Oh god. I just saw a video on FNaF 3. I feel like the game's creator is constantly putting out sequel by sequel just to make the franchise into a cash cow. I hope the video was fake and I'm not starting this thread for no reason.

Nope, it's the real deal. I feel like it's the same thing as well, but it's a pretty good game for what it's worth.

Did you guys hear about the new animatronic!?
    It's a horse!
    And it's dead!
And you need to hit it repeatedly with a baseball bat to make it go away!
    (beating a dead horse joke)

That said, I'm interested in seeing morons piss their pants over animatronics as many times as that guy will make sequels, so bring it on.

Well... FNaF 2 was more of a Pre-quel than a sequel. And the game has quite an inside Lore if you didn't knew.

To be honest... I don't mind. It's a guilty pleasure of mine to watch my favorite YouTuber play this series and react to it. Even if I have to search for when the jumpscares occur in the video. Because they're jumpscares and they're pretty bad. In a good way of course.

My only concern is that this series is starting to begin a slew of "copycat/knockoff" games. Five Nights at Treasure Island, Five Nights at Wario's, etc.

I'm worried someone will make a MLP:FiM "Five Nights at." If that happens...

I may feel obligated to Let's Play it. Because apparently this is what people like. Seeing people react/scream at scary games.

    Please god no...

No one's going to make an MLP:FiM "Five Nights at"... right? RIGHT?!

Hey! You don't have to play it on the radio for every chucklehead watching...

Still, there's a thing about this: these games are almost insanely easy to replicate and code. Refining the gameplay and overall design so that it's still scary is the trick.

You see, these games are made of very simple components. Just pre-rendered backgrounds with some very simple code to hold it all together. They're simple to make and so, are easy to churn out. I don't think it's Scott being greedy, I think it's the fact that Scott know's he's got a hit and knows that these things can be pushed out so quickly. Besides, it pays his bills and he seems like a smart, interesting developer when

Personally, I'm hooked on the back story and lore. It's amazingly engrossing if you started looking at it from the beginning as it told you nothing. You had to expose yourself to the game to get all the little piece of the puzzle. The second one is similar but not as much. The third will likely add more. I will wait eagerly to find out about it. Not to play it.

It's actually kinda unpleasant to play, which is an issue...It's almost masochistic.
