Angel saw the papers and snapped out her wings. "And these are what?" she said through gritted teeth. "You..." Angel was lost of words. She was both angry and upset. "How could you?!" Angel's eyes started to glow their purple hue, and her horn brought out her Platinum armor.
"Angel... It's not what you think!" Ghost shouted, going into a defensive stance. "I-I don't want to h-hurt you... please... just let me speak, ok? Then you can skewer me to the walls... "Please... Angel..." Ghost was drawing closer to her, slowly but surely.
Angel pushed Frozen behind her with her wing. "Dont you dare come near us.." Angel's voice snapped and her eyes cleared after her armor was fully on. Angel's eyes showed more hurt then anger now.
"Angel, please... I'm begging you, don't attack me, please. It won't end well, for either of us. You might get hurt... please let me speak..." Ghost's eyes were filling with tears. He took a step closer, now only inches from Angel's face.
Angel backed up till she was right to the edge of the platform. She stood normal again and her eyes started to fill with tears but she blinked them away. Her wings drooped to the floor covering Frozen. Angel was at a lost of words.
Ghost took a step back, "Can't we talk inside?" He asked, brokenhearted. He was scaring off his only friends he'd ever had... "Please Angel... I'd never hurt you, even if you attacked me. I swear. Please, just listen to what I have to say, alright?" Ghost spoke very quietly, and he hung his head in shame.
"Okay... Here, you want to feel better about this?" Ghost held out a combat knife, "Go ahead, take it..." He said, a deadly seriousness in his voice, despite the tears falling to the floor. "Hit me with it as hard as you can. Now!!!" Ghost screamed.
Angel shook her head. For the first time in her life Angel showed total fear. Her vision now blurry from the tears. She took a step back but quickly relies she couldnt.
"Angel, please... either strike me or come back inside... You need to know the truth... Please, Angel... don't make me drop down and beg," Ghost said, still holding the knife out before Angel. "I won't force you to do anything... I just want to tell you the truth..." He took another step back, giving Angel about one foot of room. His tears continued falling, leaving shining streaks on his face. He was desperate, and didn't want to hurt her. Ghost slowly removed his mask, again revealing the horrible disfiguration, and threw it over the edge.
Angel couldn't do it, her large eyes now glossy from tears. She felt betrayed and alone like ever. Angel felt her legs give in and she fell to her knees, the tears streaking down her white coated cheek. "I, cant i just cant." Angel wanted to leave so badly but she knew she couldnt.
Ghost smiled a little and replaced the knife..., "I guess I can tell you here," Ghost coughed a few times, "I have those documents because Celestia ordered me to hunt you two down. I refused, so she sent me to that school. I was asked again to hunt you two down, and this time, I agreed. It was mostly because I had already seen you both, from a distance and I guess I wanted to protect you two somehow. I don't know what you did to make her hate you, Angel, but don't worry, I'll try to protect you from her." He looked at them reassuringly. "I think they want you for testing because of your unique talent, Frozen. As for the blueprints and battle-plans, I don't quite know what they're trying to do, but I think it has something to do with the mansion in the forest, and the old schoolhouse on the outskirts of Ponyville." Ghost explained, "Yes, I'm a foal of the military, but I don't kill innocents or harm friends, so that's a double bonus for you two." He said, then went to retrieve his mask.
Without saying anything Angel took off, she jumped from the platform and ran into the forest, tears flowing faster. Her wings getting clipped from the branches, she didnt care she just kept running farther ad farther into the woods. Her hooves making small claps on dirt floor. She dodged trees and fallen logs and finally came to the edge of a cliff into rushing waters. Angel broke down and fell to the floor not caring anymore.
Ghost flew after her, racing as fast as he could. I'm sorry, Angel... I'm so sorry.... He thought as he chased after her.
When Ghost caught up to Angel, she was a mess. He slowly approached her, "Angel?" He cautiously asked, "Please, let me help you..." Ghost didn't dare get closer...
Angel looked up and quickly got back up to get away. She tries to fly but feathers were missing not allowing her to fly. "Please just stay away." she sobbed. Angel's eyes showed more loneliness the more tears come.
"Angel..." Ghost said, stunned, "I-I was trying to protect you! I didn't want you to find out what Celestia was up to, because I knew it would crush your every belief," Ghost took a step towards her, then another one. "How do you think I felt when I was ordered to murder two ponies I didn't even know? I was horrified, alright? I told her that it was an awful thing, and I left." Another step, and another. Soon, Ghost was right beside her, bandaging her wings.
Angel pulled back. "No.." She pulled in her wings in and moved away from Ghost. She didnt trust anypony anymore, she didnt know who to trust anyways. Celestia, the pony who took her in after her parents left. What about Luna? Or Cadence? Angel continued crying and she hated herself for showing her weak side so openly.
"Angel... please..." Ghost reached out, and put a hoof on her shoulder. "Angel, can't you give me a chance...?" He said, his eyes were full of guilt and sadness as he tried to comfort Angel in some way...
Angel paniced and jumped away. Her eyes wide like she felt a thousand needles from the one touch. Her knees buckled and she fell once again. Her horn glowed and a earth dome covered her leaving in the dark. She just wanted to be left alone, to get her mind straight.
"Alright, Angel... you wanna play hard-to-get? Fine." Ghost's eyes glowed a magnificent green, and emerald flames appeared from the corners of his eyes, "I just want you to know, you're hurting the ones who care about you!" He screamed in rage, then ran off deeper into the forest...
