She paused before giving him a grin. "Your best is that you're gentle," she replied, resting her head on her hand. "You're gentle even when people don't deserve it." * * * "I know. Also, it's definitely haunted."
She laughed slightly, looking back down at her plate. * * * "Anyhoo," he said casually, turning to head back. "Sleep well!"
"Now for you," he said thoughtfully, watching her. "I think your worst trait is that you tend to get quite stubborn on things you believe aren't true, even if they are." *** She rolled her eyes. "Goodnight, then."
He grinned. "I know. Your best trait is.. hm. There's a lot of options. I think you're very collected and calm, most often." *** She nodded, going into the room.
She paused, considering him. “Nous sommes un et le même,” she said, standing up and taking their plates. *** (Zoop?)
"Uh huh. Sure. Let me help you with that." *** (Yoop!) In the midst of the night, Veronica was looking around the unwelcoming, dark room. She hesitated, sliding out from under the covers and going to look for Gideon.
“I got it,” she said lightly. “Don’t worry.” *** Gideons room was open. He was asleep on top of the covers, muttering to himself.
"Are you sure? I don't want to be a bother." *** She approached quite hesitantly, leaning on the bed. "Gid?"
“You’re never a bother, Mr. Audra,” she said. “Don’t worry.” *** He muttered slightly, turning into his side.
He tilted his head. "Yes? You don't have to be so formal with my name." *** She seemed hesitant, looking back at the door. "I don't like that room," she whispered quietly.
"I am your assistant," she replied cautiously. "Levy is not only your first name, but it's a nickname." * * * He laughed sleepily, still pretty out of it, before he raised the sheets, in front of him, inviting her in.
She frowned, still looking nervous. "Who else calls you Levy?" * * * He slipped his toned arms around her waist, his eyes already closed again. "Better?" he mumbled sleepily.
"My friends do." *** She was surprised, taking in the details of their proximity. The way his arms felt, his smell, his expression. "Better.."
She laughed slightly, turning to look at him. "Am I your friend?" * * * He nodded sleepily. "I warned you that the room was drafty..."
