She frowned slightly, sitting up in bed. “Are you sore at all?” *** He drove through a Starbucks, getting both of them a peppermint hot chocolate.
She frowned, brushing the hem of his shirt. “Can I see?” *** He passed her the hot chocolate and a cake pop. “I’m worried that you’re gonna catch a cold.”
He lifted his shirt, revealing two small scars. *** She smiled at him adoringly. "I'll be alright. Let's just head home."
She paused before leaning down, kissing his chest gently. * * * He nodded, taking off down the street.
She paused, glancing up at him. "Kissing your chest. I'm surprised that made you blush." * * * They pulled into his parking lot and he turned off the car.
She pulled away instantly, her fingers taking the hem of his shirt and covering him again. "Oh. I'm sorry, Lev." * * * "You ready to go in?" he asked.
"I don't normally eat breakfast," she said primly. "I normally just drink coffee." * * * Gideon set his keys on the counter, closing the door behind them.
"We could have eggs." *** She pursed her lips as she followed him in, simply observing. After a moment she came over at hugged him.
"Do you want eggs?" she asked, looking down at him. She seemed a little subdued. * * * He looked down in surprise before hugging her back.
She paused, looking down at him uncertainly. "What was that for?" * * * "Hm. I really like you too, Sparky. Let's go back to sleep, okay?"
