"I believe so, but even then a wolf would have found it on the other side." Angel continued walking down a warn path, jumping over fallin logs and ducking under low branches. "Unless she went down the lake, but its far to cold for something like that."
"She can lower temperature, right? With her... emotions?" Ghost asked, a little concerned. "The reason why I nearly... y'know... died earlier, is because I cannot tolerate sudden changes in thermal temperature, so that would mean, and I'm pointing a hoof at anypony, but you and Frozen could've killed me... You didn't, instead you tried to help me and I'm grateful for that, really. And you, following my instructions, almost disintegrated a good chunk of the world." Ghost pawed at the ground, obviously uneasy about discussing the Alicorn mass extinction event that could've taken place.
Angel looked back at Ghost. "We didnt mean to, we didnt know. Frozen was only stressed out, it wasnt her fault she cant control the temp." Angel looked foward and vanished through the bushes. She reached a stream wide enough for a filly to easily snake down. Angel looked left then right then back at the water. The rocks at the bottom were shifted like a pony had stepped on them. Angel stepped in the water and followed the tiny hoof steps.
Frozen had made a good start. She had run down the stream as far as she could. Running, the stream started to freeze.
"I-I know she couldn't control it, besides, I did ask her what her special talent was, and she must have thought it best to show me. I think she has great potential, as do you." Ghost said softly, staring straight ahead.
"It feels.... colder..." Ghost said, looking around quickly, and then he adjusted a dial on his filter. "So, who's this Hellbent guy? You didn't answer me before."
The river was cold against her hooves. The water splashed at each step, drenching Angel's legs. Her magic creating a warm light that lit the river as she went. "Frozen?" Angel looked around, under bushes and up in the trees. "Your Hellbent, he was a rather scary pony, almost attacked Frozen, though i seperated you two and thats when she ran away." Angel stayed looking forward, her horn glowing brighter.
Frozen got to the mouth of the river. It was deep, but the only way to get across it, was to... well.. cross it. She stood up, and her horn glowed. She began her trek across the vast lake, freezing the water as she walked across.
"We should hurry, it'll get dark soon. Um, I hate to suggest this... is she afraid of the dark?" Ghost asked. He seemed hurt, Why does she keep ignoring me? "Hey, Angel, when we find Frozen I want some answers, ok?"
"Where'd Hellbent come from? Why and how am I him? Exactly how close to attacking her was I?" Ghost asked, desperate for answers as the river grew colder with each step.
Angel felt the water get colder, the water on her legs turning to ice the farther she goes. "Shes close" Angel brushed through the last bushes and nearly fell, The water now at her shoulder. She ignored Ghost question and moved on.
"*cough* *cough*" Ghost started coughing awfully similarly to before. "*cough* Don't worry, *cough* I'm okay. *cough* *cough* *cough*" he tried to reassure her, and turned the filters' dial to the right.
Angel looked back again and quickly picked up the pace. She found a small frozen bridge that led to the otherside. "This way." Angel lefted the water and started in a canter. "Frozen!" Angel noticed the little filly up ahead and slowed down. "Oh thank Celestia you ok. We need to get back home before dark."
Frozen turned in the surprise, and her horn's aura went out. That was when she fell through the ice. (Muahaha)
Ghost hid his face from her, ashamed of his act of violence against Frozen. He didn't say a word to Frozen, he just kept avoiding her gaze. When she fell through the ice, Ghost lost all concern for his own safety and dove in after her.
A small blue light shone in the water. Upon closer inspection, it appeared to be Frozen's horn. But the light was slowly fading.
Angel jumped trying to catch Frozen but missed. "NO!" Angel shouted. She slid to the hole and went down. Her wings stretched out. Angel's body went full in, the water shooting pains through her legs. The cold air filled her lungs, swimming was not at her strong suit.
Ghost swam after Frozen as fast as he could, and reached out for her. His vision was fading, but he kept going.

Ghost finally grabbed Frozen and then went back towards the surface, towards Angel. He punched a new hole in the ice, and latched onto Angel's wing at the last second. "Shrry," he said, as he maneuvered Frozen onto his back and supported Angel with his arms. Ghost swam towards the solid shore, almost blind from exposure.
