She smiled at his back. "At least I have that." *** He chuckled. "Well, I had a place in mind, but I wanted to make sure. Do you like Italian?"
He laughed slightly, making more food. "Please, eat. I don't want your food to get cold." * * * She rested her head on him, giving him a small smile. "I do."
He came back and joined her at the table a few minutes later. "How's your head?" * * * She laughed lightly, watching him affectionately. "At six," she confirmed. "On a scale of one to ten, how much do I need to dress up for you?"
"I'd imagine," he said sympathetically. "Do you want an Advil?" He moved, going to stand up. * * * She laughed again, raising an eyebrow. "What's a one and what's a ten?"
She reached out and caught his hand. "No, I'm alright. Don't worry." *** "One would be.." he paused, trailing off before his eyes widened. "Wait! I have a better idea. I'll pick you up at 8 pm. Wear pajamas and bring a blanket," he said, starting towards the door. "I have some errands to run."
He frowned, looking down at her. "Are you sure?" * * * She beamed, watching him with a delighted air of surprise. "Oh... okay...!"
He squinted before sitting back down slowly. "...okay..." * * * She couldn't seem to stop smiling at him. "See you tomorrow. Eight o'clock."
She squinted at him before getting up. "Where are the cups?" *** (YØÔP) The next day, there was a knock on her door.
"I can get you a glass," he said, standing up as well. * * * Gwen opened the door, wearing her pajamas.
"Ben," she said, squinting at him, almost moving as if to block his path, "I'm gonna get it myself." *** Adonis was there, wearing pajamas as well, he had a bright grin on his face. "Ready to go?"
"Well, jokes on you," he said, moving swiftly past her. "You don't know where the glasses are." * * * She brightened, grabbing her bag and turning off the lights. "I am. What are we doing?"
She glared, moving to wrap her arms around him. "No!" *** He smiled playfully. "You'll see when we get there. Let's go."
"Just let me do this, you goof," he said, picking her up playfully. * * * She locked the door behind her and followed him, looking very curious.
"I can do it myself," she said stubbornly. *** They went outside. He parked his truck nearby and opened the door for her.
"Just this once! Then you can get it yourself next time." * * * She thanked him, climbing up to her seat.
