He frowned. "What are you afraid of?" *** She looked up at him. "You will teach me to be a great ice skater."
She paused before giving him a small smile. "Nothing." * * * "I have taught many," he agreed. "I am somewhat of a legend."
"Yes, being fearless is awfully unfair to mortals, but I can't help it." * * * He pouted. "You're making this too easy."
She gave a playful shrug before heading for the door back into the apartment building. * * * "How dare you?"
He followed her. "That's myserious." *** She laughed as they approached the rink. "You'll have to prove me wrong."
"I'm scared of very little," she replied as they entered her apartment. * * * "Alright. I'll be right back, okay?"
She gave him a grin. "I'm the one training you." * * * He went up to the front desk, speaking quietly and paying for two pairs of ice skates.
He sighed with a small smile. "Fine." *** She took them. "Thank you. I'm excited to see your skills."
"So, I do have to rethink my plans to train you," she said after a moment. "You don't need combat help." * * * "Well, hold on," he protested. "I never said I was very talented."
She considered him before a smile crossed her lips. "Adonis," she said primly, folding her hands. "What's your romantic life like?" * ** "Just like my parents. You're never satisfied!"
He blinked, looking over at her with a small flush. "What?" *** She paused, looking over at him. "..Oh?"
She tilted her head, studying him carefully. "You heard me. Romantic history." * * * He shook his head, laughing slightly. "That was a joke. Come on, let's skate."
