene just stared out of a window at the party, watching night begin to fall from a distance in silence as he thought about the ultimate decision. The decision to simply crash the “party”, as some of his officers had called it, would have yielded heavy casualties alone. However, Adrian was sent to re-ensure that this operation ran smoothly. All he wanted was a good night; it was such a shame that something like this had to occur. The silence was broken as an officer came into his quarters. “Preperations are ready, My Fuhrer!” the officer spoke simply. Silence returned again until Rene spoke once more. “I’ll be leading this personally, make preparations. We leave in an hour.” The officer saluted before leaving. Once he had left, Rene walked to a table draw to remove a syringe with a strange red/orange coloured liquid inside. It was the greatest accomplishment of the Third Reich, and of all of human history. It had been in development for over forty years and was created in the utmost secrecy, only three people knowing of its existence and all of whom had now died of old age. Once Rene took what was contained in this syringe, he was to become more than human. Only one successful product had ever been made, and it was intended to be taken by the Fuhrer. It would have turned a human being into something superhuman. Unparalleled abilities and the end of ageing itself, it would have made Rene biologically immortal and would have made it impossible for him to die of natural causes. However, it’s only drawback was that it made Rene sterile. But once the Reich found a way to reverse this syringe’s negative effects, he would have been absolutely unstoppable. Rene paused for a moment as he sat down in his chair, until he came up with a conclusion. “Forgive me...” He injected himself with the liquid and took sharp heavy breaths as he almost collapsed and died as it was, coughing up blood while it felt his blood was injected with napalm and his muscles began to spasm out. By the time his body did stop moving, he simply got up as if nothing had happened. No physical changes had occurred, other than his blue eyes being slightly brighter than they formerly were. Once this mission was over, he would give exactly the same liquid to Adrian. However, this would have also reversed the effects of his horrendous scars across his body and would have also given the ability of speech once more. He smiles as he went to switch into a heavily decorated piece of armour and head to his destination.
Ella was outside the ski lounge taking pictures of some of the guards there. Some would smile or even pose, but others just seem to glare or keep a stoic face. As the Tsar and Prime-minister arrived, she hurried over and managed to snap a few pictures before being shooed off by their escort. She continued to linger outside the entrance, waiting to see is anyone else was going to pull up.
After a while, many more guests began to appear at the ski lounge. From the President of the Scandinavian Union, to the leader of what remained of the French Republic and it's people after a mass genocide by the Reich earlier in the year, to important leaders from America fighting a two-sided war against Mexico and Japan and dozens of other leaders in roles of power in the movement. By now, there was at least 700 guards protecting over a hundred people.
Alexis approached the gathering of the leaders and from what she could see the only other woman apart from herself and Ella was the Italian representative. "Okay, if you would all like to follow me the meeting is about to begin." She led them all to a room which was once a large ice rink. Now covered up and each of the over 100 represented countries a designated seat with their country on a plaque in front. "If you could all find your delegated seat we may begin. First order of business will be discussing the liberation of Italy, Spain and Germany. Followed by discussing the future borders of reseeded Germany." Alexis stood at a central podium with a plaque that read CM chairman.
Ella whistled in amazement before slipping in with the large crowd that entered the lodge. As they entered the rink and fanned out to take their seat, she remained near the back and watched. She was surprised that so many leaders showed up, but was worried this many would attract attention from the Nazis.
Rene appeared right behind Adrian simply out of nowhere, his newfound powers allowing him to perform feats that were deemed unnatural. Only Adrian would have felt him nearby. Rene simply kept to the shadows as he thought of any possible ways to eliminate all of his enemies inside of the ski lounge. He thought of originally detonating a nuclear warhead above the lounge, where the sheer power of the weapon and the radiation would get the job done but would also completely ruin the environment for decades. Even then, the warhead would have been spotted miles away in the dark and alert them of their presence. Overall, it would not leave a very good image on Germany. There was another possibility, another ultimate weapon of sorts located in orbit of Earth. It had the destructive power of a nuclear weapon and having no radiation or fallout. It was also untraceable until the weapon caused ripple effects in the sky seconds before it would hit its target. However, that would still devastate the environment and cause unnessacary collateral damage. Rene did have this idea however, located about five hundred meters above the ski lounge on a mountain path was a railroad track that carried a passenger train. The track had been unused for roughly a decade since the construction of a newer, safer path had been constructed instead and completely bypassed the ski-resort and the surrounding area. Five kilometres north, there was a train-storage warehouse that housed them, all abandoned. Rene had ordered to have one of them filled with enough explosives to level the ski-lounge and ordered the train to be abandoned while it set on its course. When it got up to speed, it would be travelling fast enough to head straight off a cliff and into the ski-lounge. Once the train detonated, thousands of soldiers would arrive to pick off anything that survived, if it were to survive. This would have been impossible for the movement to avoid, they would not react quick enough to deal with what was about to happen. His train left five minutes ago. Rene smiled as his vision, which was now beyond human, seen a long grey shape in the cliffs in the background picking up speed. He looked at the guards on patrol, who were completely unaware of what was about to happen. Rene then looked at Adrian. “Here’s my train...” Rene joked around darkly.
