Robin nodded towards the others. "you know, being a mare isn't as bad as I thought. Anyway they won't be expecting Arvak Solari seeing as they are said to have died out ages ago. Finally seeing as I'm now a mare, I guess I'll go by golden arrow. To match my new gender and mane/tail".
"I am sorry Crimson, but it is my duty to protect the Night Princess. I failed in that task one thousand years ago. I will NOT fail her again. My place is at her side." Luna whispered a single word into Silver's ear, and his face drained of color. "Princess! No! Not after all that has happened..." Silver turned to the rest of his team. "It would seem that Princess Luna will not be taking part in this fight, after all..." Behind him, Princess Luna began to change. In a flash of Dark magic, Luna was gone. In her place stood the creature that had haunted the nightmares of Equestria for one thousand years. Silver smiled. "Allow me to introduce the Princess of Darkness, Nightmare Moon."
Crimson immediately bowed towards Nightmare Moon. Even through he was loyal directly to Celestia, he served out of respect for royalty of any sort. "It's a pleasure to meet you Nightmare Moon." Crimson said. He then looked at Ocean who then stood next to Celestia and whispered something in her ear. The sun princess laughed as she then quietly mentioned something about Crimson. Another explosion then rocked the area, this time targeting the Everfree. The smoke from the burning trees could be seen for miles and the civilians began to panic. The Ardak Luvanius were beginning to come closer. Ocean then looked at Silver. "If you feel it is right to fight alongside Nightmare Moon, you may do so." she said. "Make sure you keep her safe..." Another guard then came in with an update on the events. "Princess, four Alicorn have arrived into the city. The completely wiped out the Guards protecting the front gate and are simply walking towards the Castle." Celestia then thought about her next plan carefully. She knew that Ardak Luvanius only cared about the Princess's themselves and would keep the guards alive but injured. "Delay them as long as you can, but keep your distance." The guard then saluted then ran off out of the temple. "Get ready. We don't get another chance at this."
"That explosion... came from the Everfree Forest." Silver's eyes glowed menacingly, and an expression of pure, murderous rage darkened his face. "This has gone far enough. Night Princess, with your permission, I would like very much to go and MURDER THESE FOALS!!!"
"Look's like your wish will come true quicker then expected." Celestia said as all eyes turned around towards the door. All four of the Ardak Luvanius stood there, with a newly revived Sollus holding a guards body over him. With a new horn and restoration of his previous power, he threw the guard into the wall killing him. They stood in a line directly looking thowards the Princess's and the squad. From left to right the Ardak Luvanius were. Caesar “The Imperial”: The first of what would become the Ardak Luvanius, a brilliant leader who united many empires under his rule and conquered many others along the way. While he isn’t the strongest, his sheer charisma would put the Princess’s to shame. He was brought back from the dead by Plague. Sollus: “The Patriot”: Now having his horn and magic power restored, Sollus is the weakest out of the Ardak Luvanius. However, he is still strong enough to take out even the strongest Unicorn wizards and armies. Midnight Dawn or Dark Plague: “The Emperor”: The strongest magic user in history, former student of Celestia and Celestia’s own child. In sheer power alone, Plague is in a whole different league when compared to the Ardak Luvanius and magic users everywhere. When Celestia seen him as a threat to the throne and his safety, Celestia ordered the executions of almost every Alicorn in the known world. Outraged, Plague responded in kind by wiping out entire cities with his own magic created army. He then fought the entire royal family and almost won when Celestia froze him in stone. Escaping several times, he is the de facto leader of the Ardak Luvanius. And Summer Darkness: “The Student”: Although she is the first female Ardak Luvanius, she has never been heard of or mentioned in historical text. However, her power is extremely impressive even in Alicorn standards. While Celestia herself didnt know of any other Ardak Luvanius, she froze in fear at the sight of her own son. “Hello mother. Now that you have outstayed your welcome, get out my house....” Plague said. “Hello Midnight. Your kind deserve to be destroyed, you serve as a threat to life everywhere and you have even been bold enough to step foot in the palace knowing that your defeat will be soon.” Celestia said. Plague then looked at disgust at his mother. “I don’t talk to murderer’s.....”
Silver laughed derisively at the creatures that had entered the palace. "Whoever you are, you just made the last mistake that you will ever make. You harmed my forest, killed my subordinates, and now you dare threaten the Night Princess? Insolent foal! Witness the true power of the night! Silver had seen Nightmare Moon use her Dark powers hundreds of times. He was able to imitate them with very little effort. Silver transformed himself into a cloud of Dark energy, and flew rapidly at Sollus. A split-second before colliding, Silver returned to pony-form and drew his swords. The enchanted blades cut though through Sollus' flesh like a hot knife through butter. He examined his blades. The were dripping with Sollus' blood. "If it bleeds, it can die. Let us begin."
