Snow continued to run until she reached a low tree, where she sat, tears quietly going down her face. She looked up to see Saul, "Go back to the meeting, just leave me. I'm a bucking crossbreed, I don't deserve my position." and she looked away with more tears.
Hibiscus stared Cal down fiercely. "Oh no you don't," he warned. "We're solving this while the earth ponies are still around, not while you are telling the others over wine or something." He turned back to the small crowd of earth ponies. "Speaking of wine, does anypony have cider?" he asked. They all shook their heads. "Oh well," he said. "I brought my own anyways." He rummaged through his bag and pulled out a bottle and a wooden cup. After popping open the bottle and filling his cup, he placed the bottle on the side of the table and proceeded to drink his fill. The whispering in the earth pony section got a lot louder, and it was obvious they were unnerved by his actions. "Now then," he said as he put his half-empty cup down. "How do you plan to solve the food problem? You cannot simply tell them to eat less, I know pony nature. None of them would listen to you, even if they agreed."
"Now stop yelling and calm down Hibiscus," said the Pegasus representative, that Cal. Thresh put on her boldest face, and decided to her position to some use...perhaps if she was agreeing with the elder pony, he wouldn't call her out this time? Well, hopefully. So many things could still go wrong, but now was not the time for hesitation. She continued to overanalyze the situation for just a moment more, before finally forcing herself to step forward. "Hibiscus bears the weight of his people. How dare you try and ask him to calm down after he was so blatantly wronged? Is it a crime to feel rage for every Earth Pony who has suffered under the careless brutality of the Pegasi or unicorns?!" It seemed Hibiscus was already talked, though, and the two nearly stumbled over one another. Oh well. It only put more force behind the point.
Ice finishes the amount of snowflakes he had to for the day and looked at a clock and saw there was still time in the meeting that if he went he would catch the end of it so he got out of the facility and spread his wings and flew fast heading towards the meeting house. "Tick-tock tick-tock tick-tock" he muttered to himself just for fun as he flew.
Cal says to himself "this guy just won't quit and i think he might have upset the unicom representative with the yelling". "oh now he's chuging cider i guess he needs to sterilize his nerves". "ugh... i need to hurry up and his friend i think i should question why she's getting into the argument."hmm.... the unicom representatives what the hmm... i might have to have a personal meeting later". "Now Hibiscus whose that other pony who keeps trying to get into the conversation she seems to be angry with how i'm trying to make you calm down"
Thresh was mildly unhappy at the stark reminder of her improper position, but it was too late to step down. "That isn't important. What is important is how these demands are simply growing out of control, your populous is ruining fields, another representative just pitched a fit in the middle of the hall, and you are now trying to get us to take care of your own problems! How dare you place more burdens on Hibiscus!" she shouted, hoping to rally the Earth Ponies. If she was to get anywhere on the social ladder, it wasn't through staying quiet, and backing up Hibiscus felt like the correct thing to do. Hibiscus would lead, of course, but the more pressure on the enemy, the better.
Snow wiped her eyes, "Come on, your stronger than this." she said to herself. She got up and walked back to the meeting, when she re-entered the hall, the pegisi and earth ponies where in the midst of an argument, "Hello everypony. Did I miss anything." She said trying to disparate the situation.
Cal says to himself "im about to go over the edge wheres Ice he should be done by now oh jeeze." "My Earth pony friend we don't know where those two keep hiding they could be in the forests for all we know but they aren't part of our community if they don't live in the city. They are as of thieves that steal and destroy whatever they please"
Ashes followed Snow inside, careless if it was forbidden or not, and sat next to his leader. ''Sorry to bother in this meeting, but i don't care if i do. I ain't a lot in the politics, but we're here to solve problems, and i think i may have a good idea: The unicorns could use their magic to make a barrier from snow and cold over the fields in wich the Earth ponies grow the food, and in return, we could have a pourcentage of the food grown on those protected fields.''
"ah hello unicom representative if i may be so to ask after this meeting may we talk privately for a minute or two i'd like to fill you in on the details of the events you missed"
"If I must." Snow said, before turning to the whole group, "We have a very delicately balanced system here, because without the earth ponies, we would all starve. If the unicorns refused to raise the sun and moon, the crops wouldn't be able to grow properly and the weather also wouldn't work like its supposed to, if the pegisi don't work the weather, the crops fail. We need to recognize, remove one link, and the whole thing falls apart. And we need to start acting like its so."
Thresh looked over at the new arrival, who was talking about snow banks and magic shields all of a sudden. This Unicorn's proposal was sudden and a bit of a non sequitur, which meant one of two things: The stallion was either trying to draw the conversation away from something he didn't want the others to talk about, or he simply hadn't been filled in. She relaxed a little and sat back on her haunches to allow Cal to explain the proceedings- then the results would be clear. This was just getting more complicated all the time, wasn't it? Suddenly three ponies were talking at once, and Thresh tried to listen in on every tangent. This would be a long meeting, wouldn't it?
''Humm... Yeah, Cal, if you want, we'll talk after this meeting.'' Ashes turned to Snow, and whispered to her: ''As i said, i ain't really good at politics. Is there some rules or something i should know about this meeting's procedure?''
Ice opens the door to the meeting hall and trots up beside Cal. "I am Ice the first representative of the Pegasi. I apologize for being late but I also make snowflakes and since winter is on its way we need to craft them." he shouted as he took his place. "thank you Cal for taking my place for a bit care to tell me what all has gone down?" he whispered to Cal.
Snow yawned, "I have duties to attend to at the unicorn castle, so I have to leave. Ashes, come on." And Snow headed out.
Cal whispers "finally your here i was about to lose my mind the Earth pony representatives Hibiscus and the other pony have been going for me all day." "i have a private talk with the unicom's number 1 representative to fill in the holes of details he missed." "and Hibiscus is going nuts because i mentioned Rainbow Factory and the two pegasi i saw steal from him yesterday" "hmm i guess the talk will have to wait till later im just glad it's over"
"Right thank you Cal." he whispered back. He then turns to hibiscus and being quite a tall Pegasi looks down at him. "Right then, so your the one representing the earth ponies today? If memory serves it was most of the earth ponies who voted for rainbows to exist and were in favor for the rainbow factory. And all the Pegasi were against it due to the material needed to make it. As for the food situation we are getting less each shipment if it is because of the Pegasi who destroy crops that really is not a fair act to do to the rest of us." Ice said in a calm yet intimidating voice.

"Hey..." he said in a drunken stupor. "Get back here, I'm not done wish you!" He tried to follow them, but wobbled too much and had to stop in place. Turning back to the earth pony who had continued the rest of the conversation, he said "You there, can you help me get home. I think I had a little bit too much to drink."