Unfortunatly for Rene, some guards were on patrol round that area. They quickly radio'd in which was then played across the compound. "Train carrying unknown contents heading straight for meeting hall." Alexis and the hundred plus guests were guided out of the ski lodge to a safe underground bunker that even the nazi's had no idea about. Another message came on the speakers across the compound spoken by the president of the Scandinavian union. "Fascist scum, we now know you are out there. The union has had troops on your border in both denmark and Sweden. I have also been told that about over 1 million soldiers have been waiting on the Russian border. This WILL be considered an act of war and I have now mobilis..." The declaration was cut short as the explosion hit the ski lodge. A plume of smoke rising into the air.
Rene was not impressed, even with the train slamming into the lounge. He then rose to his knees and walked out into the plains leading towards the lounge, or what remained of it. Walking slowly towards the lounge as an entire platoon of guards, the same ones that alerted those inside of the lounge, came over a small hill and charged at him, wielding heavy weaponry as they desperately tried to eliminate the most powerful person on the planet. Rene took a combat knife out of a belt buckle and threw it with ease with perfect precision as it buried itself in the middle of a guards throat with his left hand, before taking out his sidearm and delivering head shots like it was nothing. Easily twenty guards had died within fifteen seconds before a sniper with an enormous rifle, large enough to be considered a cannon, located in the hills decided to try his luck and the wind cracked for a single second as a loud gunshot echoed around the valley, and a large sniper round slammed into the forehead of Rene. The impact was enough to not only enough to send Rene’s head skyward and keep his body remaining perfectly still somehow, but the sheer kinetic force would had broken every single bone in his body. If he was still human... One of the cameras mounted to a helmet of a guard, used to help promote historical evidence after the event, caught the moment that Rene supposedly died. There was cheering for a brief moment until the faces on the guards was filled with horror as Rene suddenly began laughing like a maniac. He moved his head down slowly as he looked at his enemies, to see the bullet wound miraculously heal before their very eyes. The bullet clearly went through his brain, but the fact that he was not dead terrified them. He then suddenly sprung into life as he took the knife from the solider that he first killed, and mowed down what remained of the platoon. The camera was still recording on the now dead guard as he performed a combat roll and took a bolt action rifle and fired it seemingly into nothing, only to see the dead sniper fall off from a cliff-face below a second later. Rene removed the camera and held it into the air, hoping that it’s was recording live for Alexis to see. “You all have exactly half an hour to remove the option of declaring war before I will turn Europe into a wasteland. I’ve given you peaceful options to allow humanity’s hope for a perfect future to survive; now you have forced my hand. Remember, half an hour.” Rene then went to the burning wreck of the ski lodge and found a tunnel that would eventually led to a bunker and held a radio to his ear to Adrian and command. The flames did almost nothing to him, he felt nothing anymore. Rene felt like a god and was damn near unstoppable, he was not about to let the Reich cease to exist until his final breath. A war against the Scandinavian Union would end quickly, the term 'Military powerhouse' was not the best thing to describe the Union. What they lacked in their military, they made up for in medicine and education. Russia had always been a problem and always would be, which is why the heaviest areas of military force would arrive there first. From power armored troops, unparalleled air superiority, cutting-edge tanks, artillery and overall weaponry would give the average Nazi solider a kill ratio to almost 300 to 1, and Rene had thirty million extremely loyal soldiers. To make matters worse, the Reich was mass-producing their newest mechanistically killing machines (Mech's) and the ridiculous stockpile of chemical, biological and nuclear weaponry the Reich had available put the world to shame. Many joked that Germany was nothing without Italy or Spain, but the horrific truth was that Germany, in it's current state, would have obliterated anything they would have come across. The Union was almost not even worth a fight, but Russia was nothing more than an annoyance. “Send in our newest “additions”, then gas the entire area if any of them are still alive. Kill them all.”
Rene made a huge mistake with recorders planted across the compound. His message spread to every corner of the world. A naxi messanger approached him saying that franco and mussolini have heard his plans of a european wasteland and would not stand for it. The reich was now alone in this war and slowly being sufficated from all sides. Alexis climbed out of the bunker holding the syringe gun that rene thought was only for him. "Rene, i know your tricks and we have one of your scientists working for us. Soo..." She fired dyringes of red liquid towards the guards and resnove before shooting herself with it.