Robin (now golden arrow) stepped from the shadows. "Calm down, silver. At least for a minute. Arvak lunaris. most powerful alicorn race, up until now seeing as the Arvak Solari have returned".
Sollus looked at his blood as it came rushing down his body and watched it disappear as it began to regenerate at amazing speeds, much faster then it previously was. He smiled as he watched the smile on Silvers face drop. Celestia looked at the rest of her squad and gave them instructions. "Me,Silver and my sister will take Midnight. Crimson and Ocean will handle Sollus, Kaisar and the mare." Celestia then looked at Robin, or Golden as he/she is known as now. "You need to help protect Crimson and Ocean and help face them off." Plague and the rest of the Ardak Luvanius overheard their conversation and just looked at each other nodding. "We just want to deal with the Princess, then we will be on our way. And if you want to challenge us, then my fellow colleagues here will face your....champions outside." Kaisar said. And like that Crimson,Golden and Ocean went outside to begin their battle. Even the Ardak Luvanius have standards to follow what their rules of challenging an opponent. Once they had left, the two sisters and Silver stood face to face against the strongest thing any of them had ever faced. A demi-god created by Celestia. "So this is it mother. Somepony is not going to leave this room alive, and i assure you that it will not be me. And it looks like you have Nightmare Moon and her champion to see if they can join in on this charade. So, that's your plan? You send the Arvak Solari to try and defeat us and kill all of us with their powers. That's funny almost, because when you betrayed me and committed an almost complete genocide of the Alicorn race you had my powers restricted and i still managed to defeat the entire royal family. However...." Plague then teleported when Celestia blinked behind her back and returned back to the spot he was standing when she blinked. "Can you beat me this time when i now actually have a chance to fight back?
As they stepped into the royal gardens. Golden nodded at crimson and ocean. "Ready, then let's do this". Golden then did the first move as a golden aura surrounded the three champions. Boosting their defences.
Silver had regained his calm. "Midnight Dawn, is it? You have come here to kill Celestia, and you have certainly earned the right of vengeance. If it were my decision to make, I would gladly stand aside and allow you to destroy her. However, the Night Princess wishes for Celestia to live. I will not allow you to harm her."
Plague looked at Sliver and started to grumble and began to speak. "You follow a pair of mass murderers, they commited such an act against the Alicorn's as they seen it a threat to the throne. They are none to more, greedy arrogant and violent then the rest of us. As you are a Lunar Pegasi, you follow the Night Princess unquestionably and almost like zealot's. Her sister Celestia needs to abdicate from the throne or die. If she abdicates, then no blood will be shed today. If she doesnt, then the Celestian Dynaty will be destoryed..."
"BLOOD HAS ALREADY BEEN SHED TODAY! THOU HAST GONE TOO FAR, NEPHEW! OUR SISTER WILL NEVER SURRENDER TO YOU!" Nightmare Moon's rage shook the castle itself. Silver was shocked. He had never seen the Night Princess so furious. "I stand with the Princesses. If you wish to take the crown, then you must earn the right to wear it. Your power is undeniable, but do you have the skill to defeat all three of us?"
Plague laughed softly before speaking. "Earn the right he said... They promised me something more beautiful then Equestria, more beautiful then Canterlot and more beautiful than the Angels beside me. You know nothing of the pain that they caused me when they sent their soldiers to secretly commit genocide on innocent hooves, hooves who had done nothing wrong on this planet and hooves that could have changed history. You call yourself the best of the best, being controlled by these puppets. The blood that has been shed was to justify her crimes. Eight hundred years of being imprisoned and being forgotten about does nothing when you know that the ones you put your entire faith, your childhood and love into betrayed you by attempting to kill you and everything that made you who you are..." Plague spoke. Celestia started to tear up but still maintained her anger. "Midnight, i had to kill them. They posed a threat thowards our rule, im was sorry that-" "YOU LIE!" Plague bellowed. "YOU COMMITED MURDER IN COLD BLOOD, THE LIVES OF HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS ARE ON YOUR HANDS. YOU ALMOST WIPED OUT YOUR OWN KIND, AND NOW THE VENGEANCE OF THE FALLEN ONES WILL BECOME JUSTIFIED. BY THE POWER INVESTED IN ME, THE ARDAK LUVANIUS AND THE REST OF THE ALICORN RACE, YOU WILL DIE TODAY!" Plague continued. Nightmare Moon looked towards Silver, terrified. "My nephew is not as weak as he looks. He is at least a hundred or maybe a thousand times stronger then we would be at full power. I honestly don't know if we could harm him or even touch him."
