He squinted at her. "What? Why?" *** She took a breath, watching him. "So.. You can turn into a giant wolf." *** He rolled his eyes. "You didn't recognize my face."
"I don't know why you had a button-up shirt on under that Latex. Wasn't it uncomfortable?" * * * He laughed slightly. "Yes," he replied with a nod. * * * "I was a little focused on the giant snake body, sir."
He waved it off. "I am a professional." *** She nodded slowly. "I.. I was really worried about you. I'm glad you're okay." *** "Excuses, excuses."
She laughed again, starting down the road. That fuzziness in his brain stirred up again, soothing his mind. "Okay. If you say so." * * * He looked down at her, his brows furrowed. "You were worried?" * * * She rolled her eyes. "Come on."
He glanced over at her, looking thoughtful. *** "You were really hurt," she said slowly, looking down at her hands. "I healed you." *** He nodded, following her.
She was running her fingers through her hair with her left hand as she drove, her elbow resting on the windowsill and her right hand perched on top of the wheel. Her lips weren't painted red today, instead staying their natural rosy pink that matched her wind-nipped cheeks. * * * "You healed me," he replied with a small nod. "Now we're even, right?" * * * She got out to her car and buckled herself in, sighing a little. "To the shop?"
He relaxed, looking ahead again with a small smile. *** She shook her head, raising an eyebrow at him. "Nope. We never had dinner since I was kidnapped before I could make it." *** He got in as well, folding his hands politely. "I think I'm gonna go to my apartment and just.. sleep. For awhile."
She pulled up to an unassuming building, glancing over her shoulder as she parked. "Okay. Let's take him in." * * * "I missed your spaghetti. That's not a big deal." * * * She looked over at him sympathetically. "How'd he get to you?"
He nodded, getting out and opening the door. *** "Hm. Fine then. Go home and eat dinner by yourself." *** He shrugged slightly. "I wasn't quite expecting to be attacked to blatantly. It's a new experience."
She helped him take the person out, squinting. "Okay. Let's get him inside. Can you take the head? It creeps me out." * * * He sighed sadly. "As always." * * * "Did he just... I don't know. Knock on the door?"
He laughed, taking the head. "It's a little creepy.." *** She tilted her head at him. "Then come with me." *** Adonis looking thoughtful before nodding. He had a naive expression. "Yeah, pretty much."
"And you get to lift it," she replied primly, picking up his feet and nudging the door closed with her hip. * * * He squinted before relenting. "Fine. Lead the way." * ** She laughed out loud. "And that worked?"
He rolled his eyes playfully, heading in. *** She grinned, starting off. "Now I can check a few things off my bucket list. Petting a wolf, getting kidnapped by an ex, getting turned to stone. All fun things." *** "Well how do you answer the door?"
(Zoop?) * * * "You should," he replied. "Not everyone gets to see me as a giant wolf." * * * "With a gun," she answered immediately. "At all times."
(Yoop!) *** "And now it's been twice. You even let me pet you! That was terrifying and amazing." *** He seemed surprised. "That might be a bit.. much. "
They came out a couple hours later, the world around them having gotten significantly darker. Beck stretched, yawning. "That was a lot of paperwork..." she muttered, frowning. * * * "I did?" he asked curiously, tilting his head. * * * "I'm joking," she said smoothly. "What's your address?"
Levy tipped his head back to look at the sky before looking over at her. "Want to get something to eat?" *** She looked over at him. "Yeah?" *** "362 Sparrow street. Thank you for helping me."
She glanced over at him, pursing her lips. "Maybe. What were you thinking?" * * * He seemed confused by this. "No one lets me pet them. Well... I mean, Gwen, of course..." * * * "Of course, even though you did just try to kill everyone."
He shrugged. "Something easy." *** She tilted her head at him curiously. "Really? You seemed nice to me." *** He frowned, looking at the ground. "I didn't mean to."
She considered him for a moment and that fuzziness twitched. "Alright. Fast food?" * * * This seemed to confuse him even more. "I did?" * * * She glanced over at him before tilting her head. "It wasn't you. Don't worry."
