Marigold was taken aback as Equestria's leader burst through the doors of the hospital. "Well, I can't say I'm sorry!" She said, getting up and staring the mare in the face. "It's not your duty to meddle in the affairs of us lower class ponies! I don't care what you have planned for him; you're not touching my father!"

Snow was taken aback, "What makes you think that I want to harm him! I am his friend for pony sake! He helped me unify Equestria! He is a peice of history, just like the rest of us!" Snow exclaimed. "Look, I understand that you are protective of your father, especially with him in this state, but trust me, this could save his life!" Snow opened the package to reveal a potion filled with a white liquid, "It's made from a very special flower that I breed a long time ago, well technically my father Trecarius breed it but I perfected it." Snow floated the potion over to Marigold's side and started to leave, "I understand if you don't but please, trust is of virtue and you have to trust me on this. Please, at least tell him I tried." Snow floated another potion over to the clerk, "Make sure everypony that has come in contact with Hibiscus drinks a little of this." and then she left.

Marigold's visage twisted into a scowl as Snow took her leave. "I don't like this." Marigold said to nopony in particular. The clerk was still stunned by the confrontation. "I've heard the rumors. She's been trying to change herself. Change herself into some...some monster." She glanced at the vial of white liquid. It looked harmless enough, but she could feel the power radiating from it. It felt...unnatural. "I won't let her work her poisons into my father." She concluded with conviction. "She shall not change my father into some beast! Even if it did save his life, it wouldn't save his soul. He would no longer be my father." She pocketed the potion. "And I am determined not to let that happen. "

Snow had found her way around the hospital, finding Hibiscus' room with her aura reading spell. After locating him, she wrapped herself in a levitation spell and floated up to the window on the second floor. She could see Hibiscus laying on the bed, chest heaving from a recent coughing fit. She placed her hoof against the window and saw Hibiscus turn towards her. At first he looked shocked, but then grew into understanding as he saw her spell. Though she couldn't talk to him thorough the window, to see him one more time was enough. I tried, she mouthed. I know, he mouthed back before suddenly he went slack, his eyes dulled and Snow's own eyes were suddenly filled with at first sadness then anger. Not at the messenger pony, not Marigold, but herself. In her mind she should have acted sooner, she could have sent the White Hope potion sooner, and he wouldn't have to go through the pain of the illness. She suddenly shot herself of like a catapult and landed in her room in the Presidential Palace, what was to eventually become the Royal Palace ( after renovations of course). Her horn glew brighter than the sun on a hot summer day, which she was staring at with all disregard to her eyes health. She was surrounded in a brilliant multicolored glow, but she was too angry to notice. A flash, and Equestria's history would never be the same. The First Alicorn picked herself up and felt strange, she went inside and saw for the first time what she was. Suddenly thoughts rushed through her head, It is time, I will do it… for Hibiscus!, just to name a few. She would be the ruler of Equestria, even if her own family opposed her! But she would need a new name, wait, her middle name, Celestia! Perfect…

(Two Weeks Later) The now Celestia stood in front of a massive crowd of ponies, of all races, but unicorns tended to be more common. A cloaked pony stood next to her, and on her other side, stood the Grand Council. "A final vote, all in favor of Celestial rule say Aye!" the Grand Council said it almost simulatneously, quickly followed by the crowd. The Head Chairman of the Council nodded to the cloak pony next to Celestia, who levitated out a crown that would adorn her head for the rest of her rule. Celestia bowed to the crowd as it was placed on her head, "You are now recognized as Princess Celestia, Ruler of Equestria!" the crowd went wild, to them it seemed like even now she was being humble to the rest of them, but that was exactly her plan (She also didn't particularly care for the title Queen). Now to deal with any desenters, which would take much longer than she ever thought would.

    (How's THAT for a text wall?:Trollestia:)

The grave sat in front of Marigold, plain and round. At Marigold's request, it had been engraved with the words of how she truly felt about him. The true reason Equesteia was created. None of the other ponies had helped nearly enough as he did. So she had it say for without whom, ee may not live where we do today. Dropping her bag, Marigold began digging at the thin layer of dirt above until she had a well sized hole. She pulled out a single seed that had been in his will for her and dropped it in. The dirt was replaced over the hole, and Marigold shed a single tear to the ground. Both were gone, both taken by the same cruel twist of fate. She was on her own now...alone...

The last surviving member of the Flower family.

Celestia approached Hibiscus' grave just minutes after Marigold had left. She was holding a pot with a brilliant white flower with her magic. She sat down next to Hibiscus' grave, "I'm sorry friend, I, I should have acted sooner. I should have recognized your symptoms from the very beginning, but then again, you know what they say, hindsight is 20/20." a tear fell from her eyes. She planted the White Hope next to Hibiscus' tombstone, which she read, For without whom, we may not live where we do today, Celestia tried to hold back her tears, but the silent sobs escaped her. Her only friend, he was a good pony, well when he wasn't drunk. "You deserve better than just this." she said. Her horn glew, "This was the first spell I ever learned, accelerated growth of plant life." she said shakingly, as if Hibiscus could hear her. Suddenly, she noticed a familiar sprout from in front of Hibiscus' tombstone, "Another White Hope huh? Well, two is better than one, and you know what's better than that Hibiscus? Watch this." as tears rolled down her face, the White Hope blossomed and spread, making a bed of them cover the gravesite, then, the outermost ones started growing extremely tall, intertwining with each other, until finally a dome was formed that had three openings, each one would only see direct light through on this very day, once in the mourning, once at midday, and once at evening. One would highlight the front of his gravestone, the top one illuminate the whole dome, and the final one would provide a backlight to the tombstone. "I know its more than what you would have wanted, but you deserve it Hibiscus." She said as she was leaving. When she turned back to face the dome, it was completely cover in White Hope flowers, "Goodbye, Hibiscus." she said before teleporting away.
