She gave him another smile, tucking his hair behind his ear for a moment before kissing his cheek lightly. "I should go home..." * * * He looked confused. "Why'd you do that?"
"See you soon," she replied, unlocking her car and getting in. * * * He squinted, tilting his head. "Then why are you sorry?"
That Friday at the end of the workday, Beck was frowning, scratching some things off a list. * * * His hand reached down and he tipped her head back and kissed her.
Levy came out of his office, taking his coat. "Beck?" *** She kissed him back in surprise, remaining still.
She looked up at him, tucking her hair behind her ear. "Yes?" * * * He pulled away, frowning. "Do I taste like bacon?"
"Let me know when you're ready to go?" *** She laughed slightly, shaking her head. "Not that I can taste."
She tilted her head. "Are we leaving from here?" * * * "Oh, good," he said, his shoulders sagging with relief. "That'd be embarrassing."
He pursed his lips. "We could. Or we could meet later." *** She observed him, her head tilting slightly before she kissed him again, her hand on his jaw.
She paused, tilting her head. "Well... where are we going?" * * * He kissed her back, his hand resting on her waist.
"I was thinking Italian. There's this place I know that's really good." *** She pulled away, her eyes wide. ".. You're pretty cute."
She nodded slowly, looking thoughtful. "Okay. Then, if we don't have a reservation to make, let's meet an hour after work. Is that okay?" * * * "You have a thing for guys that can turn into dogs?"
He nodded. "That sounds good. See you then?" *** She squinted, pulling away and folding her arms. "No. I like you as a human."
"Hm. How fancy should I be?" she asked playfully, resting her head on her hand. * * * "You gave me bacon as a dog."
