I'd be more than happy to apply as a community patrol. I'm always there for my friends, and i've solved many familial problems. More than that, i've went through a lot of bullying, and i've promised myself to always help the people in need. If you need people to watch over the forum, and act as a mediator in conflicts, I'd really like to help. Since i joined EPN, i've helped and been helped by many people around, and i'd like to do something for this community in return. A few hours ago, i've read something on Tumblr, and realised how much people kept their problems from others. If you want to see what i answered, here's the link to my page : asksaullaski.tumblr.com Thanks for reading, and taking my application in consideration~ -S
Ill be Forum Mod. Please ~merged~ I would like to apply for Forum Moderator please. I am very good with dealing with crises.I seem to stop an arguement ever time im in one. :/ I've been dealing with some stuff now on some other sites and i've been getting it over with in about 5-15 minutes.... Thats why I want to be a Forum Mod..... :derpe:
I hate doing this, but....I would like to say that I am in the chat much more than the forums, and if they was ever a need for a chat moderator I'm always open to taking the position I know there is usually a mod or admin in the chat, but I have been in the chat many a time where it is has no mod whatsoever, and I like the idea of having a bit more people available when they're needed, and the idea of being a chat moderator does appeal to me, and I do hope you would consider me if there was ever a need for one
I would like to apply for forum moderator. The reason being is that I love being on this site and spend most of my time on the internet right here on Everypony. I am very active on most of the sub-forums, and I feel like I would like to give back to the site for the awesome time it has given to me. Thank you for consideration, SnowM.
I honestly never thought I'd put my name up for any of these 2 spots. If this site ever needs a new Forum Moderator or Community Patrol I'd like to have my name throw in to the running. I can't say I have many reasons why I deserve to be either of the two. I'm active, pretty much on this site everyday for at least 12+ hours. How else would I have gotten 15,000 posts. I live in the GMT-5 time zone, but I work over night so I'd be on mostly between 7PM-1PM during my work days and on days I have off, I'm pretty much always online. Yep, that's all I really got, I've never been a mod or anything so I have no experience doing this. Other then that I've been here over a year. I'm sure my actions here can speak for themselves on whether or not I should even be considered. I'm not even sure if you guys even check this thing anymore.
I sure hope they do check this... Also, previous experience wasn't a deciding factor when I was staff, so people really need to stop worrying about that... Unless it's been changed in my absence D;
Don't worry guys. Each and every application is read thouroughly. Just keep in mind that leaving an application won't always get you a job, and we're not always looking to add new staff. Your applications are kept in mind for when we do need some new staff members. And like Grey said, experience isn't a deciding factor. :derpe:
Yea, I figured this. I kinda figured that it would be like applying for a job IRL, though they may not hire you now, they will usually keep you on file as a just in case.
Hello Even though I've only been on the forum for a few days, and I know full well that I should in no way be in any kind of moderating position after that long, I thought I'd put the application in as I enjoy moderating in a light aspect. ^^ I enjoy psychology, and with that I find great interest in how people work, both in terms of cognitive thought and action, and the act of anthropology itself. I enjoy the varying ways in which people communicate through means such as forums, and in my past moderating positions, I've felt that understanding how people work on a more psychological level can help with sorting out problems that may occur with or between members in a public environment. I find that reasoning and understanding are the best way to diffuse problems. Rushing in with an eager intention to stamp down authority devoids the feeling of togetherness from the site, so I believe that handling matters on a more personal level with members can bring with it a great deal more consideration for the members. This can help solve situations with the least hassle for both Member and Moderator, as a conclusion can be created which best fits the intentions of the members. Everyone's different, and if adopted into a moderating role I believe that I have a great deal of consideration towards the diversity of our members can bring a warming and respected approach towards moderation ^^ (Even though the moderation seems to be like this already, which is awesome xD as not many forums act like that and instead adopt an elitist attitude... good on you all =D)
Every application remains valid until the user who posted it chooses to delete it. You're also free to make edits to your post with no need to update us on whatever edit you made since we'll read through every application again once we're looking for someone to fill a spot. That said, please don't post a second application for the same job, as it's sort of confusing for us. I gave more of an answer than you asked for, but i figured it was a good opportunity to share this information. :derpe: However, i would appreciate it if you guys leave this thread for applications only. If you have any further questions or notes on the subject of staff applications, please PM a staff member.
I'd like to apply for the positions of Forum Moderator and Community Patrol. Important Information: I live in Illinois, or the mid-west of the United States, meaning my time zone is GMT -6:00 Central Time. Despite this, I have very few conflicts that would prevent me from regularly appearing at odd hours to perform my duties. Why I Am Applying: I applied for a position once before, and I still want the staff to know that I am interested, both in that position and in these ones as well. I would love to make a commitment to this site and all its users new and old. I love helping others and it is for this reason that I am especially interested in the position of Community Patrol. My Skills: I feel that I am easy to talk to and down-to-earth. I never tire of listening or keeping the peace between people, even on a personal level. I love helping others and providing services to them: I find it quite fulfilling. I am moved more easily to sympathy than to anger and I am eager to learn. Thank you very much for your time, and have a pleasant day.
I would like to apply for Forum Moderator Prior Experience? Sorry but I am afraid I dont really have that. Dedication: I am on Everypony in ALL of my time available and a little more. Time Zone: GMT change a few minutes. Some more stuff: Might be updated. I know it is not very in depth and I apologize if it is not good, but thats all I can think off needing to be known.
Don't know if you still have my application laying about the place, but if you do then I'll go ahead and write up something anyway. This is for EP&RP chat mod or Forum Moderator; I'm available near enough anytime from 8am-1am, spaced out college classes gives silly amounts of spare time during the day. This of course is GMT. Like I said the last time, I've mainly had experience with moderating IRC chats etc, with a bit of forum moderating along side it for a while. Which consisted mainly of people of complaining and being sarcastic parasprites. Other than that there isn't any other relevant things. Just a lil' something, not much.
I'm confused as to why people are listing their experience with moderation. Grey and Rarit E have both said that experience will -not- affect the decision of you becoming staff. Unless you feel that it's rather important (Like you were an Overlord on 4Chan), I would just leave the 'I've done this and that is why you should hire me.' bits alone. This isn't directed at anyone, but it's just a friendly reminder. We don't care what experience you've had with a site. It very likely won't affect anything.
Im applying.I've noticed this site is going downhill and i think i have idea that can atleast stop it. Does that count as community patrol?
