The UN plane arrived at the Warsaw Chopin Airport several hours later, the airport being fortified like an enormous fortress if Western Europe decided to invade the city. Luckily for them, full-blown war hasn't occurred yet and due to Western Europe's embarrassing defeat by Millennium, it might not happen all together. It was almost midnight, and Warsaw shined like an island oasis in a former Europe that lived under a sea of chaos.
As the VTOL recovered and landed in Warsaw, Yīng uncuffed Aengima. "Stay here for a bit, I will distract Millennium. You must either cripple them or kill the leader. He walked off with his security team and began heading off towards the Jablonowski Palace...
Aenigma rubbed his wrists. He was surprised that they let some unknown mercenary free. He followed his orders, and cloaked to conceal himself from any potential onlookers. He turned off the safeties on his Type 54, and lied in waiting.
Something soon came up on the sensors inside of the palace, and the Black Guard instantly mobilized to protect Sorokin. Assassin or not, nothing would even come close to touching Sorokin. And then there was the matter of Millenniums leader, a leader who could actually fight back. Whatever the attempts of violence against him, it would not end well.
The bomb went off, taking anything that was within its range. Luckily, the civilian ships were away, heading to the new town. But there was one transport that was caught in the shockwave, the helicopter carrying the cargo from the ruins. -One hour after collision- Allan woke up, face down in sand. He got up seeing the destruction of the chopper, there were no survivors but him. He went around the scraps gathering what food he could, luckily for him, he had five shells for his shotgun, although he didn't have much energy for his laser lining machete. He looked into the distance, seeing nothing but sand all around him. He was caught in a storm, unable to see any further than what he could. He gathered the dog tags from the dead soldiers, stuffing them in a small pouch. He was in for a long walk.
The two agents had ran inside, closing the door quickly behind them. The giant had got up, and looked at Sorokin. "I suggest, if you wish to stay alive, that you be accompanied by my men and I..." The two men pulled out pistols with silencers attached, Adrian merely opening his coat, revealing a bandolier armed with numerous antique throwing knives, each made of single pieces of black steel. He also had pulled out another antique knife, this one very similar to a scalpel, but nonetheless cutlery. He motioned at the two men, who opened up their cuts and pulled out gas-masks, which both put on, whilst Adrian himself put on an old German gas-mask from the Second World War, a rare antique. "Prepare for anything, Mr. Sorokin. You must adapt to survive."
Aenigma looked at the palace and turned on his thermal vision. A team of about 10 soldiers was moving to intercept the security team, with more setting up defensive measures incase of failure. It would take some serious planning to take that down. He turned on his comm device. "Inspector, I have a plan. Try to find a large system of vents or some sort of central Air Conditioning Unit. If you can pull that off, the most effective gas attack in history will be pulled off right here."
Yīng nodded as he and the team reached the door, knowing Aenigma was watching them from elsewhere. He knocked on the door before getting out his badge. "UN Inspector. You are hereby subject to an inspection." ----- Luckily most of the US Army was away from the blast and what causalities there were was light. Drones were sent out to search the entire crater zone before picking up a crashed helicopter and with a warm trail footsteps leaving it. APCs were immediately mobilized on hot on the trail within minutes.
Sorokin only nodded as he tookout his Model 500 revolver, spinning around his finger expertly before pressing a button on his right gauntlet, activating a gas mask that seemed to materialize over his entire head. "So...they wish to remove the good that has been done. Savages..." he said before nodding to his Black Guard, who were also equipping their masks and taking out their weaponry.
The giant nodded to one of his men, who took a two-way radio from his coat and spoke in a language unknown to many people, created by Adrian himself, a mixture of the German and Russian language, into the radio. "Ignite the ring." In a matter of moments, the number of buildings around the area had burst, a vibration creeping through that part of Warsaw. The man who talked into the radio spoke. "I hope you didn't have any friends too close..."
"I didn't really" Sorokin responded in English. "Any family that I once had was killed during the incident, then hunted by the West because of my leadership position of Millennium. I'm alone, but I don't seem to mind."
The tall man chuckled as he put his fist through the window, then proceeded to rip a large hole so that he himself would be able to get out, as he reached out with his big hand, and jumped out, holding onto a ledge by his single hand. He picked himself up with his single hand, using his long arms to get to the roof of the building. One of the other men followed him, the other waving his hand, letting Sorokin go out first. "You best go out next. You might be good, but right now, it's best you stay alive." He trained his pistol towards the door, just in case. The Initiated of the Brotherhood were trained to adapt, trained to be evolved, to be able to be prepared for anything...
Yīng and his team were already clear of the door way by the time the explosions went off and had taken cover around the courtyard, barely being rocked by explosions. "If you have a plan, do it NOW." he yelled over his radio to Aenigma.