"Princess, with all due respect, you underestimate yourself greatly. I have witnessed the dark powers of Nightmare Moon. I was there when you discovered those powers. If you have truly forgiven your sister, if you truly wish to keep her alive, then you MUST trust in your own abilities. This is a battle that we can win. This is a battle that we WILL win. But first..." Before Plague could react, Silver grabbed Celestia and Nightmare Moon and smashed through one of the throne room windows. As they soared into the cold night air, Silver called out to the enraged Alicon below. "...Catch us if you can!" The sky was Silver's domain. Luring Plague into an aerial battle would give Silver the edge that he needed to win the fight. He let go of both princesses and, together, the trio turned to face the castle below.
As Celestia and Nightmare Moon escaped with Robin. Plague looked at Silvers position, whom he could see for miles away and laughed. As the two princesses looked behind them to see if Plague was following them, they seen another figure reaching supersonic speeds in front of them and smashed directly into Silver. It was Plague, he managed to do an afterimage maneuver before they left the castle. "Fine. I'll just have to silence you first." The sheer force of the impact managed to break Silvers ribcage as he was catapulted into the castle below. Just inches before Silver could hit the floor, he was caught by Plague and thrown into a wall before he was assaulted with a barrage of punches. The force and speed was more then enough for Silver to handle as he was beaten and tossed around like a rag doll. Nightmare Moon and Celestia watched in horror as they watched him get destroyed swiftly by Plague. Nightmare Moon then decided that enough was enough and joined in the battle. --------------------------------------------------------------- Crimson and Ocean began to charge up as they made the first strike against the Ardak Luvanius. Crimson took on Kaisar while Ocean took on Summer, leaving Golden to face Sollus. The shockwaves could be felt for miles as they began their ferocious battle that would change the world...
Golden redrew the energy from the protective spell as she formed it into a beam of pure golden arcane energy and launched it at sollus.
Nightmare Moon was enraged. A powerful blast of dark magic shot from her horn, striking Plague and sending him smashing into to the ground. He recovered quickly, and flew towards the Night Princess, intent on destroying her. As he reached her, she transformed herself into an ethereal cloud of dark magic, and Plague's attack passed completely through, harmless. Far below, a voice called out to Plague. "That was an impressive display. You just forgot about one thing..." Silver's body glowed with magic. Within seconds, his wounds had healed. "...I can heal, too."
"Glad to see that you finally recognize your ability's. The Princesses have become more powerful then last time we fought, so that is an added bonus. But all good story's must eventually come to an end..." Plague released a tiny portion of his power for this stage which was enough to raze a city to it's foundation and rushed towards Celestia. Before she could react, Plague teleported directly in front of her and fired a concentrated beam of magic straight through her chest. Nightmare Moon looked around to look for Plague only to see her sister lose a very large amount of blood and collapsing onto the ground. "SISTER, NO!" Nightmare Moon had never been so angry in her life. She flew towards Plague screaming and tried to punch him as hard as she could. Once they both made contact, a shock wave destroyed most of the castle and sent Silver flying back. Once the dust had cleared, she was shocked to see that Plague had effortlessly blocked it behind his back without even looking at her. Plague then turned around still holding Nightmare Moon's hoof and flicked her in the head, sending her across the main chamber and crashing onto Silver. "Look at you... holding onto dear life itself and gasping for air. But im not going to let you go yet. Only when you have experienced my pain, then you have my permission to die." ------------------------------------------------------- Sollus seen the arrow from a fair distance away, and he dodged it and created two large axes using some of his magic and charged towards Golden. Ocean was having trouble keeping up with the amazingly quick Summer but still gaining the upper hand while Crimson was going hoof to hoof against Kaisar. Crimson and Kaisar were floating inches above the ground as their blows created a crater below them as their attacks became faster and stronger.
Silver carefully lifted Nightmare Moon's unconsious body off of his own, and laid her gently on the floor beside the mortally wounded Celestia. Slowly, he turned to face Plague. His face showed no emotion, and he spoke quietly. "I had felt pity for you, so I held back. I had hoped that you could be made to see reason. However... I realize now that I was mistaken. You have harmed the Night Princess. By the ancient laws of Equestria, your punishment shall be death." Silver drew his swords, and with a blast of magical energy, ignited them. Fed by his own power, the flames burned hotter than a dragon's fire. Silver could see that Plague was unimpressed. However, Plague had failed to realize one very important thing. "Plague, you are clearly stronger than I am. However..." In an intant, Silver launched himself into the sky. A sonic boom shook the sky as he flew at his enemy. In less then a second, Silver had reached Plague, and was driving his fiery blades towards the the Ardak Luvanis' throat. "...I am MUCH faster than you, foal."
