(Yoop!) Adonis knocked on Gwen's door. *** After dinner, they had settled on the couch to watch a movie, the dishes washed and lights dim.
She opened it, looking a little less excited than she had been in previous days. "Hey, Adonis. Come on in." * * * He was sitting next to the arm, leaning back slightly. "What do you want to watch?"
He tilted his head slightly, coming in. "Hey. Are you feeling okay?" *** She was leaning against him, her head tilted up. "What genre do you like?"
She waved him off, leaning against the counter. "I'm alright. I just caught a bug." * * * "Uh," he hesitated. "Comedy? Drama? I don't watch a lot of movies, to be honest."
He looked worried, watching her. "We don't have to train today if you're not feeling well." *** She nodded slowly, going to pick a movie. "Comedy works."
She shook her head. "No. It's important that we train." She was interrupted by a bout of coughing, having her shrink slightly as she coughed into her arm. * * * "Do you have a favorite?"
He came over with a frown. "A day won't matter. Can I make you some tea?" *** "No, not that I can think of," she said, slipping her arm behind his back and around his waist. "Do you?"
“Adonis, I’m fine,” she complained weakly. *** He kissed the top of her head gently. “Let’s just look around.”
He rolled his eyes, going to get tea anyways. "Let me help.." *** She nodded, scrolling through the movies.
She frowned before relenting. “You don’t have to do that... we could just skip today...” *** “What about a tv show?”
She frowned at him. "You..." She sighed, sitting on the couch. "Adonis..." * * * "Sitcoms are funny," he said, kissing her head.
He looked over at her with a hopeful expression. *** She tilted her head in consideration before putting on a sitcom.
She was resting her head on the back of the couch before she sighed. "God. Fine." * * * He looked down at her. "Is this what you wanted?"
He brightened, continuing with the tea. "Great. Thank you." *** She returned the gaze, her expression gentle. "Yeah. It's perfect."
She squinted at him, resting her head on her hand. "You're thanking me?" * * * He gave her a shy smile before kissing her again, his hand on her jaw.