The ring of buildings erupted into flames. "What the hell?!" Aenigma heard Ying through the radio. "On it. Tell your men to put on gas masks when I give the queue." Aenigma ran through the burning buildings, the smoke not harming him do to his gas mask. He got to a blind spot in the palace wall, and planted a block of C4. He backed away, and detonated the charge, opening a hole in the side off the wall. The hole led to a boiler room. He turned his thermal vision back on, and followed the pipes in the wall. If he knew the layouts of buildings well enough, the pipes would lead to a central air conditioning unit. His plan was to replace the coolant in the AC with a deadly gas, which would kill anyone not wearing proper protection. If the leader of Millenium got out in time, he would intercept him at the emergency exit with sniper fire. His intuition was correct. He was at the central AC unit, which was conveniently hooked up to the vent system. The place was lightly guarded too. He cloaked, put a suppressor on his Black Star, and shot two guards. He ripped off the cover to the inner workings of the AC, which was located below a control panel, and found a small vial of blue, cold liquid. He pulled it out, emptied it, and poured in some poison in the coolant's place. He repeated this with the other units. He restarted the AC. However, something came to his attention. There was an AI that monitored what was being put into the AC. "Attempted Bio-Attack detected. Unauthorized personnel in the AC Room." Said the AI over the intercom. "Damn it. I only have a couple minutes before reinforcements come... I might be able to over ride the block to get the poison moving again." He contacted Ying again. "I made a mistake. I didn't check for scanners on the AC, and members of the Black Guard are being dispatched to the AC Room. I'm going to need you to buy some time for me to override the air filters in the vents. Go intercept those guards."
As Aenigma tried to buy some time, an enormous 50. calibre round tore through the kneecap of the attacking enemy that would have sent Aenigma directly to the ground. Walking through the flames almost casually, Sorokin was spinning his revolver like it was a toy before suddenly aiming it at Aenigma's head. "And to whom do I owe the pleasure?" Sorokin replied. "You realize that after you tried to kill me, do you really expect me to allow you to live? I'm not an idiot. But since you seem to be educated enough, I can assure you that all hell will break lose if I died, The Immigrant will make sure that happens."
Traveling in the storm, Allan was walking quickly. He looked around, seeing nothing but brown and grey. He heard the drones approaching, he needed a way out of this. Starting to run, he was ankle deep in the sand, trying his best to move before tripping. Once he got up, he saw a cave... this was probably a good hiding spot. Allan swiftly ran into the cave, taking cover behind a large rock. He made sure his shotgun was ready as well as his machete.
Yīng and his team moved up to the doorway, taking positions to maximize there suppressive fire. Bullets tore through the doorway as many of palace guards either dove for cover or were tore down by bullets. ---- As Allan took cover in the cave, an APC pulled up out outside as a US squad deployed out of it. "Alright team, sweep the cave and watch for movement. Remember, we are NOT to kill unless absolutely necessary so keep your hands on those lights." They slowly began to enter the cave, pulling on the night vision goggles and switching on the tac-light on their rifles.
Aenigma looked Sorokin dead in the eye. "The Immigrant doesn't scare me. I've taken down much worse." Aenigma was formulating a plan in his head. Sorokin looked strong, but if he could cloak and attack from behind, he might have a chance.
"I'm doing more then just establishing a society from the ruins of war, I'm bringing peace to a world currently at war with itself. The East approves of my methods, I'm doing things diplomatically and if we are forced to protect ourself from you hypocritical figures of power, we would have no choice but to protect ourselves whenever necessary. Germany, England and America tried to attack us in force when they tried to "Invade" a perfectly peaceful alliance, and look how that turned out. Out of an attacking force of 200,000 almost 185,000 of them were killed within half an hour. We almost didn't lose a single solider, so that alone means we are serious to the unification of Europe. Remember, entire countries are joining us on their own terms and not because they don't want to. France and England are currently at war with another, and it is getting increasingly violent. Western Europe might be in a cold war, all that is needed is the spark and you will find all of Western Europe in bloody civil war. " Sorokin responded before looking at Aenigma in the eye. "Tell me, do you understand the concept of Martyrdom? A death of a martyr could either break the spirit and morale of an entire people, or rally them together and awaken the power of the common movement. Millennium has supporters worldwide, millions if not billions of people agree to me with the unification of Europe. If you killed me right now, the entire planet is going to hell. Nuclear weapons will be thrown by the arms of tyrants, and my death will herald the sound of the end of the world." "We are not the enemy" Sorokin said sadly, but his voice still filled with pride. "Millennium and the East wishes for peace, the West wishes for endless war. Who do you agree with, Assassin? Who do you fight for?"
"I'm no assassin. Just a man trying to make a living." Aenigma was honor-bound to help the UN, but, if he denied Sorokin's offer, he would be killed on the spot. He decided to take up Sorokin on his offer, and shoot him while his back was turned. "I won't die here. I'll join you." Aenigma turned on his radio. "Inspector, mission failed. 53413." 53413 was an old UN code phrase used to mean, "I need to lie low, I'll contact you later." Aenigma hoped the inspector knew the code phrase, or he would lose contact with him.
