Thresh looked rather confusedly at Ice for his own inquisitive expression. "Do we have any more business to attend to? Or do you have...a plan, or something?" she asked, caught offguard and still a little shocked at herself.
"Not that i know of from my end unless you still have a few things you want to bring up." he responded as he stepped outside.
She could think of a few things...all of which could wait. She felt exhausted and weak, so perhaps the other issues were best saved for another time. The Rainbow Factory, the foot shortages, vandalizing bandits, and some crazy unicorn wanted to put up a snow shield? No, those things would be best saved for later. In the meantime, it was better to have Ice think only of the unicorns, anyways; she didn't go through that whole episode to have it be drowned out by the rest. "No, but perhaps we can talk another day. Soon. There's a lot to talk about in this crazy world," she said, trying to put on her best smile to make the moment less awkward. She trotted away to a nearby fountain and dowsed her face into the water- can't have Hibiscus getting ideas. Oh wait...Hibiscus! She realized she had to find him, the old stallion- he probably wandered off somewhere to lay in the excess of his own cider. He'd have to go his town at least to buy cider, so this shouldn't be an issue, once he was spotted. She groaned nonetheless and walked into along the winding road to go fetch him. What a night, and she still hadn't had dinner!
"Ok yeah that will be fine. If that is all I will be taking my leave" he said as he started to flap his wings and fly away.
Snow looked suspiciously at the food laid out before her, "Where did you get this?" she asked the chef in suspicion. "It's our first attempt at synthetic food!" he said gleefully. Snow looked at the chef almost disgusted, but she had been unable to secure a second food shipment at the previous day's meeting, so desprate times called for desperate measures. She carefully floated a celery stalk towards her, and carefully took a small bite. She instantly spit it out, "That tastes terrible!" she almost yelled. The chef looked disappointed and wheeled the food away. Snow was left disgusted not only at that they would even try to make the food, removing an essential link in the balance, but also from just how awful it tasted.
Ice flew back to Cloud City and looked around for Cal but could not find him so he went back to his house to crash for the night his mind weighed down with many a worry some thought knocking around in his head.
Ashes appeared, exhausted, at the door. ''Heey there, Snow... I'm sorry if you don't like this, but i just ordered the test of synthetic food in the castl and-'' Ashes saw the synthetic food on the table. ''-I think you're already informed.''
"Yea, it tasted terrible as well. Maybe you should consult with me next time. Now, if you will excuse me, I have dutie to attend to, unless you wish to help decide how to ration what little food we have left." Snow said as she left the room.
"hmmm..... it seems someponies in my house *hic*. oh what ever im sure it's somepony know like Ice or Mike no wait Mike doesn't have a key. I only gave a key to *hic* my beloved and Ice so i should expect one of them but i wished i changed out of my Club attire before i came home and fixed my hair oh whatever.
Ashes was desesperate. He wanted to help, and he was a huge problem. Maybe he was trying too much: he decided now to only follow orders, without trying to give solutions who required too much attention. ''sorry, Snow...'', he said, as she was exiting the room.
Snow started out headed for the food storage area, but after glancing over her shoulder making sure she wasn't being followed, she suddenly changed directions, and after going down several halls, ended up in a garden, but this was no ordinary garden for decoration that was common at the castle, this one was practical. Snow walked down the rows of budding barley, wheat, vines, and other food bearing plants. "Maybe y'all need a little help." she said to herself, feeling almost as at home here as raising and lowering the sun and moon. Her horn lit up and the plants were surrounded by a white magic aura. After a little while, the plants had grown tall and already starting to fruit. A small smile crept across her face as she laid down on a blanket in the peaceful garden and began humming an old earth pony tune that her father had taught her oh so very long ago.
"huh no pony home i guess i forgot to lock my door or i just left it open. Ah whatever i loosened up a lot last night i guess i'll visit Ice later at his place.But for now i need to take a snooze and get refreshed"
Ice arrives at his home and falls on his bed and falls asleep instantly since clouds are so comfortable.
After Ashes made sure he was alone, he went outside, and let his body fly up in the wind in a swirl of ashes, and went to the Earth ponie's fields to see how the growing up was advancing. Since he didn't knew if his suggestions has been approven or not, he decided not to touch anything, and simply get informed of the food's incoming status. He wasn't a farmer pony, but the simple fact of the ice covering the crops was enough to make him take a deep breath. How will he find some eatable, real food for all the unicorns? Maybe he should pay some Earth ponies to grow some food inside a special room in the castle? Or should he help making some edible synthetic food in the labs? Only one thing was sure: If he does nothing to help, the unicorns will starve to death.
Hibiscus stopped outside a wooden home with plain windows and paint. It was a bit bigger than his own farm house. "I do believe this is Tricarius's house..." he said to himself. Walking up to the door, he knocked three times and waited. While he waited for somepony to answer, he straightened himself to present himself better. The last time he saw Tricarius, he was boozed out of his mind. Best not to keep impressions that way.
"AH oh freaking hangover dreams why must you torment me.Cal walks to mirror and notices his eyes are bloodshot "woah my eyes are pretty bloodshot"."Man do i look like a wreck or what". "i'll keep my mane the way it is and wear what i have now im to hung over to do anything for now". I guess i'll take a walk around town to try to get Sober."
In a last sigh over the iced crops, Ashes let himself been blown by the wind to the earth ponie's town, to see if something could distract him from the unicorn's problem. He solidified himself in a parc, and removed his horn to look like an Earth Pony. He then enjoyed a walk around town, trying to find something funny, or... Joyfull.
Tricarius opened his door to see the drunk from down the road looking at him, "What do you want? If you need money for more cider, I ain't giving you a cent." he said almost bitterly, but it wasn't from the fact that he hated drunks, it was more from that he hadn't heard from his daughter in a long time. Of course he couldn't say that, it would strange, it would only complicate things more than they are. "I'm sorry, didn't mean to come across that way, so whatcha here for?"
Cal walks for an hour still hungover as ever "well this isn't doing anything i think i need to go further"."On to the tribal paths but i don't want to go to far on them or i'll be trespassing"."Although i don't think i can fly. I'll try though" Cal spreads his wings and takes off."Ok now land on the beginning of the path deep breaths and phew i made it by some miracle i flew hungover."
